Get ready for some pictures . . .
Metrocon was awesome! I had a great time and met several new friends.
Now, here's my rundown of the con:
Friday -- pretty fun. My mom, Tristin (friend from Miami), and I met up for breakfast, and then we headed to the convention. I cosplayed Rei that morning so I could meet with the other Eva cosplayers for a photoshoot, and changed into Chii around noon.
The amazing Diana as Asuka
So much emo. From left to right - me, Tristin, and Janet
Asuka and Rei
I gave out candy (Hershey's Kisses, to be exact) when I was in my Chii costume, and everyone loved it. Some people were all like, "Awww, you're so sweet!" while others just kind of looked at me strangely, but they took the candy anyway ^^. We went to a few panels and browsed around the dealers' room for most of the day, but then the time came to attend the Final Fantasy Ball. I was a little disappointed in the FF Ball since they completely cancelled the pre-ball dinner and waltz instruction. The Ball was also really late getting started, but once it did start, we had a great time.
Me as Yuki, Diana as Tohru, and Tristin as Kyo at the ball
Saturday -- okay. The reason for my so-so rating of Saturday probably has to do with my feeling rather sick and sluggish (my acid reflux really flared up from staying up so late and not getting enough sleep). I hate my stomach -- it's such a wuss -_-.
But anyway, I did have fun seeing the Anime Human Chess Match, the Cosplay contest, and the Anime Idol singing competition later that evening.
Me and Tohru (Diana) after Anime Idol
Sunday -- really fun. I think Sunday was my favorite day of the convention since I got to participate in the costume contest. The Asuka cosplayer I met on Friday was so nice and awesome (we became fast friends), so we hung out for most of the weekend and decided to enter the costume contest together.
Out of character, lol
Really neat escalator shot
Moogle-ness!
In the elevator -- this picture is so cool
We didn't win anything, but we rocked just the same! Then, after the costume contest, I changed into Melfina and took pictures with the best Harry MacDougall cosplayer ever to walk the face of the earth --AWESOME-NESS!!!!
In your face, Starwind!
Synthetic Love
Awwwwww -- I look really strange here o_O
Harry's going berserk -- I look too happy, lol
I can't even begin to tell you how excited I was to see the Harry cosplayer.
I'll probably post more pics in the next few days, since risingsun.net (professional con photographer) will upload his pics soon. Anyway, I hope you enjoy all the photo-madness!
