Viennese Balls.
So. I went down to IU on Saturday to attend a Viennese Ball being put on by one of my best friend's dorms. I'd gotten a dress a few weeks before and I had all my make-up and hair stuffs and things were looking good.
Laura (Val's girlfriend) and I were hanging out in Val's room when I suddenly realized that I had forgotten my dress back at home. It would take three hours to get back to my house, pick up the dress, and get back. And we were supposed to be meeting for dinner in three hours. I didn't have any make-up done or hair stuffs done. I was so upset (and of course Laura found this hilarious and was laughing so hard she hit her head on the corner of Val's desk...she now has a big red bump thanks to KARMA lol).
Thankfully, Laura has a huge family and one of them was able to retrieve the dress and meet us outside of Bloomington to get it to me. That all said, the crisis was averted and all was right with the world. While we were waiting to pick up the dress, Laura told me to draw to vent my feelings. I was hesitant at first because I can never seem to do anything but clean, finished, swirly-pretty things. But I went against my norm and just doodle-vented. Here's what came of it:
I amused myself..and Laura. And it really really did help. So we got ourselves done up and met everyone for dinner at a Japanese restaurant called Domo (which is wonderful). Then it was off to the ball for dancing and merry-making. A good time was had by all, and all looked very spiffy. See below:

Laura looks a bit like Angelina Jolie, doesn't she? It's the lips.
Alrighty, that's enough for today! I hope to get more art up soon..when school decides to stop being so time-consuming. Take care, all!
