Happy Belated Halloween!
Mood: Mellow

The week is half over! Rejoice with me, you know you want to. Anywho, I hope you guys had fun on Halloween. My friends and I went trick-or-treating, believe it or not. Our school was holding a trick-or-treat for charity, so we decided to do it. And our group collected the most money, so we won a set of two spooky (and kooky) DVDs. Go us.

Some people gave us some pretty weird things. There was this one house that just gave us random stuff from their pantry. For instance, my friend Heather got a lighter, someone else got a jar of Crystal Light, and I got . . . WHOLE WHEAT PANCAKE MIX!!! That made me so happy. XD So yeah. That was our night. The only downside was my sniffling and sneezing the entire time. I caught a little cold over the weekend, but I'm starting to feel better now.

I'm sorry to turn from Happy Happy! to angst-mode so abruptly, but . . . I'm thinking about leaving theOtaku. I think it might be time for me to move on. I haven't been happy with my artwork or posts lately, so my site here is probably just a waste of space. And I hardly ever visit your sites anymore, it seems. I'm probably boring you all -- I'm sorry.

Oh, and if Heather tries to play 'matchmaker' one more time, I'm going to crack her friggin' sternum. Yes, sternums shall crack under the wrath of my iron spork. You poor thing, you probably think I'm kidding about this, too. o_O

Someone actually stole one of my crap-tacular fan arts.
This person needs to take down my Melfina fan art. That first picture of Melfina in her three different forms is in fact mine, which I submitted to this site a couple of years ago.

Anyway, this weekend is family weekend, which means my dad, grandma, sister, and her husband are visiting from Wisconsin. And actually, they're all going to arrive here in a second, so I need to go meet them . . . like, right now.

Sorry about this whole mess with the art thief and stuff. I'll see you guys later.

One strange morning.
Mood: Stupefied

This is one wussy hurricane, I tell ya (I think we're only getting the outer fringe of it). Were classes even cancelled? No. It's just all cloudy and rainy . . . which is okay, 'cause I actually kind of like this kind of weather.

Then something happens in Psychology class. Class was going normally; the professor was lecturing, the students were taking notes, nothing unusual. Then, all of a sudden, the girl who sits in front of me, who is also my study-buddy for that class, passes out and collapses to the floor. The class is dead silent. I'm just like, "Um . . . Danielle? *rubs hand on shoulder* . . . are you . . . okay?"
The instructor, meanwhile, runs to get help and dismisses the class. I felt so utterly useless! I was just sitting there, watching. I didn't want to attempt to move her, because she looked like she was having a seizure . . . and I don't think you're supposed to move seizure-people. So, then the paramedics arrive (fast response! Wow!), and they take her away to the ambulance. She looked like she was coming around when they wheeled her away, so I'm pretty sure she's okay.

Other than that, nothing out of the ordinary has happened. My roommate and I went to my mom's apartment for the weekend and got some sewing done on her Hanmyo costume. We've almost got the bloomers done -- she's a really fast learner! Sakura02 is on a roll! And it looks like I'll finally get my Utena wig after all! I e-mailed a different wig seller, and they said they'd be able to order the exact wig for me.

Maybe I'll post a picture later. I have to get ready for my next class.

I just want to thank everyone for wishing me luck on those tests I had this week. I got my scores back, and I'm happy to say that I did way better than I thought I would. ^_^

The return of the James emoticons!
Mood: Blah.

Just a quick update. Not much is new, really. The skirt and duelist coat for White Duelist Utena are almost completely finished. I just have to make the epaulettes and sew on twenty-something silver buttons. Yay buttons. XD

I hate life this week. I have two exams coming up on Wednesday. It wouldn't be that bad . . . but they're just there . . . looming in the distance. I just want to get the blasted things over with already. And I should be studying right now, but of course, I'm not. o_O' Okay, no more whining.

I've been drawing some of my friends' original characters. I'm almost done coloring one of them. Anyway, if you're interested, here's a preview of one I have yet to color: Meet Seraph.

Oh, and to atreyu7slip - please forgive me, I haven't forgotten about your site banner . . . that I still haven't drawn. I'm really sorry it's taking so long.

I'll probably post the weekly AMV tomorrow . . . or sometime this week.

   Yeeeeeee!!! I'm not stupid after all!
Oh my freakin' God. I just got my Psychology journal back, and I got a freakin' 100! The prof. even gave me a "Good job! Keep it up"! I feel like break dancing now. And I was so nervous he would hate all my articles and give me a 9 or some ludicrously low grade like that. Sorry. I'll shut up already.

Oh . . . and I also posted another AMV . . . for the first time in . . . forever. Yeah.

   Seizuriffic!
I only have one more class until I'm off for the weekend! I'm so happy 'cause later this afternoon my roommate (Sakura02) and I are going to my mom's apartment to work on our cosplay costumes. I'm happy to say that White Duelist Utena is coming along nicely. Too bad that wig seller completely crapped out on me and never sent my Utena and Juri wigs. At least I'm getting a refund, though. I think we're going to start working on Sakura02's Hanmyo costume for our "Under-cosplayed Characters of Outlaw Star" group. As some of you already know, I'll be crossplaying as Harry. Damn these characters and their seizuriffic hair. @_@ Something tells me I'll have to disembowel lots of aqua sharpies.

Completely Random Tangent:
Just to warn you, this might border on Too Much Information. So, I went to the campus physician to get refills for my stomach meds ('cause I'm sick all the time if I don't take them). Now he wants to give me psych meds for my stomach. Yes, they're for my stomach. Yes, I'm probably in denial of my having mental problems. o_O' Go scary twisted me.

So, how do you like my new theme? A friend, who lives one floor down, introduced me to Weiss Kreuz, and I took an instant liking to Schuldig. We're already formulating a Schwarz cosplay group. God save us. XD

So, it's time for more randomness. Yesterday, for our drawing projects, my roommate, another friend, and I went to this really posh hotel across the street so we could draw in the lobby ('cause the lobby has cool-looking sofas, fountains, and all that nice fancy hotel stuff that would be interesting to draw). Everyone was like, "Oh, look at the artists!" And we're all like, " . . . um, it's just a project for our drawing class." We're tourist attractions now. I feel special.

Oh, and Kephren is one of my homies. Her artwork is awesomeness incarnate. ^_^
