   The Guardians Quest
Chapter 1:
Sunleta’s Return Part 1



It was night now in the human world and 10-year-old Meghan was getting ready for bed. She disliked going to bed because she thought it was a waste of time. Her dreams were always strange and never made sense. Sometimes she even forgot what had happened in them. But it was night and she had to go to bed because school was the next day. 5th grade wasn’t the easiest to get through.

Back in Moonleta’s world, Moonleta was getting ready for a dreamscape spell. Only those of high dark magic could use this spell. Moonlight was Moonleta’s element, which is a solar element of darkness. She also had her spirit to help her.

Tonight Meghan did have a dream. It seemed so real. She was walking down the corridor of a castle. At the end of the corridor there was a spiral staircase. Meghan decided to follow it because she could hear a voice calling to her. The staircase was long but she made it to the top. She opened the door and entered a small room. On the wall there was a mirror with many gems and swirls of gold. The room was pretty empty and there was no one in it. No one human that is. By the mirror there was a girl with very long silver hair that was evenly cut at the end. Her eyes glowed a mysterious blue-gray, and she wore a red and black velvet robe. She wasn’t much taller than Meghan but she was most definitely older. The strange girl then spoke in a misty but clear voice.
“Hello.”
“Hi?” was all Meghan could think of to say.
