Two Hearts: The last of the seven
*episode 7*
Kagome and her friends settle in to they’re seats with their food. The test is finally over and they have gone to McDonald’s to relax. Ayumi says, “Wasn’t that fun?” Kagome, Yuka, and Eri groan. Eri says, “Kagome, you’ve been out a lot lately.” Yuka says, “You’re grandpa said you had to go to a specialist in Kanagawa.” Kagome gives a nervous laugh, “Ya, sure; something like that.” Yuka asks, “So how’s your boyfriend dealing with your being sick; you know, the possessive two-timer?” Eri says, “Ya, has he tried to kill anyone lately?” Yuka says, “I still can’t believe you’re going with someone so violent.” Eri says, “And that other girl of his.” Kagome says, “Look, could you two knock it off?” Yuka says, “Sure, we’ll just shut up and let you be taken advantage of by some tough guy who isn’t even willing to stop seeing his ex.” Kagome says, “He’s not seeing her.” Eri says, “And I suppose he told you that? Kagome, you need to listen to us and just go be Hojo’s girlfriend. Look, this creep is still seeing her, we know it…” Kagome snaps, “He isn’t seeing her, trust me…” Eri asks, “How can you be so sure?!? What makes you think…” Kagome, who has had it up to here with her two friends always assuming the worst about Inuyasha and never letting her finish a sentence when he’s the topic, shouts, “She’s dead, ok!?!” Yuka and Eri have finally shut up. Kagome thinks, “Oh boy…now what?”

Two Hearts: The last of the seven
*episode 6*
“…die Inuyasha.”
Suddenly Inuyasha’s whole body freezes. His muscles begin to go rigid, and with the last of his strength he looks down. An ornate knife is sticking out of his chest; some kind of spell is engraved on the handle. As he stares, the girl rises to her feet. His heart is crushed by wave after wave of raw emotion; not to mention centimeter after centimeter of cold steel. His thoughts are a raging torrent, “How could she…not again…but I thought…this can’t be…Kagome I…help me…I should have…what the…no!!!” None of this is vocalized as his voice is paralyzed along with the rest of him. She reaches out her hand to his chin and tilts his head up so that he gets his first look at her eyes. It is then that he first suspects that things may not be as they appeared. Her eyes are black, from lid to lid. There is no trace of white or brown or any other color. Her entire eye is gleaming black. She puts her hands on his shoulders and knocks him on his back. Standing over him she says, “Weak…pathetic…I can’t believe I ever loved you.” She bends down and gently lays her fingers on the knife’s hilt. “Do you like it?” she asks. “I made it just to kill you with. That spell will hold you immobile and it won’t allow the wound to heal. You’ll bleed to death, eventually.” That said, she grabs the knife and thrusts it deeper into his chest. A voice says, “That’s enough! He hasn’t suffered nearly enough yet.” The speaker, Naraku, steps into Inuyasha’s range of vision. “Hello Inuyasha.” he says. “I intend to savior your demise for quite some time. I suppose there are a few questions you’d like to ask but are understandably unable to. Let me try to answer some of them. First of all, let me tell you that this is not Kagome.” The girl says, “I am Kagome!” Naraku says, “Not yet you’re not.” Turning back to Inuyasha, he says, “Technically, she is one of my incarnations. However, she has an exact replica of Kikyo’s soul. You remember when they clay counterfeit gave me all the shards you had collected, don’t you? Well I saved one, which held an imprint of both Kikyo and Kagome from the moment when the one betrayed the other. Around it, I slowly crafted a body, taking great care to mimic that lovely maiden in every regard. All I needed to bring it to life was your voice.” Naraku turns to the girl, “You need a name.” She says, “I already told you, I’m Kagome; Ka-go-me! You got that?!?” Naraku smirks, “As long as that girl is still alive, you cannot be Kagome.” She says, “Well, in that case, I’ll kill her.” Naraku reaches out and takes her chin in his hand. He says, “I’ll have to teach you patients; among other things. Now, pick a name.” Shaking her head free, she pauses in thought. “Da-ku,” she says, “Da-ku Koneko.” Naraku smiles and turns back to Inuyasha, “Well, Da-ku and I have some things to discuses in privet. I hope you won’t mind waiting, not that you have a choice.” Da-ku rolls her eyes. “That’s not how you deal with his kind; watch. Inuyasha, sit boy.” Already on the ground, Inuyasha is thrust downward by the spell. She says, “Now stay.” Da-ku walks off toward the tree which Kikyo pined Inuyasha to 50 years ago with Naraku fallowing. When she reaches the tree, she turns to face the demon, letting herself recline against the tree. Naraku drops a cloth parcel as he steps toward her. He says, “I brought you clothing which I thought appropriate.” She asks, “You want me to get dressed?” Closing the distance between them, Naraku says, “Not yet. But I don’t want the mutt seeing you like this again. This,” he looks down and back up her body, “belongs to me.” She asks, “What makes you think I’ll have you?” He says, “Because I have power. Where Inuyasha is weak, I am strong. That’s why.” As he reaches out to her, she says, “Good point.” Naraku asks, “Shouldn’t you be asking why I’d be interested in you?” Da-ku smirks and says, “Well that’s obvious. You still have Onigumo’s heart. Above all things, he lusted after Kikyo. I’m her reincarnation.” He bends to kiss her. When they break, he says, “No, you’re better.”

Two Hearts: The last of the seven
*episode 5*
“…Kagome…”
As he says her name, she draws a breath. Encouraged, he says, louder, “Kagome.” Her breathing becomes deep and regular. Stepping forward, he says for a third time, “Kagome!” Then he stops. His demonic nose and ears have picked up the slightest sound and scent. The girl is softly whimpering, and the air is tinted with salt from her tears. Again able to move, Inuyasha rushes to her side. He slips off his outer shirt and places it over her asking, “Kagome, are you all right? What happened to you? Kagome?” Feeling his touch, she asks in a shaken voice, “Inuyasha?” “I’m here.” He says. “Inuyasha.” Suddenly she throws herself onto him, her eyes still clenched with tears. “Inuyasha!” she shouts. For a moment he is shocked, then he wraps his arms around her, capturing hers between them. “I’m here.” He says. “It’s ok Kagome, I’m right here.” “Inuyasha.” she says. Suddenly he feels a sharp pain in his chest. She says, “…die Inuyasha.”

Two Hearts: The last of the seven
*episode 3*
Moon light. It’s so peaceful. Even after all this time I still feel at peace when I lie in the moonlight. Well, I blew it. I let myself feel comfortable and I nearly let it kill me. I should have smelled Naraku on those two; I would have, except that I was to busy getting to know Kyoubou’s rich, intoxicating, masculine scent. Naraku may not have known it, but he found the perfect weapon to use against me. Poor Shippo. I should have been there, I failed him most of all. At least he’s ok; on the outside. Who else did I fail? I let Sango down; she trusts my judgment more than she knows. I also let him down. I should have known that something was wrong when he wouldn’t answer my questions. Then when he tried to warn me, I didn’t listen. Maybe I could have helped him, if I hadn’t been so caught up his good looks. I’m not a kitten, not by a long stretch. This is what happens when a girl goes for centuries without a male of the same species. All it takes is a good smelling tom with a silky black coat and a nice butt, and she melts, right when she’s needed most. No one to blame but myself really. Well, I’m already back on my feet. I’ll be flying in a day or two. I think I’ll keep the scar as a reminder. We should be meeting him again; he is serving Naraku. Maybe I’ll get a chance to free him, or at least end his pain. However not at the risk of my companions lives. I feel sorry for him; he was a nice guy, that wasn’t fake. But never again will I allow myself endanger others for the sake of a male.

Two Hearts: The last of the seven
*episode 4*
Inuyasha is sitting in Kaede’s hut, imagining her body displayed, in pieces across a table. He really doesn’t hate the old woman; he hates waiting. That is exactly what he’s been doing for nearly a whole day. It is the promised afternoon, and Kagome is nowhere to be seen. He doesn’t even have Shippo with him to keep him company. Finally, about three hours after noon, he picks up her scent, and by the smell of it she stopped to pick fruit. He leaps up and heads into the forest which bears his name. Strangely, the smell of fruit is stronger then it should be. What, did she bring an orchard? He reaches the clearing around the well, and realizes that something is amiss. There is a new tree, beside the well, it is taller then the surrounding trees and has a huge flower bud on one side. Actually, huge doesn’t begin to cover it. The pod is two meters, stem to tip, and the entire tree leans under its weight. The result is that the pod is less than one meter off the ground. As the half-demon approaches, the bud blooms. As the rich smells of Kagome and peaches crash against Inuyasha delicate nose, he sees a sight which leaves him breathless. The flower is immense and pink; nestled in the center, curled into a ball, is a girl. She is completely naked and does not seem to be breathing. For a moment, he is too stunned to react, but then Inuyasha whispers, “…Kagome…”

Two Hearts: The last of the seven
*episode 1*
Kagome has been in the feudal era for a considerable amount of time. Except for one night, on the night of the full moon, she hasn’t been home since Naraku sent his thunder/horse/demon. She has a test to take, so Inuyasha takes her on his back and carries her toward Kaede’s village. Meanwhile, Kagura is having a slight garment problem. Miroku sets out to a nearby crossroads village where he is likely to find a merchant who deals in good silks. Sango is accompanying him, to make sure that he buys according to Kagura’s expectations; not his own lecherous desires. Meanwhile, Kohaku, Kirara, and Kagura remain at the home of the old monk, awaiting the other’s return. The demoness is sitting, still wearing Kagome’s spare school outfit, when Kohaku comes and sits beside her. He says, “Kagome told us how your clothing was damaged. What were you thinking; throwing yourself in between Inuyasha and that swordsman? You could have been killed.” She says, “He had used that attack before. The first time, it only knocked Inuyasha off his feet. It was only meant as a setup for a second attack. I knew that if he made that attack, Inuyasha would die. So, I bought him the time he needed to react. The attack wasn’t going to kill me, and as long as Inuyasha did something, there wouldn’t be a second attack. It all worked out in the end.” Kohaku says, “It did; but still, you should be more careful. I don’t want you to get hurt.” Kagura smiles and takes his hand. “I’m ok,” she says, “and we won that battle. I’m a big strong demon; I can take care of myself.” Kohaku says, “You can, but you can also let others take care of you. You have friends; don’t forget that.” She nods.

Two Hearts: The last of the seven
*episode 2*
Kagome and Inuyasha emerge from the well. There is a note, taped to the inside of the well house door. Kagome looks at it then frowns. She tells Inuyasha, “Look, you’re going to have to go back. Sota’s friend Satoru is spending the night with us. He’ll be here all evening and they’ll go to school together tomorrow. He doesn’t remember you, and it would be best to not have to explain. I’m sorry, please go wait in the feudal era, and I’ll meet you there tomorrow afternoon. Ok?” Reluctantly, Inuyasha nods and jumps back through the well. Kagome heads inside. Sota and Satoru are in the living room, playing videogames. As she comes in, the guest says, “Hello, Miss. Kagome. Sota has been telling me about you and your boyfriend.” Nervous, Kagome says, “Has he? Well…would you excuse us for a moment?” She grabs Sota by the shoulder and yanks him out of the room. At the same time whispering and screaming, she asks, “Are you nuts?!? Mom had me send Inuyasha back through the well just so he wouldn’t know about him. Now you just tell him?!?” Sota says, “Calm down sis. I told him about Inuyasha, but I left out the weird parts. As far as Satoru knows, he’s just an ordinary human. When he asked abut something I couldn’t talk about, I made stuff up which fit. It would be weirder if I tried to tell him you didn’t have a boyfriend.” Kagome thinks then she reluctantly accepts.

No Surrender: Tragic swordsman, Yuukanmaru
*episode 12*
When Inuyasha, Kagome, Miroku and Kagura arrive at Mushin’s home, the others come out to greet them. Kohaku seems to be back on his feet, and he is carrying Kirara. When he sees Kagura, still dressed in Kagome’s school uniform, his face assumes a puzzled expression. After a moments thought, he decides that, while he would need time, he could get use to seeing her wearing it; and besides, he’s glad to see her back safely. Sango is standing with her hands on her hips, and she doesn’t look at anyone besides the monk. As soon as they land, she grabs him and drags him around to the other side of the shrine. The others send somber parting glances after him. When they are out of sight, the others hear, “What were you thinking! *whack* Going off on your own when your windtunnel is broken!?! *smash* With Naraku spitting out new incarnations! *slam* You could have been killed!!! *crash* We were all worried! *wham* Now you come back with new bruises! *pow* Not to mention…” Turning from the racket, Inuyasha looks to Kagome and begins to wonder if being told “sit” isn’t so bad.

No Surrender: Tragic swordsman, Yuukanmaru
*episode 13*
Tattoimaru sits outside of a chamber in Naraku’s cave. It is the one place he is not allowed to go. Of course, he knows what is inside, but he is kept away for other reasons. Naraku emerges, sealing the room behind him with a barrier. His son asks, “Is it ripe?” Naraku makes a yummy sound and says, “And juicy.” The boy makes a disgusted face. Naraku laughs, “Fear not, you’ll grow into it; most boys do. Did you want something?” Tattoimaru says, “Your samurai is dead.” Naraku says, “I know. He was only good for one use anyway. He gave me an opportunity to savor futility, and besides that, he made Inuyasha’s bitch get her soft, delicate hands dirty. Until now, she has never had to slay anything that is not entirely evil. All in all, I believe it was well worth the jewel shard; which I’ll have back eventually. Anyway, my little peach will be ready soon. Then we may finally be rid of Inuyasha.”
