i've been watching tv all day. I watched Castle in the Sky, which has reaffirmed my belief that Hayao Miyazaki is a god. I also watched the first two episodes of Gilgamesh, which is pretty damn good. In addition to those, I watched Zatch Bell on Cartoon Network, and both episodes of One Piece that were on tonight. I seriously CANNOT get enough of that show!!! I'm ordering the first 4 box sets (120 episodes) from ebay. I also watched Samurai Champloo, tho ive already seen that episode, and now i'm watching inuyasha. I can't wait for S-CRY-ed and Paranoia Agent to come on either!! :-D K, i'm gonna go watch my shows now. and get ice cream :-)

   really random...
i'm bored. adult swim isn't on tonight, so there's no anime on tv right now and im too lazy to get any of my dvds. on the up side, there's less than a month to OTAKON!!! :-D

I kinda want fried rice, but that means i have to get up to heat it up. Its good, tho. I make my own instead of ordering it from any of the take-out places. It takes longer, but I like it better and i can put what i want in it.

I started writing again, but its going veeeeeeeeery slowly. my muses seem to have run away.

COME BACK MUSES!!!!!!!

anyway, i think i'm gonna go get my rice. later!

I LOVE this show... I'm watching S-CRY-ed on adult swim right now. I dont know what it is about this show that gets me so much, but its one of very few shows that i'll watch an episode of and at the end of the episode, i'll be like "what??? that was it???? I WANT MORE!!!!!!"

Anyway, enough if my ranting about S-CRY-ed. I also bought the second DVD of Kyo Kara Maoh! today, as well as the first Gilgamesh DVD. Anyone know anything about Gilgamesh? I've heard a little about it. enough that i wanted to see it, but can anyone tell me anything else? Ok, sleepy time now. I get to go to benihanna for lunch tomorrow! :-D

Poem from "The Perks of Being a Wallflower"
this is a poem from the book "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" by Stephen Chbosky. It's probably my new favorite book at this point. I finished it a day or two ago. Anyway, this is a poem that was in it. I dont know what it is about it, but I really love it, and I can't seem to read it enough, even though it's depressing. I just wanted to put it up here so that I have it saved somewhere that I can look at it whenever I want. It doesn't have a title.

Untitled (From "The Perks of Being a Wallflower")

Once on a yellow piece of paper with green lines
he wrote a poem
And he called it "Chops"
because that was the name of his dog
And that's what it was all about
And his teacher gave him an A
and a gold star
And his mother hung it on the kitchen door
and read it to his aunts
That was the year Father Tracy
took all the kids to the zoo
And he let them sing on the bus
And his little sister was born
with tiny toenails and no hair
And his mother and father kissed a lot
And the girl around the corner sent him a
Valentine signed with a row of X's
and he had to ask his father what the X's meant
And his father always tucked him in bed at night
And was always there to do it.

Once on a piece of white paper with blue lines
he wrote a poem
And he called it "Autumn"
because that was the name of the season
And that's what it was all about
And his teacher gave him an A
and asked him to write more clearly
And his mother never hung it on the kitchen door
because of its new paint
And the kids told him
that Father Tracy smoked cigars
And left butts on the pews
And sometimes they would burn holes
That was the year his sister got glasses
with thick lenses and black frames
And the girl around the corner laughed
when he asked her to go see Santa Claus
And the kids told him why
his mother and father kissed a lot
And his father never tucked him in bed at night
And his father got mad
when he cried for him to do it.

Once on a paper torn from his notebook
he wrote a poem
And he called it "Innocence: A Question"
because that was the question about his girl
And that's what it was all about
And his professor gave him an A
and a strange steady look
And his mother never hung it on the kitchen door
because he never showed her
That was the year that Father Tracy died
And he forgot how the end
of the Apostle's Creed went
And he caught his sister
making out on the back porch
And his mother and father never kissed
or even talked
And the girl around the corner
wore too much makeup
That made him cough when he kissed her
but he kissed her anyway
because that was the thing to do
And at three A.M. he tucked himself into bed
his father snoring soundly

That's why on the back of a brown paper bag
he tried another poem
And he called it "Absolutely Nothing"
Because that's what it was really all about
And he gave himself an A
and a slash on each damned wrist
And he hung it on the bathroom door
because this time he didn't think
he could reach the kitchen.

   Watching movies again...
So I just watched Lupin III: The Secret of Mamo and X: The Movie.

Ok, Lupin was good. I love the show, so i was a little bit surprised, cause for some reason I felt that Fujiko was kinda out of character for the majority of the movie. Other than that, I loved it. Yay! They kiss! WooHoo for Lupin x Fujiko!! I'm not really a big shipper for them, I just feel really bad for Lupin. Poor guy's been chasing her forever!!! And it was sooooo cute when he just came out and said "I adore you. I thought you would have realized that by now." (I dont think thats the actual like, but it's pretty close). Anyway, uber cute movie if you like Lupin III, though I still like the series better.

As for X, NO ONE TOLD ME IT WAS DEPRESSING, DANGIT!!! I knew it wasn't going to be alll peachy-keen, cause it was about the apocolypse for cripes sake, but jeez! Someone could have warned me that there was a possibility of me like breaking down! (Which I dont do often, and I've found 2 movies in the last few days that come close). Never-the-less, it was an incredible movie. Granted, the sync of the voices and the mouth-work was a little off (in the dubbed version), but the voices themselves seemed to match pretty well. Ok, I'm gonna back down on the anime critic thing for a few hours. lol.

As for the comment I made a few days ago about wanting to cosplay as Deunan, I'm starting to work on figuring out the costume. It's pretty simple, but the gun holsters are being a pain.

The 'zine is still in the works. My co-creator and I are workin on putting stuff together. Again, if anyone is actually reading these posts (not likely haha), let me know if you have suggestions for the zine, or if you wanna contribute original art or an original story or an article! I'll be lookin forward to hearing from you!

K, I'm gonna go read for a little while (not manga, unfortunately... I need to buy more...). More later!
