the beginning
Classes started today, bright and early 8am!
Got up at 7am and took my shower, then went to my first class, sans breakfast.
i ran up and sat thru 65 minutes of 'Welcome to CHM U110!' basically meaning welcome to Chemistry for Engineers. I honestly could not keep my eyes open, too early in the morning! i heard everything the professor said...i think. i just couldn't see him (eyes were closed). i know i filled out some forms answered some chem related questions, and wrote down some notes. then left for my next class. this class was to begin ten minutes later on the other side of campus! on the way, i made a friend who wasn't sure how to get to class, luckily they were going to the same place i was. unluckily, i ended getting lost anyway and we were 10 minutes late to class! we didn't miss too much and now i won't be making the mistake of using an unfamiliar route again ^_^;
honestly i had planned a route the previous day that took me to the building in the most timely fashion, and for some reason i didn't use it! Argh!
then i had some time after that class before my last one began so i went and had a late breakfast/early lunch.
I went to my last class and found my new friend there again, turns out she has all the same classes i do-cool! and i met her other new friend. my two new friends are both international students, one from taiwan (or nearby there) and the other from India. i had lunch with the guy from India. then i walked to the mall, since all my classes were done for the day, and picked up the next issues of DNAngel.
i think i'm going like college. not so bad so far anyway.
I miss all my old friends and family, especially you, Starhitz! see you soon (k)

Well under way
it is now Monday, and i have been here since the previous wednesday. Orientation finished Saturday so now it's Welcome Week. Various activities and lectures await all the new students. last night was my dorm's floor meeting. it was quick but not painless. they had strange 'icebreaker' activities that were really anything but. Yesterday it also rained...ALL DAY!there was next to nothinhg to do. it being sunday meant that all the academic buildings were locked so exploring the campus proved futile. instead i tromped the through the light but unpleasant drear in hopes of finding a bookstore-to no avail. i simply do not know my way around this city yet! Hopefully i'll be able to find some friends who are a bit better acquainted with the area who can show me around. Classes begin wednesday and i am thuroughly nervous about that. i have General Chemical Engineering at 8 AM! and not close to my dorm either T__T and 10 minutes after that class lets out, i have Calculus on the other side of campus! I took the afternoon saturday to time the walk between these building and found that i could go from door to door of these two buildings in just under 8 minutes at a comfortable pace.
Hopefully i'll survive. i'll certainly do my best, i have a couple pics i've drawn in my stay here but i'll need to borrow my roommate's scanner. he says i can but i still need to get the software from him. and on that note i return to more Welcome Week events.

   College
It has begun, there's no turning back now, the only path is ahead of me.
I moved into my dorm yesterday in the evening; threw my stuff into my corner of a 3-person room and went to buy sheets of the right length for the oddly sized bed.
Today is part 1 of my orientation since a technical error caused me to be unable to attend my originally scheduled summer orientation. i'm hoping all will go well here, so far so good: I was the first in my room to arrive to i picked the window-bed and stole the nightstand from another bed. why mine didn't have one anyway i'll never know.
sry to my fans (not conceited) for not posting any new pics in FOREVER. i just haven't drawn anything of late worth putting up. maybe now that i'm here i'll be inspired to draw something cool..hopefully. then i'll just need to borrow someone's scanner to post it-meh i bet the lab has one...or twenty...that i could use.
Hey..that's prolly my longest post ever! sry to bore whoever reads this; wish me luck here at college!

Does the pencil make the artist?
I've always hated coloring my pictures because when i use color pencils it looks bad. it's so grainy and uneven and just doesn't look good to me. i recently viewed an artists gallery here whose coloring was phenomenal, extradordinary precision; the pictures were just beatuiful. all save for 1, one which looked strikingly like my own work. their description contained an apology for the poor coloring saying that at the time they didn't have prismacolors.
i was intrigued, i looked up prismacolors on the web and found their homepage. i must say i am impressed, i want to try these 'superpencils' for myself. maybe they're the difference between me and some of the legendary artists on this site?! *visions of grandeur*

   where does the time go?
i know i haven't updated in forever and i'm sry.
i've been very busy with college and g/f; add to that i'm a generally lazy person and there u have it: the reason i haven't updated.
Oh my godz, college is less than a month away! *shits pants* i finally ordered my computer and damn it is expensive! now i just have to get my clothes, books, new pants, etc. and i'll be on my way. i don't know what kind of scanner access i'll have there and i'm sure as hell not buying one-too damn expensive! I'll miss all my friends around here dearly especially my g/f. *cries*
but i'll do my best to keep in touch! wish me luck guys!
also i added two pics tonight, not the best but enjoy them all the same.

   omfg, Sword!
My g/f recently returned from Spain (same time i got back from the lake--yea mine vacation spot wasn't quite as cool as hers...w/e)
she calls me up and tells me she brought back souvenirs for her family and one for me...She wasn't lying, either, when she told me mine was the coolest.
i go to welcome her back to America; tell her she can stop screaming in spanish. and she hands me a pink-wrapped package.
i open it surgically, removing each piece of tape one by one. inside is a blue-sheathed Japanese Tanto sword. so no one dare doubt me when i say she is the coolest girlfriend on the freaking planet!!
i'm so gonna put this on my wall, then get a katana and stick that up there too.
...In your face all you ppl who don't have swords! okay..that's mean of me, but still! it is the coolest thing thing anyone has ever given me *Besides life, mom!*

Vacation
I'm going to the lake for a week now. but first i have to work 12-9 isn't life grand?!

My art is lacking the certain touch it used to have-i'm too hasty and careless nowadays. I need to go back to the basics and spend some real time on details; i'll figure it out at any rate.

HAH! i only have one exam, it's this thursday, and then i'm done with high school forever!
*does the awesomesauce dance*
but i digress, i will miss all my friends when i leave for college. Tony, Perry, Kylie, Maggie.
but most and especially I'll miss starhitz, she's my bijin!
well i ask you all to wish my luck in college this fall ^_^;
i hope to get to drawing some stuff soon; i badly injured my finger (index) so drawing isvery difficult and painful right now. But once i'm healed-!
