I had my first day of classes yesterday! It wasn't bad. Here are my classes:
- Intro to Psychology
- Life Science (Biology)
- Freshman Seminar
- Drawing and Composition
- Math for Liberal Arts I
I was supposed to take another class, Speech Communications, but the registrar just dropped it from my schedule for no reason. I thought it sucked when I found out, but now, I think five classes will be enough for me this semester. Oh well.
I would post some pictures of the Disney trip, dorm room, etc, but I have to leave for class soon. So I'll post those next time. Later!

I survived moving in!
Well, I'm happy to say move-in went well. I was pleasantly surprised to see my dorm room wasn't as tiny and God-awful as I thought it would be, and actually, we've got quite a bit of space. And everyone here is really nice! My roommate, neighbors/suitemates, and almost everyone else have been really friendly. It's almost freakish . . . but hey, I'm not complaining!
So yesterday was pretty much devoted to moving in, then in the evening, we went to the Welcome Picnic and the pool party. This morning we went to orientation and picked up all our ID cards and whatnot, and after that, I went out to lunch with my roommate and a bunch of girls we met during orientation.
Tomorrow we meet with our advisors and solidify our class schedules, and then on Tuesday we do the Freshman Disney World Trip. The college experience has been pretty positive so far; I only hope it continues like this!
I'll probably post some random campus and dorm room pictures sometime soon, as well as Maboroshi's pics from AFO (they're online now! Yay!). So yeah. That's about it for now. I think I'll do some site visiting soon.

Mood: Tired of packing, but okay otherwise.
Well, I'm going to leave for St. Augustine soon, and then tomorrow, I move in to my dorm room. This is just pretty much a quick post to let you know I might not be on much during the next few days. Anyway, I'll let you all know how everything goes.
I hope school's going well for all of you who have already started. Well, I'll be off!

Mood: A-OK!
As a fair warning, this is one of those posts where I say something on the lines of, "I just posted a new piece of FANART!!! *cough* votenoworhaveyoureyeseatenbymadsquirrels *cough*"
o_O' Sorry. You don't necessarily have to vote, but I would appreciate it if you'd go take a look.
In other news, I'm just packing and getting stuff together for college. I move into my dorm room on Saturday, which means we have to drive the dog up to the step-grandparents' on Wednesday, return on Thursday, and shove off for St. Augustine on Friday. I'm looking forward to it, mainly because my roommate is awesome. I got to talk to her a little bit over the summer, and what do you know, she's a fellow anime fanatic! She's also into art, and likewise, she's a fantastic artist. Go check out Sakura02's art -- you won't regret it!
So, in conclusion, I just hope I don't fail every course, become a social misfit, and be reduced to living in my mom's basement 'til I'm 35 . . . no one would like that very much. XD

Mood: Disturbed
Okay, lesson for today: The time and space continuum is not something to be taken lightly. In other words, never watch The Butterfly Effect when you're home alone and bored out of your skull. XD Darn it. Why can't I have freaky time travel powers like that?
So yeah. I had absolutely nothing to do today, and while surfing around the movie channels as a last resort, I came across The Butterfly Effect. I remember one of my friends talking about it a while back, so I said to myself, "Hey! I know what I'll do! I'll watch THE BUTTERFLY EFFECT!!!" 'Cause I'm just weird and spontaneous like that.
On another, completely unrelated note, Risingsun.net still hasn't posted their pictures from Anime Festival Orlando. When they do, you can bet that I will, yet again, post a slew of cosplay photos.
I also had the pleasure of seeing the first two DVDs of Chrno Crusade, and the first DVD of Tsukihime: Lunar Legend. Both turned out being pretty good, in my opinion.

Back from AFO
I had a great time at AFO this year, and of course, I have lots of pictures so you too can take in the madness. Here are a few of the pics we took/ had taken:
Me as Juri and Diana as Rosebride Shiori
Me lying on the Rosebride gown (that skirt can devour small countries!)
I love how I get to look all high and mighty in this costume.
I so totally suck at being angsty.
Lady Subaru bridge goodness (try to ignore the one exposed shoulder)
Lookin' all angelic and stuff.
Shine bright morning light . . .
A good shot of the wings
More pictures are still to come. We also got pictures as Rei and Asuka, and Tohru and Yuki, so I'll be sure to post those as soon as they're ready. I'll also post some more Juri Arisugawa pics when the actual wig makes its way to my doorstep (I'm very grateful that Diana let me borrow her Asuka wig for the convention).
I thought it was funny how we kept being referred to as "Fire Utena" and "Dark Anthy." XD I guess only the hardcore Utena fans are familiar with Juri and Shiori. All in all, it was a great weekend (though I think the best part was simply being with Diana. She's just so much fun to be around!).
Oh, and I also changed my theme! That's actually a guy in the background ^^ . . . yeah . . . it's Rosiel from Angel Sanctuary. Gotta love those pretty boys. Anywho, this background is now up in my wallpaper gallery for anyone who's interested.

Mood: Giddy and braggadocious
Well . . . remember Metrocon? I just found out that I won an award for my Rei plugsuit. My friend, the fabulous Asuka, told me the good news yesterday -- we both won Hall Cosplay awards! W00t! So now we can act all snobby and elitist and stuff! Kidding, of course XD.

Mood: Angsty
Okay, first thing's first, I love the song "Hotel California." If I had the skills and the time, I would so make the definitive Revolutionary Girl Utena AMV to that song. Seriously, if you've seen RGU, and if you listen closely to the lyrics of "Hotel California," the song matches up to the anime freakishly well (just the whole premise of the Ohtori Academy). It's almost scary -- I can't believe nobody's made an AMV like that yet.
Other AMV's I'd love to make:
Elton John's "Someday out of the Blue" + .hack//SIGN. Beautiful song -- I think it really could be used to illustrate Tsukasa and Subaru's friendship.
Green Day's "Jesus of Suburbia" + Outlaw Star. Each segment of the song would correlate to a different character (Jesus of Suburbia -- Gene; City of the Damned -- Melfina; etc, etc...).
The Barenaked Ladies' "For You" + Fruits Basket. This song defines Yuki.
So I e-mailed the seller who sold me my Juri Arisugawa wig yesterday, basically asking a polite variation of "Where the hell's my wig, yo?!" When I ordered it two weeks ago, I clearly and specifically stated I'd need the wig to arrive by August 1st, at the very latest since I'm going to wear it to a convention. Well, yesterday was August 1st. No wig. And to make things worse, the seller didn't give me a straight answer in his reply e-mail. I asked if the wig had shipped yet. His answer: "I've been a bit behind. I'll be shipping out a batch of wigs later this week." . . . Suck fest.
But anyway, since I've been talking so much about AMV's, here's the question of the week:
Q: If you had the time and the skill, what AMV would you make? (answers can be as detailed or undetailed as you wish)

Well, I got a lot of things done since my last post. My Juri costume's almost finished and I'm almost set for Anime Festival Orlando next weekend. I'll be sure to post plenty of pictures after that's over.
AwesomeDude898: I finished your birthday present not long ago and I'll be posting it in my gallery. If you would like a copy of your own, please PM me and include your e-mail address (I just realized I don't have it, otherwise I'd just go ahead and send it to ya ^^;). Anyway, I hope you had a great time at the beach, and I hope your birthday was awesome! Happy sweet sixteen!
