  Awhile back, some of you asked who I thought Inuyasha would chose. The way I see it, Kikyo and Kagome isn’t an either or matter. Inuyasha isn’t in love with either of them. His soul is in love with their soul. It’s a given that he won’t be able to live with Kagome as long as Kikyo still wanders the earth. However, I think that he also won’t be able to die with Kikyo as long as Kagome is alive. In the episode early in the show, "Kagome’s voice and Kikyo’s kiss", Inuyasha tries to die with Kikyo, but Kagome calls him back. Neither one of the girls has the entire soul, so Inuyasha can’t be happy with either of them. As a result, Kikyo will eventually realize that Inuyasha won’t go with her and then she will have a choice. She can either kill Kagome and take the rest of her soul, or she can agree to be reabsorbed by Kagome. Kagome would never hurt Kikyo, and she would certainly turn her back to her, so the choice isn’t in Inuyasha or Kagome’s hands. Kikyo will have to choose weather she wants to live with Inuyasha as a part of Kagome, or die with him as herself. Ok, I’m done ranting.
