dj:*coming down the stairs* who are you?
corey: oh, hi! im corey, im a friend of marissa's.
dj: oh...*thinks: well i know her name and that she's mari's friend, but what the heck is she doing here?* i guess you're looking for mari, right?
corey: who?
dj: mari..you know, tall, reddish brown hair...
corey: oh, marissa! yeah...
dj: that's her on the couch...
corey*looks over at mari and knives asleep on the couch*
knives:*has an arm around mari's waist*
corey:*looks confused* but i thought she was going out w/ jake.
dj: ok, let me explain this: mari, or marissa, in the 'real' world has 2 boyfriends, jake and myself. but, like many otakus, she has an alternate reality in her mind, in which, on top of having 2 boyfriends, she is also married to knives, who is also my split personality. mari and knives got married after knives got mari pregnant. he also had to divorse the woman he was married to. in other words, there's a lot of love triangles going on...

dj: nevermind...
corey: wait, so it's like this: marissa is going out with 2 boys, one locally and one over the internet, AND she's married to an anime character
dj: yep
