Inuyasha, his legs still badly damaged, crawls to Mesu. When he gets to her, he cradles her nearly severed head to his chest and howls. His tears come freely; and he ignores his brother who still stands over her. Sesshomaru, however, has no intention of politely letting his brother greave. He says, “So, little brother, for once you shed tears for one who is worthy of them. How many feeble humans have you given your tears to? How many times have you cried for that worthless mother of yours? Wipe your eyes and look upon this female; hers is a life to be missed.
