Today was interesting to say the least. Went to the eye doctor to pick up my contacts. That place is close to my high school, and my mom and I wanted to know what was up with field hockey because I had signed up at registration, and practice was supposed to start the 16th of this month, but we never heard anything about it, so we went to the school to see what was going on. We found out that practices had started the 16th, and the woman at the front desk didn't know why we hadn't been informed, but she told us that there was practice today at 3:30. I went, and we met other freshman playing on the team that hadn't been informed of anything either, so I didn't feel so alone. Another girl who I met and I went to the coach just to get things straight since they hadn't even had us on the list... He finished our conversation with the words "Well, are you ready to run?" He then went on to announce to the team that we would be running three miles. I think that the thought was worse than the actual run, but whatever. He then told us (after the run) that we'd be running that every practice. Oh boy...
I had already made plans yesterday to go to the mall with Kelly, Tassia and Kelly's friend from camp, who brought another friend. I invited Brandon, since we went to a movie after shopping for two hours, but he couldn't come because he had to pick James up, feed him and make sure he read his book. James still has two books to read and two reports to write before his school starts in two weeks, and he won't do things like that unless someone's there to yell at him...
My shins are really sore from running... I've never run three miles in my life, and I'm not in the greatest shape... The only reason I didn't quit is because I want to get into shape, and running three miles a couple times a week will probably do that for me... Well, that's about it. I'll try to post before school starts, seeing as when it does it's unlikely that I'll have time to do anything besides sleep, eat and do homework...
