Bullet The Blue Sky: Tattoimaru’s weapon
*episode 4*
As Kagome, Inuyasha, Kohaku, Shippo, and Kagura all ride on Kagura’s overcrowded feather, Kagome assures them that their objective is near at hand. “I think they’ve stopped moving.” she says. “At this rate we should over take them any minute now.” Almost as a punctuation to that sentence, a blinding light erupts from the direction in which they are heading. As Kagura struggles to regain her vision while still controlling the feather, Inuyasha says, “Somethin tells me that that ain’t Koga.” As Kagura speeds their approach, a series of subsequent lesser bursts occur. Finally, they see smoke rising from a crater that might once have been a village. As they close the last meters and land, several buildings far from the epicenter disappear in flashes of light. At the edge of the blast, there are bodies burned beyond recognition; but as the head further in, there cease to be any traces left of the slaughter. A cloud of dust has risen and their view is obstructed. Inuyasha says, “I know that scent.” Kagura raises her fans and a strong breeze sweeps the dust away revealing two forms unharmed by this holocaust. Satisfied that his nose still works, but disgusted at the fact that he was right; Inuyasha says, “Tattoimaru.”
