   Hey, go buy the FLCL soundtrack!
No joke this stuff knock your socks off. I had no idea the Japanese play this sort of stuff. I thought it was all J-Pop (shudder) and a little Jazz, but this is like Rock/Punk/Jazz/buttkicking. I seriously think I've blown my computer speakers.Most of the songs on the CD are from The Pillows. I've checked and they are not distributed in th US, and it costs like $50 some bucks to import on of their CD's, and on a manga addicted students budget that don't work out. As I see it you either download their songs off of Kazaa or likewise (goodluck), or buy the FLCL soundtrack. That's an easy decision.

FLCL kicks so much major butt.
Sadly some of it I don't understand but I still love it. It ingeniusly pokes fun at anime, often catching you off guard, as is with most of the show. When it jumped to manga form for the first time I luaghed so hard I nearly plotzed. The battle scenes are beautifully animated and posses an air of realism not widely seen in nost animes. The characters are fully-realized versions of the people most of us want to be surounded by. With a main character that is much too serious and mature for a sixth grader and adults that giggle at dirty words and posses other form of gross immaturity; Fooly Cooly is the most original I've seen and one of the most original animes out there.

   Fan service is A-OK
What is it with people when a little tit-age comes on the screen or page, huh? If done tastfully it can move the story. In Love Hina (one of my favorites even though they butchered it in anime) most of the gags have to do with Keitaro seeing something he shouldn't or falls into the girls' bath leading to Motoko or Naru trying to kill him. In Ranma 1/2, Ranma will forget he is in girl form and go out shirtless as akane desperatly tries to cover him up, much to the chagrin of the nieghbrhood boys). What better ways are there to hold the interest of fan-boys than a little courtesy breasts. I can't think of one. I say we welcome the breasts and if you call me a perv.....well maybe I am.
