Mood: Unproductive
The James/Kojiro icon says it all XD. For the last two days I've been doing nothing besides sitting and being glued to the computer. Oh, wait, I practiced piano for an hour yesterday. Big whoop. I should really be getting stuff done, like working on my Juri costume, contacting Diana (my awesome friend and cosplay partner) about AFO, and drawing the various drawings I need to have finished by next week. *sigh* I don't know what's gotten into me.
Okay, enough ranting. Maybe after I finish typing this divine inspiration will strike and I'll actually be motivated to get off my lazy hindquarters. Doubtful, but at least there's a sliver of hope. Anyway, I uploaded a new wallpaper, and there's also a new AMV up for this week. Go knock yourself out ~_^.

I must be on a musical kick . . .
New AMV -- Cell Block Senshi (Cell Block Tango). I love Chicago (the movie).
Thanks to everyone who answered that survey in my last post. I appreciate it very much. ^_^
Some of you asked to see more pictures of my Yuki costume, so here's a picture Risingsun.net took at Metrocon:
Also, if you want to see all of my costumes, there's a link to my Cosplay.com gallery up in my intro. I update it pretty often.
Anyway, I'm in the midst of making yet another costume. I'm trying to crank out as many costumes as possible this summer, because when I go away to college, I'll only be able to sew when I come home for breaks. This kind of explains my lack of fan art, lately.
Question of the day: Do you have any quirky little habits (like biting your nails, for example)?

A little cosplay survey
I found this on someone's site and decided it would be fun to post. Answer only if you want to, and please answer honestly if you do so.
1# If you could have me cosplay anything, what would you have me cosplay?
2# If you could have me cosplay anything with you, what would you have us cosplay?
3# Which costume of mine do you like the best?
4# Which costume of mine do you dislike the most?
5# Which character that you've seen out there do you think most matches me in terms of personality?
6# Which character that you've seen out there do you think most matches me in terms of appearance?
7# What should I never cosplay?
8# What should I cosplay more of?
9# What costume should I take more pictures of?
Thanks! ^_^
Oh, and I still need help with making my background stay put while scrolling. Please PM me if you know how to do this.

Let's do the Time Warp agaaaaaaiiiiiin!
It's just a jump to the left . . .
Anyway, I'm happy to say I'm back home now! The house is just as I left it -- not even a shingle is missing. Thanks so much for all of your prayers and concern.
My trip to Wisconsin was pretty fun, actually. On Saturday night my sister, a bunch of her friends, and I went to see the midnight showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Oriental theatre downtown. It rocked so much! And as a result, I'm on a huge RHPS kick right now ^_^.
So, how do you like the new theme? I call it "Akito Sees Blood." Dramatic, ne? ^^
Well, before I go, here's a little survey-thingy I found on atreyu7slip's site:
Layers | Created by andy and taken 14844 times on bzoink! | Layer.one | Name | . . . ^^ | Birthdate | March 31 | Birthplace | Milwaukee, WI | Current location | Somewhere in the Florida panhandle | Eyes | Hazel-ish | Hair | Red | Height | 5'7" and a HALF!!! ^_^ | Righty or Lefty | Righty | Zodiac Sign | Aries | Layer.two | Your heritage | Mostly Dutch, Scottish, and German. | Your weakness | Weakness, you say? Not telling. :p | Your shoes you wore today | Black suede sneakers with hot pink laces | Your fears | Besides nuclear war, you mean? LOL (Some of you might get this) | Your perfect pizza | Honey wheat crust, just a small amount of garlic butter sauce, mozzarella and gouda cheese, sliced tomatoes, and artichoke hearts. | Goal you'd like to achieve | Lots. I'll just leave it at that. | Layer.three | Your thoughts first waking up | It's early . . . too early. | Your best physical feature | Flat-chestedness? Er . . .not. -_- | Your bedtime | Around 10 or 11 | Your most missed memory | My childhood gang of friends back in Texas and Wisconsin. Those were good times. | Layer.four | Pepsi or Coke | Neither. I dislike soda with a passion. | McDonald's or Burger King | McDonald's -- I just like their breakfast (Oh savory McGriddle!). | Single or group dates | . . . | Adidas or Nike | Adidas, I guess. | Lipton Ice Tea or Nestea | Neither. Snapple all the way. | Chocolate or vanilla | Both. It depends. | Cappuccino or coffee | I'm not a coffee drinker. I like chai, though! | Layer.five | Smoke | Never have, never will. | Cuss | Sometimes | Sing | Yes . . . I sound like a drunken sailor, but I don't care! | Take showers daily | Usually. | Have a crush | Only on fictional characters (I have delusions . . . seriously!) | Think you've been in love | Nope. | Want to go college | Yep, and I am. | Want to get married | Someday, yeah. | Believe in yourself | Sometimes. | Get motion sickness | No, thank goodness. | Think you're attractive | Sometimes. | Think you're a health freak | Yeah . . . oh yeah. | Get along with your parents | With my mom, definitely. With my dad, pretty much. He can be a jerk, and thus, calls upon my scorn on occasion. | Like thunderstorms | Yes, unless I have to drive during one (that's just a pain). | Play an instrument | Yeah . . . I'm not that good, though. | Layer.six - in the past months | Gone to the mall | Yes | Eaten an entire box of Oreos | No. I don't think I've ever eaten an entire box. | Eaten sushi | No, though I'd like to try it. | Been on stage | Yep! It's washed out by now, though. | Stolen anything | No. | Label.seven - ever.. | Been trashed or extremely intoxicated | No. But cold medicine makes me veeeery loopy. o_O; | Been called a tease | No. | Got beaten up | No. | Layer.eight | Age you hoped to be married | I don't know . . . I'd like to be married by the time I'm thirty, I guess. | Number and name of children | Haven't given it that much thought. | Dream wedding | Small, with only a few close friends and relatives, preferably in a cool and distant location. | How do you want to die | Happy. Not old and alone with a dozen cats as my only company. | Where do you want to attend college | The place I'm going off to this fall . . . | Dream job | Animation expert | Country you want to visit | Japan (Wow, where'd THAT come from? I wonder . . .) | Layer.nine - In a guy/girl... | Best eye color | I really don't care. Green, if I had to pick. | Best hair color | It depends on the person and how the hair color matches with the person's features (If that even makes any sense). | Short or long hair | Long. Long all the way! | Height | Moderately tall. Not too tall, though. Just a bit taller than I am. | Best weight | Whatever's healthy and fit. | Best clothing | Stuff that fits right, is in relatively good condition, coordinates, . . . doesn't look like you just got back from a three day long Phish concert and forgot to do laundry. | Best first date location | The Hypolita St. Bistro. They have really, REALLY good food, and it's a really laid-back, come-as-you-are setting. | Best first kiss location | . . . | Layer.ten | Number of drugs taken illegally | 0 | Number of people I could trust with my life | Just my mom, really. Maybe my sister. | Number of CDs that I own | A few. Not many. | Number of piercings | 0 | Number of tattoos | 0 (Big surprise, eh . . .) | Number of times my name's been in the news | 5 | Number of scars on my body | 1 | Number of things in my past that I regret. | Must I really answer this melodramatic, emo-filled question . . . ? | Create a Survey | Search Surveys | Go to bzoink! |
That seems vaguely familiar; I think I might have taken that one before, but oh what the heck.
P.S. Could someone please tell me how to make my site background stay in place, instead of repeating as I scroll down? I'd be forever in your debt.
See you later.

Joy of joys, my house is about to be destroyed . . .
Well, my mom called yesterday and said she had to evacuate to Daytona. It's ironic how the big devastating hurricane comes when I'm in WI for one week during the summer, isn't it. Needlesstosay, I might be staying in WI for a little longer. I don't want to sound all whiney and emo, but things aren't looking too good for the home front. Hurricane Dennis, which is currently just south of Pensacola, is now a strong category 4, and the eye of the storm is actually projected to go over my neighborhood. Damn. Why, oh why, didn't I put my cosplay wigs in the closet?!
I'll keep you all posted on how everything turns out. To everyone else in the path of the hurricane, good luck and stay safe.

Jet setting . . . well, sort of.
Well, I finally posted a new AMV! Videodesk was giving me problems before, but all's good now.
Song: I Believe in a Thing Called Love
Artist: The Darkness
Anime used: Excel Saga
I haven't seen Excel Saga yet, but I just thought this video was cool nonetheless. The lip synching isn't the greatest, but other than that, this video just makes me want to head bang and laugh 'til it hurts. Yeah, I'm a dork. o_O;
In other news, I'm making my obligatory summer trip to Wisconsin tomorrow. Luckily, I'll only have to endure six days of the madness (and I'll be staying with my sister, so I won't have to put up with my dad and stepmom's shenanigans).
*looks out the window melodramatically* . . . I do hope I have a house to come back to here in the "Sunshine State." We're getting the fringe of some tropical storm that's hitting the New Orleans area, and in a few days, we might have a hurricane moving in. We'll just have to wait and see, I guess.
Question of the day: What's your favorite city in the US (that you've been to)?

Get ready for some pictures . . .
Metrocon was awesome! I had a great time and met several new friends.
Now, here's my rundown of the con:
Friday -- pretty fun. My mom, Tristin (friend from Miami), and I met up for breakfast, and then we headed to the convention. I cosplayed Rei that morning so I could meet with the other Eva cosplayers for a photoshoot, and changed into Chii around noon.
The amazing Diana as Asuka
So much emo. From left to right - me, Tristin, and Janet
Asuka and Rei
I gave out candy (Hershey's Kisses, to be exact) when I was in my Chii costume, and everyone loved it. Some people were all like, "Awww, you're so sweet!" while others just kind of looked at me strangely, but they took the candy anyway ^^. We went to a few panels and browsed around the dealers' room for most of the day, but then the time came to attend the Final Fantasy Ball. I was a little disappointed in the FF Ball since they completely cancelled the pre-ball dinner and waltz instruction. The Ball was also really late getting started, but once it did start, we had a great time.
Me as Yuki, Diana as Tohru, and Tristin as Kyo at the ball
Saturday -- okay. The reason for my so-so rating of Saturday probably has to do with my feeling rather sick and sluggish (my acid reflux really flared up from staying up so late and not getting enough sleep). I hate my stomach -- it's such a wuss -_-.
But anyway, I did have fun seeing the Anime Human Chess Match, the Cosplay contest, and the Anime Idol singing competition later that evening.
Me and Tohru (Diana) after Anime Idol
Sunday -- really fun. I think Sunday was my favorite day of the convention since I got to participate in the costume contest. The Asuka cosplayer I met on Friday was so nice and awesome (we became fast friends), so we hung out for most of the weekend and decided to enter the costume contest together.
Out of character, lol
Really neat escalator shot
Moogle-ness!
In the elevator -- this picture is so cool
We didn't win anything, but we rocked just the same! Then, after the costume contest, I changed into Melfina and took pictures with the best Harry MacDougall cosplayer ever to walk the face of the earth --AWESOME-NESS!!!!
In your face, Starwind!
Synthetic Love
Awwwwww -- I look really strange here o_O
Harry's going berserk -- I look too happy, lol
I can't even begin to tell you how excited I was to see the Harry cosplayer.
I'll probably post more pics in the next few days, since risingsun.net (professional con photographer) will upload his pics soon. Anyway, I hope you enjoy all the photo-madness!

Metrocon, here I come!
First thing tomorrow morning (or later this morning, to some of you) I'm leaving for Metrocon! If I said I wasn't excited, I'd be lying. This is going to be the debut of my Rei plugsuit, Prince Yuki outfit, and Chii bakery uniform. The best part of it all, though, is the number of other cosplayers I will get to meet and take pictures with. So far, I know there will be three other Evangelion cosplayers and even an Outlaw Star cosplayer to meet up with. And my friend in Miami is going to meet me there and be the Kyo to my Yuki and the Hideki to my Chii. As you can tell, I'm very excited for the convention to begin.
I'll give you a big fat report on everything when I return, as well as some pictures of the madness ^^.

New AMV
Just dropping in to announce a new AMV. This one is divided up into different little segments, each one representing a character in Fruits Basket. It's really quite amusing, if you ask me.
The tropical storm came and went. It wasn't bad at all -- heck, we didn't even get any flooding or wind damage, so that's good. Today's been pretty boring so far, so I'll keep this short. Later.
