Why Should I Cry For You: Kohaku vs Tattoimaru
*episode 2*
“He what?!?”
Kagome hears Inuyasha shout. She is changing into the uniform she lent to Kagura inside Kaede’s house. She stayed outside long enough to gather that Kohaku has done something and that they have to go after him. She then took her clothes from Kagura and went in to change. She can find out the details later, but based on the way Sango and the others were hurrying, time is of the essence. Tying her neckerchief as she goes, Kagome steps outside to join her friends. Sango is telling Inuyasha, “…need you to track his scent. It’s the only way we’ll find him.” Inuyasha says, “Sorry Sango, if Kirara’s flying, there’s no way I can track her.” Kagura says, “We can do what we did before; I’ll summon the wind and you find which current his scent is on.” Inuyasha nods, “Ok, but we’d better get out’a the village. There’re too many scents here.” Inuyasha sets off toward the edge of the village with the others hurrying after him. As they run, Shippo jumps from Miroku’s shoulder to Kagome’s. In a field nearby, Kagura begins to summon air currents, drawing each one to Inuyasha’s sensitive nose. Kagome turns to Sango and asks, “What happened?” Sango says, “It’s my brother, he went to confront Tattoimaru. He took Kirara in the middle of last night.” Miroku says, “He told Shippo, then he used something to put him to sleep; probably the same concoction he used on you.” Sango says, “It’s an herbal paste used to render demons unconscious. He must have learned how to make it in the village.” “Why would he do that?” Kagome asks. “He’s never seemed the type to play the hero.” Sango says, “I have no idea.” There is a moment of silent thought. The monk says, “I have an idea, but I hope I’m wrong.” Comments (5) |

Why Should I Cry For You: Kohaku vs Tattoimaru
*episode 3*
They’re close, I can tell. My nose isn’t as good as Inuyasha’s, but I can still follow a scent. Let me just say, first of all, that this wasn’t my idea. Kohaku thought this up on his own, and I went along for my own reasons. I said I wouldn’t put anyone else in danger, and I’m not. Kohaku can handle that boy on his own. I’ll deal with Kyoubou; and if they’re not alone, we’ll leave. Sango will be upset with me, but it can’t be helped. Those two have to be dealt with before Naraku’s plans can bear fruit. If that boy does what he intends to do, we could be faced with a second Naraku or something even worse. Comments (6) |

Why Should I Cry For You: Kohaku vs Tattoimaru
*episode 1*
It’s the day after Da-ku attacked, and Inuyasha is uncomfortable. Kagome is back on her feet, and seeing her is what’s upsetting him. Aside from all the issues left over from yesterday, there is one thing which is supremely getting on his nerves. Between his blood and burns from the lightning, her uniform is totaled; and Kagura still has her other one. Rather than letting Inuyasha just go back to her home and have her mom give him some clothes, Kagome decided to borrow clothing from Kaede. So she’s sitting outside the old woman’s home, dressed as a priestess, and seemingly oblivious to how it’s making him feel. For one thing, she looks like Kikyo: for another, she looks a whole lot like Da-ku Koneko did after Naraku gave her clothing. Inuyasha, on the other hand, doesn’t even consider the fact that Kagome is shaken as well. He doesn’t see that she is more than a little scared to learn that there is an evil version of herself running around out there; and that she needs all the reassurances she can get that she really has spiritual powers she can use to fight this new foe. Sadly, no relationship has perfect communication; theirs less so than most. Suddenly, a wind picks up carrying a medley of familiar scents. As Inuyasha looks up, he calls, “Kagome, look.” As the two watch, Kagura lands her feather at the edge of the village. The demoness, who is now sporting a new kimono, hurries toward the priestess’ house with Sango, Miroku, and Shippo following. Inuyasha is surprised to see that Kirara and Kohaku seem to not be with them. When they get close enough, the monk shouts, “We have a problem!” Comments (7) |

Kagura asks. Sango says, “It looks nice.” The demoness says, “I’m guessing that it wasn’t Miroku’s first choice.” Sango says, “Actually, it was. He was very reasonable all through out getting it for you.” Kagura asks, “Then how come he still has your handprint on his face.” Shooting an angry glare at the monk she says, “As soon as we were done, he offered to buy me something.” Confused, Kagura says, “Well, that doesn’t seem so bad.” Sango says, “You didn’t see what he wanted to buy me.” Miroku says, “I didn’t want to buy it for you; I just offered to and suggested that you try it on.” Sango snaps, “So you could see me in it!” The monk says, “Sango, Sango; the point of wearing an outfit like that is to be seen in” Smack!!! Not willing to learn from his mistakes, Miroku says, “Sango, if I could have seen you in that, just once, it would make all the pain worthwhile.” Smack!!! After taking several deep breaths, Sango asks, “Kagura, where are the others?” The demoness says, “Kohaku spent the last few days helping Kirara get back on her. Yesterday he told me that he thought she was ready to fly and that they were going to try in the morning. When I got up, they were gone. As for Shippo and the monk, they’re both still asleep.” “That’s odd.” Sango says. She continues, “Kohaku was never one to get up early.” Miroku adds, “Shippo, on the other hand, usually does.” Just then, the afore mentioned fox stagers into the room. He says, yawning, “They’re gone…” He falls on his face. Sango rushes to his side. She picks him up and says, “Who’s gone; Shippo?” The foxling has nodded off; but he pries his eyes open. “Kirara and Kohaku…they left. They’re in danger, they…” Once again succumbing, Shippo falls back into a drug induced sleep.

My fanfic began 100 days ago today. Four people, and you know who you are, have been here from the start. Now, somedays, there are as many as 9 people who read my story. I had been planning to take a vacation, but I’m having too much fun. So enjoy today’s episode and thank you all. Comments (6) |

Dancing In The Dark: Meridian
*episode 6*
Dreams,
Horrible unending nightmares. My will undone; my heart ignored; my mind a mere prisoner within my body. I see horrors and atrocities. I see evil and can do nothing against it. In the midst of these visions, I see an image of true beauty. A glorious form, lovely and kind, ringed in, but never consumed by, a halo of orange flame. Then I see my own blue flame striking out at her; and then she is gone. These visions go on and on; and then I wake up. When I do, I realize that there is no dream. Only this living hell…this perdition…this Naraku. Comments (8) |

Dancing In The Dark: Meridian
*episode 5*
Shippo is sleeping alone in a corner of Mushin’s home. He misses Kagome and in her absence insists on sleeping alone. Suddenly he feels someone picking him up. As he slowly begins to wake up, his first thought is that Kagome is back. As he is carried into the moonlight, he realizes that she smells wrong. A voice says, “Shippo…Shippo…wake up Shippo.” Gradually, he works his eyes open and looks up. He is being held by Kohaku, who is standing next to Kirara, in his armor. Shaking himself awake, Shippo asks, “Kohaku, what’s going on? You’re hurt, you should be in bed.” Kohaku says, “We’ve both healed; and now there’s something we need to do. Shippo, do you remember Tattoimaru?” At the mention of that name, Shippo comes fully awake. The slayer continues, “He’s out there now; waiting for me. I have to go face him. Kirara and I both have to.” Shippo says, “But you’re just a kid. Shouldn’t you leave that to Inuyasha?” Kohaku says, “No Shippo, others can be left to him; but this is one I have to deal with myself. We’re going now. I need you to not tell anyone until tomorrow morning.” Shippo thinks, then he says, “No. I’m going to go tell Kagura, right now.” As the foxling tries to get lose, Kohaku reaches for a bag at his waist. Sticking a finger in, he says, “I thought you would say that.” He brings his finger to Shippo’s nose. As the vapors rising from the green paste on Kohaku’s had reach Shippo’s nose, Kohaku says, “Sleep Shippo.” Shippo tries to call out, but his voice won’t comply. As he loses consciousness, he hears Kohaku say, “Tell my sister, I’m sorry.” Comments (6) |

Dancing In The Dark: Meridian
*episode 3*
Kaede has returned to Kagome and begun the rituals to cast off the sacred magic. Kagome has already done the bulk of the work herself and, with help from the old priestess, she should wake up sometime in the morning. Inuyasha enters the house and sits against a wall. Kaede is focused on her task, but she can clearly tell that the half-demon is agitated, even angry. Having done what she can, Kaede turns to him, “Inuyasha, ye hold yourself accountable for Kagome’s injuries.” Inuyasha says, “No…I mean yes, it’s my fault but…I…it’s not that, it’s…ah just forget it.” Kaede says, “This tired old eye can see that thy anger is directed at thyself and not thine enemies. If not for allowing her to come to harm, why do ye condemn thyself.” Inuyasha looks away and says nothing. Kaede says, “If ye think to conceal thy emotions from thyself, continue as ye are. But I, ye cannot fool so easily. Speak what is in thy heart; I swear that none shall know.” Inuyasha looks everywhere in the room except the old priestess. Finally, he looks at her. He closes his eyes and leans his head back. “It was the same.” he says. “50 years ago, Naraku disguised himself as Kikyo and attacked me; and I fell for it. I never stop to think that it might not’a been her who attacked me. I had no faith in her. Today, Naraku used the same trick. I believed that it was Kagome who was killin me. Kagome trusts me all the time, and I don’t even trust her enough to know that it couldn’t be her.” Kaede says, “Ye knew only what ye saw. There is no crime in trusting thy senses. Aside from that, thy life has hardly been one to inspire great leaps of faith. Kagome will not feel betrayed by thy actions, so why do ye feel ye have betrayed her?” Inuyasha says, “That ain’t the point. I ain’t learned a thing from all Naraku’s tricks. I’m still dumb enough to let him turn me against Kagome.” Seeing that Inuyasha will not listen to reason, Kaede decides to let him be. Without further discussion, she prepares for bed. It being warm, she does not replenish the fire; it dies soon after. Comments (5) |
