6!! Woot!
“So, that’s it? That’s all there is to it? It’s that simple?” wailed Nicole. Gloria rubbed her human chin for a minute, then looked at Nicole and replied, “Uh, yeah. Pretty much. Of course, there’s a longer and more complicated version of the story, but I don’t want to bore you with the details. Just for you to know that you each have powers of earth, water, and air.” Lochelle moved around a bit, dancing on her orange boots. “Wow that clears it up. I’ve got the earth, Eureka’s got the wings, and Nicole’s got the…” She peered at Nicole. Nicole just stood there, watching her. “What are you doing?” She asked slowly. Lochelle looked at her as if she was crazy. “Duh, where’s your tail?” Nicole tilted her head. “Your fins? Anything that makes you different from a girl in a Halloween costume! I mean, come on, don’t you want a tail? Or fins?” Nicole looked at her, and then stepped back, against the fountain. “Come on, Nicole! Talk to me!” Lochelle put her hands on her hips. “I…” Then Nicole started to cough loudly. “Nicole!” Eureka ran over to her, and pounded lightly on her back. She tried to talk again, but she just coughed even more. “Quick!” yelled Gloria. “Dunk her in the fountain!” Lochelle gave her a puzzled look. “What the crap?” Lochelle shrugged, and pushed Nicole’s head into the water. At first, Nicole flailed around, pushing against Lochelle’s hand, but with no success. Some bubbles floated to the top of the water, and Nicole relaxed. “What? Get her out, Lochelle! Before you drown her!” Eureka shrieked. “It’s been like a whole minute! She can’t last that long underwater, right?” She turned to Gloria, who was studying Nicole closely. “Wha? Gloria! Why aren’t you helping her?! She’s drowning! Right?” “Hmm…Not really. All aquatic creatures in Skolta can breathe underwater, apparently also the water mage…” “But, why can’t she talk?” Lochelle asked, taking her hand off of Nicole’s silver hair. “When she is in mage form…Can you hear me, Nicole?” Nicole gave her a thumbs-up. “Anyway, when she’s a mage, due to the fact that her molecules are filled with water magic, she must be in water wherever she goes. Of course, though, when she is human she’ll be fine.”

Holy crap this is going to take forever....don't forget. This is very important later on in the story. ;)
