Shape Of My Heart: Shippo’s fate
*episode 10*

Inuyasha leaps forth from the well, carrying Kagome in his arms. But by the time they get there, it’s too late. Shippo is rapidly disappearing into a cloud of Saimyoushou in the hands of none other than Tattoimaru. Before Inuyasha can react, the swarm is moving away from them and toward the village. Without putting her down, Inuyasha rushes after it. It moves over the village, and starts to pull ahead of them. Just in time, Kagome sees Koga. “Koga!” she calls. “Follow that cloud; and leave a trail!” “What…” he asks. “No time for questions.” she tells him. After a moment’s thought, the wolf dashes off after the bugs. Kagome and Inuyasha hurry to gather the others. Setting off in flight, the group begins to follow the path of damaged vegetation left by the wolf’s passing. But before they can get out of sight of the village, a purple streak tares through their midst. Standing on a hill before them, is a priestess with a black skirt, Kagome’s face, and obsidian eyes. Inuyasha calls, “So, Naraku sent you to stall us!” Spiting out the name, Da-ku says, “Naraku cast me aside; I will kill him as soon as I deal with her!” She is pointing at Kagome. Kagome drops off Kirara’s back and says, “All of you, go after Shippo. Let Kirara stay with me.” Inuyasha steps forward and says, “I’ll stay. Get goin!” Hesitantly the others do as they’re told.
