Bandwidth . . .
I'm sorry to disappoint you all, but unfortunately, I can't post an AMV this week. My bandwidth on videodesk.net is all used up for the month, so I'll just have to go video-less until next week. I do have good news, though -- I'm almost finished with my Rei plugsuit! I'll post another pic sometime soon.
In addition to the question of the day, I've decided to have you start asking me questions. You can ask anything you want, but I have the right to reject questions if I feel they get too personal. I'll answer your questions in my next post.
Q. of the day: What's your favorite junk/fast food?
I'm a sucker for soft-serve ice cream. If I could, I'd definitely have one of those machines in my house. I'd probably get fat, though.

It's That Time of Week Again . . .
You guessed it, it's time for yet another AMV.
Title: In The Dark
Anime used: Fruits Basket
Song/Artist: Harder to Breathe by Maroon 5
My rating: 8.3
My two cents: This video portrays how the cursed members of the Sohma family are always the outsiders in society. At the center of everything is Akito, who of course, is only furthering the pain. The creator did an awesome job synching the footage to the beats of the music, and the stark black and white scenes really emphasize the overall dramatic ambience.
In other news, I posted a new wallpaper last week for all you Kyo fans out there ^_^. There isn't much else going on, so I'll keep this short. Have a good week, everyone.

Sex, Lies, & Roses -- AMV of the Week
That's right, it's time again for another music video. This week, we have a splendid video using footage from Revolutionary Girl Utena set to Midtown's "Is It Me, Is It True?" I think this video captures how bizarre and surreal RGU really is. It amazes me how the creator synchronized everything so well. It's such a shame I had to compress this so much -- the original quality is exceptionally clear and precise. Anyway, I give this AMV a 9.5.
I also uploaded a new drawing; it's a tribute to Yuki Sohma. Go check it out, especially if you're a member of ElvesAteMyRamen's Yuki Fan Club ^_^.
I'm very fond of Yuki. My family bears a fair similarity to the Sohma family, and a lot of the things Yuki says and does hit close to home. So yeah, it's always a bonus if you can relate to the character.
Well, take care!

New Theme!
First of all, I would like to thank AwesomeDude898 for plugging about the AMV feature on his site -- thanks a bunch!
Here's the new theme for March -- Yuki Sohma! So far, he's my favorite character in Fruits Basket. Not to mention, my favorite color is purple.
I uploaded a new wallpaper (the current background). I'll probably make wallpapers for each of the Sohmas. I also added a new piece of fan art -- it's a bit risque', so view at your own risk. The unedited version is pending for approval at Fanart Central, so once that's situated, I'll post a link to it. It's really not THAT graphic, but I just wanted to be safe since this site is open to all ages.
Well, that's all for today. Sometime this week I'll post the next 'AMV O' the Week.' So until next time, take care of yourselves.
Oh, and thanks to everyone who replied to my question about Fruits Basket -- it turned out that my mom had to go do something, so she couldn't watch it with me =(. But I know she'd like it =). Thanks again!
EDIT: The unedited version of "Servitude," the fan art I mentioned earlier, is now available. Unedited Pic Here.

Fruits Basket
Hey, I just have a quick question for anyone who's seen Fruits Basket: is it family friendly? I just rented it today, and my mom is curious about it. Would it be a good, somewhat "clean" anime to show her?
Oh, and if you haven't already, check out the AMV of the week! Sorry if it takes long to load; I'm spoiled with my cable modem ^^;.

AMV of the Week
Well, I think I'm going to add a new feature here at the dollhouse -- weekly AMVs. None of these are mine; I just downloaded them from www.animemusicvideos.org. The AMV should show up at the bottom of my intro, right above this post, and that's where they'll be from now on.
To christen this most splendid of events, this week we have a Rurouni Kenshin vid set to Green Day's "Boulevard of Broken Dreams." I had to condense the bejesus out of it so the vid would fit within a certain 5MB limit -- sorry for the crappy quality.
My thoughts on the vid: While the effects are simple, the concept and song are very fitting. I give this AMV a solid '8' on the 1-10 scale.

Short Post
This is just a short post to let you all know I posted a new fan art. All I have to say about it is "CHII!" Yeah, I'm on a Chobits kick.
I've been like a ghost around here lately -- sorry guys. I'll get around to your sites soon. Not much else is new other than the new pic. See you all later, and have a good day.

Well, I finally finished Artukei's request drawing of Outlaw Star's Aisha in a wedding dress. I was having trouble deciding the perspective and pose, but since I wanted the picture to showcase Aisha's beautiful wedding dress, I decided to go with a simple frontal stance. I posted it yesterday after the submissions were enabled. Go take a look, it would make me very happy ^^. I hope you like it, Artukei =).

Progress of Miss Rei
Here are some pics of my Rei plugsuit so far. I still have to add the sleeves, add more markings to the suit, and make the backpack armor.
I used Photoshop to make my eyes red -- no contacts for me (too expensive >_<).
Here's the full shot. Remember, the camera adds fifteen pounds -_-.
Oh, on my last post, a few of you asked what major I was going to pursue. I'm aiming towards art education, perhaps with an emphasis on graphic design. That's right -- I want to be an art teacher!
Question of the day: ah pooh, no question today. Just tell me a random factoid about yourself ^^.

And the decision is . . .
I've been accepted to my first choice college! I'm so happy; now I know where I'll be this fall, and I won't have to complete any more applications! The only downside is I have to get my annual doctor's checkup and immunizations for college (which I've been putting off, of course) squared away -- which isn't a big deal, but, you know -_-.
My mom came home yesterday, as expected, and she's doing fine. I've also been on a huge sewing bender these past few days -- it's hard for me to start working on a costume, but once I start, it's hard to stop ^^. Suffice to say, my Rei costume is really coming along. Right now I'm just doing some homework and getting stuff done for Monday. Well, that's all the news for today. Go check out the artwork by ElvesAteMyRamen, if you haven't already -- she's such an outstanding artist!
Question of the day: if you had to cosplay one anime character, who would it be, and why?
