He woke up with a gasp; sweat dripping down his body, his unbraided blonde hair sticking everywhere because of the wetness.
His chest heaves as he remembers his dream; her warm hands on his bare chest, his hips thrusting upwards to meet hers, trying to reach that feeling. That feeling he knew wouldn’t come unless he went along with his machine junkie lover’s teasing.
The dreams always ended before anything…serious happened, so he was always left breathing heavily and painfully aroused.
He wished it could be real. He wanted so much to tell her, to hold her, to love her without the constant worry of his enemies finding out how much she means to him.
He sighs, “I guess my dreams are the only place I can really love you, aren’t they?” he says as he falls back on to the mattress, like so many nights before, with only the thought of his childhood friend in his mind.
