Returning your guestbook post so late probably makes answering your questions pointless, but I'll give it a shot. ~_^

Psychology, for me, is lots of fun so I don't usually find too much difficulty in it. I think a subject becomes hardest when you've lost interest, which happens from time to time, but you should try it and see how you feel. Topics depend on the class, but a general Psychology course should briefly go over most of them. A pattern can usually be found in the main theories which explain the topic from various points of view - Psychoanalytic, Behavioral, Cognitive, Sociocultural, Humanistic, etc. :]
