Winds of Change: For a Friend
*episode 5*

Kagura stands before Sesshomaru. The demon lord holds her heart in his hand, contemplating its depths. “So now you are my master?” she says, resigned to the inevitable. “I cannot cage the wind, nor would I if I could.” he says. “Here.” he says holding out the gem. “Take it. Now hold it above your chest.” In a lightning motion, he draws the Tenseiga and impales her hand, the jewel, and her bosom. Kagura looks down in shock. Sesshomaru pulls the sword free and sheaths it. Kagura clutches the hole in her kimono, not to cover herself, but rather to feel her breast. “My heart!” she says. “Yes.” He says. “I’m free?” she asks. “Yes.” He says. “But why did you…” she asks. Stepping towards her, he cuts her off, “So I could do this.” He wraps his arm around her and gently, yet firmly pulls her face to his. Kagura is too shocked to do anything as their lips come together. She is frightened, nervous, her whole body is rigid. Sensing this, Sesshomaru begins to pull back. At this cue, Kagura melts into his embrace, drawing his lips back to hers. Her arms envelop him drawing him closer. The kiss goes on and on, neither one willing to let it end. At last, their lips part although their bodies do not. “You are the wind,” he says, “and the wind doesn’t stay.” Reluctantly, he steps away. They part, separated by the winds of fate.
