Yu Yu Hakusho Wallpaper
Crimson Dusk or Kurama Explains it All
Kurama Explains to Yusuke: The rooftop conversation between Yusuke and Kurama in episode 7 of Yu Yu Hakusho. The red hue of the picture was a part of the anime sequence not an effect added by me. I did add the translucent close-up of Yusuku and Kurama over the main middle distance scene.

Greeting Cards, 2,000 Wallpaper downloads
Crush With Eyeliner
Put up two new greeting cards. One For Fun featuring Max from Beyblade inspired by the number of screenshots where I've noticed that Max has one eye closed.

The other features the GetBackers Ban and Ginji in a Friendship card. I think it is slightly different from most cards in that section

2000 Wallpaper Downloads
After posting, or rather having had approved, my 50th wallpaper a few days ago, another milestone was passed today with the 2000th wallpaper download. Listing my portfolio by popularity I notice that 9 of the 10 most popular of my wallpapers are GetBackers ones, the only other series to feature being Yu Yu Hakusho.

Three New Wallpapers (including the 50th)
GetBackers
Ginji and Ban are Here: A simple picture of the duo with a logo added. This is from episode 10 (Get Back the Phantom Sunflowers,part 2) as they return from their first assignment involving Clayman.

This is my 50th accepted wallpaper. The first, which I consider to be my best, was also a GetBackers wallpaper.

Beyblade
Max the Hero: The other Bladebreakers (except, of course, for Kai) celebrate with Max after he defeats Michael to win American championship in episode 28 (Bottom of the Ninth).

Yu Yu Hakusho
Spirit Detective Quartet: A horizontal line-up of the four main characters taken from the DVD menus from vols 1-4 (R2 English). I've been wanting to make a wallpaper like this for quite a while.

As I, by my standards, have posted quite a few wallpapers this week I will try to combine all these notes into one posting at the week-end.

Ginji the Peacemaker: Ginji tries to persuade Ban and Shido to be friends (episode 8,Timbre of Life, Resound although neither are keen on the idea. I think I should have made this wallpaper a little brighter.

Shido Submits: Girlfriend Modoka (not in picture) has talked Shido into submission (episode 40,Monkey Counterattack).

One Beyblade Wallpaper
Tyson Meets Max: Not exactly Tyson's first sight of Max (episode 3,Take it to the Max!) but a few minutes later just be Max shows Tyson the tricks he can do with a Beyblade.

Wallpaper and New Avatar

First Encounter - Kai Trashes Tyson: From the start of the second episode of the series (Day of the Dragoon) when Tyson meets and battles Kai and Kai trashes his beyblade. A gloating Kai, and bewildered Tyson survey the wreckage of Tyson's beyblade

New Avatar
As I was making that wallpaper it occured to me that both the pictures of Kai and Tyson would make good avatars. So I adapted the picture of the perplexed Tyson into an avatar and uploaded it just before the wallpaper. I realise most people would have gone for a Kai avatar.

Beyblade Wallpaper
The Coming of Dragoon
Something a little different this time. Instead of a wallpaper based on a single image I've used several screenshots from the first two episodes of Beyblade ilustrating how Dragoon became Tyson's bit-beast with the Seal of Dragoon, which I uploaded yesterday as a wallpaper, as the background.

I don't think the result is particularly successful. I think I made the wrong decisions about the size of the inset pictures and the proportion of the whole image they take up. Putting text in wallpapers is something gives me difficulties. I'm never sure which font, colour or size to use. I think I got the style right in this case but I'm not sure about size and the position isn't quite right.

Caged Animals: Ginji (in super-deformed form), Ban, and Shido behind bars from episode 40. The animals being the electric eel (Ginji), snake (Ban) and monkey (Shido).

Beyblade Wallpaper
The Seal of the Dragoon: The dragoon seal carving on Tyson's family sword before Dragoon became Tyson's bit-beast. I got this picture to use a background for other wallpapers but decided it could be a wallpaper by itself.
