2005 in retrospect.
Mood: . . . Reflective.
Yeah, I know it's a bit late for a New Years post, but I just need to take a moment to reflect on how awesome 2005 really was. 2005, though a big year of change, what with going off to college and someone close to me moving very, very far away, was a very big breakthrough year.
One: I graduated from high school and made the transition to college. I was really dreading that at first, paranoid that I wouldn't fit in at all, and thinking I'd have to leave my comfort zone and "childish" ways (anime, manga, cosplay, etc...) behind. But, I was very pleasantly surprised when I found there were people who shared my interests and accepted me without question. God, that sounded so sappy and melodramatic. >_<
Two: I've really learned a lot about just loosening up and taking chances. True, I've still got a long way to go in that department, but it's a step in the right direction.
Three: Number two sort of leads into this one -- meeting all sorts of new friends (whether at college, anime conventions, or right here at Otaku). 2005, without a doubt, has been a blast, and it was all thanks to you guys (you know who you are ^_______^). You guys have really made my year something special.
Okay, so now that that's out of my system, I have a big long survey that I stole from atreyu7slip's site that I'm going to post . . . later, 'cause in a little bit I have to go to the hospital and get some stuff taken care of. Bleh.
Oh, and to answer Logan's question from my last post, a fancel is a fan-made animation cel. And, while I have been getting a lot of sewing and painting done over the holiday break, I actually haven't gotten around to drawing a whole lot of fanart. Though, I did upload something new a couple days ago. I'll probably post new cosplay pictures and whatnot sometime soon.
Okay! Well, I'll talk to you guys later.
