Shape Of My Heart: Shippo’s fate
*episode 6*
Thunk
In the months since he acquired the sword, Sesshomaru has become accustom to the sound and feel of it. He knows exactly what to expect when he thrusts it into the body of a mortal…that isn’t it. He realizes this in the instant before his eyes catch up with what has happened. His sword never reached the boy. Instead, it was stopped by a black object which seemed to appear out of thin air. Before the demon has a moment to ponder this, the boy swings his hammer around; dislodging the sword. This done, the object breaks into a thousand pieces; each of which fly away. Stepping back, the demon takes a moment to ponder this; before deciding to simply ask. He says, “Boy, have you any idea why those creatures protected you?” Tattoimaru says, “Because I told them to.” “In that case,” Sesshomaru says, “you must have some connection to Naraku. I will therefore spare your life so that you may lead me to him.” Tattoimaru says, “You talk as if you’ve won this fight. You have to beat me before you can offer me my life.” The demon sighs, showing his distain for dawdling over such trivialities. Resigned to having to play along, Sesshomaru unleashes a series of attacks on the boy. However, each blow is met by a wall of insects. Thousands of Saimyoushou die on Sesshomaru’s blade; but many more swarm to the boy who is simply standing there, looking amused.
