7!! Dang, this'll take forever
“So, you’re saying, she can’t talk when she’s a mage?” asked Eureka. “Exactly. Of course, she is holding a mermaid’s hair, which she is, so all you have to do is say the breathing spell used by the mermaids, to talk to others.” Nicole lifter her head slightly, to talk, but only a strange noise came from her. Lochelle, playfully, pushed both her hands on Nicole’s head. “Stay down there, mermaid!” Nicole, apparently annoyed by her actions kicked Lochelle. “Most creatures in Skolta take caution of making a mermaid angry…” Scolded Gloria. Eureka, focused on their newly appointed jobs, then asked, “So, when are we going to see Skolta? Or do we have to learn Tutluskan?” Gloria shook her head. “Yes, you will be going to Skolta another time, but not right now. And as far as learning Tutluskan, you don’t have to. Because , ancient mages, you already know it.”
“Aw, that’s not fair! I want a real cool power too!” whined Lochelle. Gloria sighed. “Yes, every one of you had a special power.” Eureka cleared her throat. “Oh, yeah, Gloria. How does Nicole use the breathing spell? I mean, are there magic words are something?” Gloria glanced at Nicole. “ Okay, Nicole, all you have to do is snap.” Nicole furious with the ridiculous spell snapped. When she stopped wheezing, she pulled her head out of the fountain, and dried her hair. “Geez, Gloria! Why couldn’t you tell me earlier? Though…am I really a mermaid?” Gloria looked at Lochelle, who was skittering nervously around the dirt path. “No, Nicole. You’re not a mermaid, but the water mage. It’s kinda like being the queen of the mermaids.” Nicole jumped into the air. “Cool! I’m royalty! That’s awesome!” Gloria looked at the sunset-filled sky and almost yelped with astonishment. “Oh, wow! It’s almost time!” She jogged in place as she said her last words. “Sorry girls gotta go to the mirror!” And with that, she was gone. Eureka recalled the words Gloria had said to transform them. She changed them all back to their uniforms and they all ran off, guided by the street lights across the roads.
The next day they met by the water fountain, where they discussed what about Gloria. “Can we believe her?” said Nicole. Eureka thought for a moment. “I think so. She did give us a good explanation for everything and…”
“So, you don’t believe me?” called an ice-cold voice. A girl stepped out of the shadows of the trees where she was supposedly listening.
“Gloria! Well, isn’t this a surprise? How nice to see..”
“Shut up. So, Eureka, tell me. Do you believe me or not? Am I not trust-worthy? Are you just going to stand there while a whole world is in peril?” She was raising her voice with every word.
