3 days without school...
This is the longest time since I was in elementary school that I've been out of school for weather. The first two days, it was WAAAAAAAAAAAYYY TOO cold for us to even BE at school (they turn off the heaters over the weekend so that we won't have to pay the heating co. as much... cuz we're so poor... XP ). Today, we're off for a snow day... I think... it's just as cold if not colder than yesterday... The thing is, the high school starts homeroom at 7:15a, middle schools @ 8a, and the elementary schools @ 9a. Our school district is known for not cancelling school for snow. The board's usual excuse is that by the time the snow has accumulated so much, the high school students are already at school (WHO GOES TO SCHOOL AT 6:15 IN THE MORNING????????????)... but yeah...
So I'm just grateful that we've gotten over half of this week off!!! ^_^ ... except that I haven't seen Josh since Saturday... and the Turnabout Dance is this weekend... I hope that doesn't get cancelled... o_o' ... Okies, talk to you all soon!!! ^_^

In honor of the month of February, I've put up one of my favorite "romance" songs... "Romance"!!!!!!! XD It's sung by Ayaka Komatsu, who played Minako Aino/Sailor Venus in the Sailor Moon live-action, "Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon" (PGSM for short). When it was performed in the Kirari Super Live Concert in Japan, Komatsu-san was accompanied by Miyuu Sawai (Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon) and Chisaki Hama (Ami Mizuno/Sailor Mercury). I posted this performance a few posts back... it was the one where they were doing the hand thingy (like rubbing their palms together... ^_^' )

According to the website, Nazanin may be a free woman by tomorrow!!!!!!! ^_^ The court ruled that the previous verdict was based on inaccurate evidence or something like that... I don't quite remember... But does it really matter??? SHE'LL BE FREE!!!!!!!!!! XD XD XD

I just wanted to thank everyone who signed the petition and spread the word about Nazanin. When I first read about it, I thought, "Poor girl! If anyone should be punished, it should be those men! Doesn't she have a right to defend herself?" And then I thought about all the times I stopped myself from objecting something I didn't approve of. I most CERTAINLY didn't approve of this, so then I thought, "There's a life at stake here... I WON'T SIT BACK AND WATCH THIS TIME!!!" So I logged on, found the website, and signed it.
Anyways, that's my story on this. I ask that everyone keep Nazanin Fatehi (the convicted girl) in your thoughts and prayers. Even though today's only the 9th, Iran is about a day ahead of us. I think the re-trial will be starting tonight our time. Please everyone, Nazanin needs all the help she can get.
**PLEASE HELP SOMEONE IN NEED!!!** THIS IS AN URGENT MESSAGE!!!!!!!
An 18-year-old girl in Iran was arrested for killing a man who attempted to rape her and her 16-year-old neice last year. (There were two other assaulters, but only the one died.) The girl's neice was set free, but because the man died as a result of the 18-year-old (17 at the time of the assault) stabbing him, the girl is facing the DEATH PENALTY.
However, Iranian officials will be holding a retrial, which will begin on January 10, 2007. An Iranian-Canadian woman (who happens to have the same name as the convicted girl) has put together a petition to save the girl. Currently, there are OVER 220,000 SIGNATURES, but the girl needs all the help she can get!!!

Not only will this petition SAVE THE GIRL, but it will also give hope to other women who were unfairly imprisoned as well, possibly even allow laws protecting women and girls in surrounding areas to be passed.
