   DeviantArt Account
That's right -- I set up a deviantArt account. Here's the link to my little corner over there if you're interested:
My deviantArt Gallery

I haven't uploaded all of my drawings there yet, and I really don't know when I'll get to it. I've received a really warm welcome there already *ends sarcasm*. Really, why do random 14-year-olds hooted up on ritalin feel the need to leave derogatory comments? I'm not really offended since I've gotten off pretty easily thus far; of all the pictures I post, cosplay and artwork related, this has been my first real flame -- I've had it coming for quite some time now, LOL.

Anyway, as far as cosplay is concerned, I finally finished my Rei plugsuit -- I never thought I'd be finished. I think I'll take some pics of it on the weekend. I also started working on my next costume on my list, which is Chii from Chobits. I received the wig I ordered yesterday, and, er, here's the link to it (ducks behind a potted plant to avoid rotten tomatoes being thrown): Chii Wig

I think I went a little overboard with the eyeliner . . . I look more like 'Scary Goth Chii' XD.

Well, that's all for today. Thanks so much for answering my questionaire on my last post; it's interesting reading your responses.

Q of the day: If you could turn yourself into an anime character, which show would you be in, what would you look like, and what powers/ skills would you have?

Where are you on the highway of life?

From Go-Quiz.com

Pretty funny, though I think I've already reached Bewilderment Avenue ^^. Well, not much is new here; I changed my site theme back to Ayanami (since it's 'Evangelion April').

Oh, and thanks for helping me decide what to name my main character. I've narrowed it down to two or three choices, thanks to you guys. You'll find out my final decision sometime in the near future.

Questions of the day (feel free to give as short or as long of an answer):

1. What do you like the most about yourself (personality-wise)?

2. What do you think is your best physical feature?

3. What do you dislike the most about yourself (can be physical or personality-based)?

And remember, you don't have to answer those questions if you don't want to.

Well, sayonara!

   Evangelion April
This month, I am going to showcase only Evangelion AMV's, thus the title, 'Evangelion April.' Be prepared to be stupefied and amazed at all the angst and abstract imagery that Evangelion is so notorious for. This week's vid, however, is actually pretty normal and even has some instances of humor.
Title: Shinji Wants Love
Footage used: Neon Genesis Evangelion
Song: "I Want Love" by Elton John

Enjoy!

Oh, and if you haven't seen yesterday's post, please scroll on down and give it a read. Thanks!

Character Concept Sketch
I just posted the first character concept for the manga one of my friends and I are cooking up. My manga is still in the very preliminary stages; I've just been fiddling around with character designs and whatnot. I hope you enjoy -- I'll be posting more character designs as I finish them. I think the next design will feature one of the two main characters.

This is a very, VERY, rough sketch of my main girl character.

Question of the day: See that character up there? I'm contemplating a few names for her. As a sort of ironic allegory, all of the names I'm considering mean 'purity.' She's half-vampire, which means she doesn't necessarily need to drink blood to survive, but she still gets the desire for blood every now and then. Her blood's been tainted, and thus, is impure (hence the irony). Which of the following names do you think is the most appropriate for this poor nameless gal?

Catherine
Candace
Catalina
Chastity
Candida
Kolina

Any opinions or input will be much appreciated. I'm sort of leaning towards 'Catherine,' myself, but I want to hear your opinions.

So close to being finished it hurts.
I'm on the final phase of work on my Rei plugsuit. I've been religiously working on it these past few days so I can enter it in Cosplaylab's (one of the cosplay websites I'm registered on) 'Ayanami Look-alike Contest.' They have a different look-alike contest every month, and it just so happens that the character to emulate this month is none other than Rei. It's going to be a stiff competition; there are some extraordinary Rei cosplayers on that site that I'm sure I'll be up against. I'm feeling competitive right now, as you can tell ^_^. I just hope I can tie together all the loose ends for my plugsuit in time. Anyway, I'll keep you posted on how it goes. May the best Rei win!

oh, and here are some pics of the wrist guards (for lack of better term) that I completed last night:

I also finished the side braces, which are attached to the backpack piece, but the glue hasn't dried completely yet. I'll definitely post the finished product sometime in the near future.

Question of the day: would you say you're competitive?

With certain things that I enjoy, yes, I do have a healthy competitive streak.

Flagler College
First of all, I'd like to thank all of you who commented on my plugsuit. I've decided to go ahead and make the knee markings. Thanks, you guys! I really appreciate your help.

As reported by AwesomeDude898, xSakurax is going through a hard time; visit her site for more details.

Anyway, I got home last night, so I'll be sure to get to your sites soon. We saw the college, and is it ever fantastic. The campus is beautiful since it used to be a posh hotel back in the olden days (it was built in the 1800s).
Here are some pics from my journeys:

That's the college I'll be heading off to this September. It's located in the heart of St. Augustine's historic district and everything's a pretty reasonable walk, so I won't need a car! This is a post card, but the rest of the pics are my own.

This is the courtyard.

Here are the dorms -- the girls' dorms are right in the main building. Guys live across the street in a more modern building.

And here's the library; it's actually a new building constructed in that old-fashioned Spanish renaissance style. I cought a horse & carriage going by ^^.

Pretty cool, eh? There are even myths that the main building (including dorms)is haunted, so maybe I'll get to see some paranormal activity. I won't believe it 'til I see it for myself, though.

I would've taken some pictures inside, but there wasn't enough light for the pictures to turn out right. Oh well. St. Augustine's a gorgeous town -- it's like New Orleans, but cleaner and less crime-ridden.

Oh, sorry to stray from the topic, but I posted a new AMV today. It's chock full o' angst, so brace yourselves. Asuka's got some issues . . . but so does almost everyone in Evangelion, so what's new ^_^. The song is "Forgotten" by Avril Lavigne, and Neon Genesis Evangelion is the anime used (as well as the movies "Death and Rebirth" and "End of Evangelion"). I give this video a 7.3 -- I really wish I didn't have to condense this so much -- the original quality is great. Well, enjoy, and have a good week.

P.S. I'm 18 now! My birthday was Thursday, so yeah . . . I guess I'm technically an adult now *sigh*. My dad got me the Fruits Basket boxed set! I can't believe it!

   Leaving Town
Sorry I'm posting so late! It turns out that I'm going to St. Augustine tomorrow. That's where the college I'll be going off to is, so my parents and I arranged to tour the school. My step-dad just had surgery last week, so we thought we'd have to cancel and go some other time, but it turns out he's feeling well enough and we can go after all. We'll be staying at a bed & breakfast which is only two blocks away from the college.

Anyway, just to let you know, I won't be able to get online until I return on Saturday. So, have a good week!

More Progress on My Rei Plugsuit
Sorry I haven't been around much for the last few days; I was sick for most of the week and didn't really feel like surfing on the computer. I'll get to your sites soon, though, so don't worry.

I finally took updated pictures of my Rei costume today. Unfortunately, I'm still not finished. I have to add the side braces, wrist thingies, and a few markings on the suit still. I thought I'd be finished by now, but it seems like there's always just one more thing to add.

"You're just another brick in the wall . . ." I'm squinting like there's no tomorrow! The sun is not my friend, sadly.

That's the backyard in the background. I planted strawberries not too long ago and I'm waiting with baited breath for them to sprout. Heh, I have a rather saucy expression here *bad Rei!*, lol.

That's right, fear my white, zebra-striped @$$! ^^;

And finally, here's a good frontal shot.

I want your opinion on something: should I draw the characteristic plugsuit knee markings on the suit? If you're not familiar with the Evangelion character designs, here's a reference picture of Rei (See the markings around Rei's knees?):

Question of the day: are you involved in any sports?

I used to be on a volleyball team, but other than that, I haven't really been in on the sports scene.

The post about nothing . . .
Well, it turned out that the friend I was going to meet up with today got sick, so I'm off the hook for now. I feel bad saying that, 'cause I should be excited to see him; instead I'm just dead nervous.

Anyway, I just finished putting together a carrot cake -- right now it's baking. Later, when it's all cooled, I'm going to make a cream cheese frosting to top it off. I cracked open a cook book I haven't used in a while and found all these scrumptious recipes I'd almost forgotten about. You're gonna laugh when I tell you the title -- it's called Country Celebrity Recipes: Over 50 Great Recipes from Your Favorite Country Music Stars. Random, huh? I'm not a big country music fan, but those country musicians sure know how to cook! ^^

You guys are gonna hate me for doing this, but I'm considering thinning out my friends list. Before you pelt me with rotten cabbage, just let me point out that only people who never visit my site anymore (and vice versa), didn't add me as a friend, and haven't updated their sites in the past six months are going to be cut. If you think you might be cut, just comment or send me a PM and I'll gladly keep you.

Wow, this is turning out to be a long post. And nothing really interesting has happened. I added a new Rei Ayanami wallpaper yesterday; other than that, nothing. I guess I'll wrap it up.

darkeangel asks:
Q. What's your fav computer game?
A. TheSims 2. I'm such a Sim-addict ^^.

My question of the day: What's the funniest, most random object in your room?

I have a figurine of the Pillsbury doughboy currently residing on a shelf.

   Only Two More Weeks
I can't believe that in exactly two weeks I'll turn 18. Little ol' me is gonna be 18 -- it's a scary thought.

Adding to my tension of turning 18, I might see a friend this weekend that I haven't seen in almost a year. He lives sort of far away, and he used to have some issues with me, hence why I haven't been in touch. Supposedly he's worked them out now, but I don't know. I'm still a little nervous, so wish me luck. Anyway, we're concocting a manga; it's in the very preliminary stages right now, but I'm working on the character concepts, so as soon as I finish those, I'll post them.

Without further ado, here are my answers to the questions you asked:

AwesomeDude898 asks:
Q: Who are your favorite musical artists?
A: Right now, my favorite artists are the Barenaked Ladies, Evanescence, and Jewel.

Q: Do you like Metallica?
A: I've only heard a couple of their songs, really. From what I've heard, yeah, I'd say I like them.

Q: At about what time do you normaly go to sleep on average?
A: Usually around 11.

darkeangel asks:
Q: What's your favorite non-anime program?
A: Hmmm, probably MTV's Daria or King of the Hill.

Thanks for the questions, guys. Feel free to keep the questions comin'.

Here's my question for you today:
If you had to change your hair color (any color, realistic or unrealistic), what would you change it to?

Oh, and happy St. Patrick's Day! Lots of people think I'm 100% Irish since I'm a red-head, but actually, I don't think I'm even the tiniest bit Irish. Whoa, that was random. Well, ta ta!
