   R.O.D. the TV series
Well I watched the infamous R.O.D. TV. Like the OVA, the fast fighting paper motif is still the same, but with different characters.

R.O.D. starts out with Nenene, who was best friends with Yomiko, flying to Hong Kong for a book signing of her best-selling novel that she wrote years back. When her guide takes her to her hotel, the room that she was going to stay in blows up, and the sponsors want to cancel her signing because they're afraid terrible things will happen. But Nenene insists that the book signing go on as planned. So she goes to stay with her guide, who happens to be one of three sisters who love reading, and like her book (although some hate it). She shows up for the signing, and there we are treated to a crazy ROD action sequence, complete with magic paper action! Because of course, the sisters are paper master like Yomiko, and aren't your normal "guides". In fact, they end up (for reasons I will not describe so you can enjoy the first eps. more) flying back to Japan with her, and becoming her bodyguards.

I'm very partial to Anita. I love her mature attitude even though she's the youngest of the trio. Maggie is the middle child and is tall, lanky, and slow(physically wise, not mentally), but she's like Hana from Fruits Baskets. Always supportive of her sisters. Michelle is the oldest and the semi-stereotypical blonde. She makes up strange plans that would never work in a million years, but somehow work anyway. weird....

It's a great anime and pretty funny too. Like when Anita tries to fix Nenene TV with super glue. Hopefully I can get the rest of the DVD's by the end of this week...
