   Emo vs. Poseurs
I had to post about this. I mean to bring no offense whatsoever to anyone when I write this. Now days, everyone is emo. All you have to do is like My Chemical Romance or dye your hair black. no, you are not emo. Do these kids even know what emo is??? Its emotional, and I bet these 'emo kids' havent cried in forever. The emo kids I see now days are short, skinny, gorgeous girls, with that mullet-ish hair-do & black eyeliner. Yea, you look really cute. Yea, your boyfriend is hot. But who gives?? If I just described you, you are a total cutie, but youre not emo. Youre scene, kay??? I for one, have been 'emo' since 5th grade. Not neccesarily the way I looked or dressed, just my attitude & sense of life. I didnt know what emo was then, but looking back, it was definitely me. I am going to admit this too, in the past, I have cut myself. I regret it, but my scars have faded. I was going through a rough time, and it seemed like the only way to get away from it all was to cause pain. WRONG. To be honest...I dunno if I look emo. I am like, 5'4, 5'3, my hair goes a little past my shoulders, its boing boing curly, but i straighten it a lot. My roots are black, but my hair is dyed brown with hilights. when i do wear make-up, i wear black eyeliner, and not a lot. I wear what I wanna wear. No tapered pants or tight clothes. No emo glasses. No mullet. I like to wear headbands, ribbons, & bows a lot though....a tad scene, don't you think? I am called emo as a joke, because of the kind of music I listen to & the way I act. But dont think that by listening to Hawthorne Heights you will be emo. Im sorry if i, in any way offended anyone. Like I said, if I described you, you are very cute, but not emo =]]
