Inside the author’s head
*episode 2*

Mish is sitting in a small room with a couch and a chair. She’s on the chair; she has a small notebook in which she’ll make occasional notes. On the couch are Inuyasha and Kagome. He has his arm around her shoulder; but she’s the one who is truly out of character. Mish comments on this, “So Kagome, I see you’re not wearing the uniform.” She is, in fact, wearing jeans and a tee-shirt. Kagome says, “That thing? Not for 5 minutes longer than I have to. I hate that skirt.” Inuyasha says, “You look good in it.” Kagome elbows him in the ribs. Mish says, “Inuyasha, you seem more forward than I expected with Kagome; what’s up with that?” Kagome answer for him, “He’s really not as awkward or as slow moving as he is in the story; but it’s funny so we keep doing it.” Mish says, “What about Koga and Kikyo?” Inuyasha says, “Kikyo’s a nice girl; but that’s not really anything between us. As for Koga…” He and Kagome begin to laugh. Mish says, “I seem to be being left out of the joke.” Kagome says, “Koga’s gay.” Mish is slack jawed for a moment; then she says, “But what about all the time he spends pursuing you?” Kagome says, “It’s called acting. You’re used to seeing us in character; here you’re seeing us when we’re not on the job.” Mish asks, “So it’s all an act?” Inuyasha says, “No, of course not. I have a lot in common with the guy in the fanfics; but I’m different too.” Mish asks, “So with these other yous and the rivals not being an issue; what is you’re relationship?” Kagome says, “He’s my boyfriend.” Inuyasha says, “She’s my girlfriend. We don’t keep it secret. But hey, it’s funny to see us fumbling around in the story; so we keep at it.” Mish says, “Ok, I think that’s enough. Thanks a lot.” “No problem.” Kagome says. The two get up and walk out.
