Weezer and Fullmetal Alchemist
I posted a new AMV today. It's a Fullmetal Alchemist video set to "Say It Ain't So" by Weezer. Just as a disclaimer, I am NOT the creator of these AMV's; I'm just posting them because I think they're nifty and they give me something to look forward to every week. Most of you already knew this, but I've gotten a few PM's and comments from people either asking how I made these videos or congratulating me on a job well-done. Once again, I am not the creator -- I'm just a spectator who marvels at the skill AMV makers possess.
I did actually try my hand at making an AMV last year, but it's not something I'm especially proud of. My transitions were horribly off-beat, and the video quality was less-than-stellar since I just used some crappy online clips. But other than that one foray into the world of AMV making, I've just contented myself with being a spectator ^^. Maybe I'll try again someday. Who knows.
Anyway, Prince Yuki cosplay is coming along well. I'm in a bit of a stand-still since I'm waiting for the wig to arrive, though. I received the dye a few days ago; I'm hoping the wig won't take much longer.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot -- last time I said I'd tell you the story behind my screen name. Initially, I chose Living Doll as a reference to Rei Ayanami. I believe she says something in 'End of Evangelion' on the lines of, "I'm not your doll anymore," so my screen name sort of stemmed from that, as well as my liking of artificially created/clone/android 'doll-like' characters in general. I also liked the eerie yet childishly whimsical sound of the name, so it stuck. And that's it.
Question of the day: Why did you join MyOtaku? Was it so you could meet people, share your artwork, keep a journal, or something else?
