If I can do it, then so can you
Fate has been changed, I will be getting computer time. And I will once again be a part of the Otaku life. Don't ask why I made a sudden re-entry out of the blue.

Not too much has happened in my life that would be a cause for interest. But I guess I'll talk about it anyway.

As you all may have noticed, I sorta re-did my site a little bit. I do like a little bit of change now and then, but I swear it will have no effect on my personality which I relize that all of you have come to love me for. And I can't wait to get to talk to all of my friends here again.

About two weeks ago I was at my friends house to swim in his pool, but with me only having one leg I just sorta sat on the steps that lead into the pool. Hey, at least I got to go in at all, it felt nice in the hot weather. His little brother who is only five, had a friend of his over too.

About an hour later my friend when inside to get something for us all to eat and I said I would watch the two weasels till he got back. His little brother's friend didn't know how to swim so I knew this was going to be trouble from the start.

I stipidly wasin't watching him as he stood on the diving board above the deepest part of the pool, and, of course, fell in...the splash caught my attention and he was sinking like a rock.

I didn't think when I reacted. I kicked off with my leg and pulled myself along the edge of the pool with my hands to the other end of the pool. Then I did my best to dive down and thank the dogs he haden't sunk too deep when I got him else I wouldn't have been able to reach him.

When I got him up to the surface and pulled him over to the edge, he crawled out and caughed a little then cried out of fear of what had just happened. He was fine.

Then I finaly relized what I just did...I found it a wonder that I didn't drown too. The about five minutes later my friend came out and took his brother's friend inside. I crawled along the edge and over to the steps to get out myself. I left my crutches right by the steps so I could get out when I wanted.

Not only did I prove something to myself that day, but to my friend, his brother and anyone else who has hear that story, that everybody is capable of great things. You just have to have the right attitude about yourself to do it. So don't even for one second think that you are worthless, and don't let what may have happened to you or what people have said to you, make you believe that. All you need in life is a little self convidence, and you will make it though alright.
