Happy Fourth, Orioles!
Usually, we like to think of Orioles as beautiful orange and black birds that spend the winter in the northwestern states. But today, the Orioles happen to be a baseball team that got beaten like a drum today by the Chicago White Sox.
Yes, I was there as the Baltimore Orioles had to take out their leadoff pitcher in the fourth inning because he had already given up eight runs. I was also there for both of the three run homers, one hit by Paul Konerko and one by Juan Uribe. I was even there to cheer for Jose Contreras as he walked off the mound with his sixteen victories in a row, soon to be seventeen.
Needless to say, the White Sox won this game, thirteen to zero, so I decided to post this in order to make the Orioles feel better. Unfortunately, I don't think it's going to work. Oh well. At least the birds will understand.
