   BUUUUYAAAHHH!!!!!
WHEE!! I can fly, I really can ^^
more will be explained in the post ^^

time: 10.05-10.53 am CET
mood: stormy *grins*
physical condition: just fine today ^^
manga: I just finished on Battle Vixens 2 and I plan to start Battle Club volume one later today or this weekend ^^ (they're from the same creator w00t for exploding clothes and massive fighting scenes)
song: I Am-Train or at least, I think it's called I Am..
weather: sunny, bright, nice breeze: calm after the storm

gotta go let my cat back inside, gimme a sec ^^

ok, I'm all set, lets get on with the post ^^

yesterday, we had the heaviest storm since october 2002 in the Netherlands.. and I LOVED it!!!
I had so much fun hehe ^^
mostly it was about watching people almost getting blown over tee-hee ^^

well, let me start at the beginning of my day.. I had trouble waking up, but eventually I dragged myself out of bed and got ready to go to the bus. at that time it was a bit windy and it was raining, not too bad.
I got to the bus, still half sleeping and pretty much soaked, though I would learn later that day that that morning was nothing..
right, so in the bus, I fell asleep again. I usually can't sleep in busses no matter what, so this should show how damn tired I was.
but I didn't really notice that I was falling asleep.. so you can imagine my surprise when at the endstop, I was tapped on my shoulder and vaguely heard a voice telling me to wake up..
turns out it was the busdriver and everyone had gotten off the bus already >_< D'oh!
ow well, I should be happy he woke me up hehe ^^
got into the subway, nothing special happened there.. got to school, with a bit of trouble.

let me explain ^^
the school is in Rotterdam.
it's next to a piece of pretty much open water (part of a harbor if I'm not mistaken) and all the buildings are HUGE! I'm not kidding, they're high (for Dutch standards that is...)
so the street you have to cross to get from the subwaystation to the school is in the middle of these huge buildings and points directly towards that piece of water. three guesses where the wind goes to...
exactly, right into your face. I have to say, it's breathtaking. litterally.
but it's fun ^^ I got into the school without much harm. only had to stop once in order not to be blown right back to the subwaystation..

inside the school was where things truly became fun ^^ cause well, it's always more fun to see other people struggling with the wind ^^
especially when two of my projectgroup members came, one of them almost got blown over, was holding on very tightly to the other, who was in turn holding on to a metal fence thingy ^^ and both were laughing their asses off hehe ^^
anywho, inside the building we didn't have much trouble with the wind. just the occasional shakings and sounds of a storm brewing outside. also, it was actually a very lovely sight to see the waves and the water coming up in the harbor ^^
we finished up the project so YAY!! didn't take too much effort, if you don't count the complete absense of a working colorprinter in the school *sighs* eventually, we got things working with some help from the Servicedesk and that immediately caused a lot of people to ask us how we did it *laughs* gotta love project-deadline-day ^^

but then came the even more fun part ^^
we had to hand in our documents in the other building further down the street *grins*
the part you have to walk from the main building to that building is an extend of the road from the Erasmusbridge, so loads of wind comes down there ^^ and we were lucky enough that we didn't have to go against the wind, but along with it WHEEEEE!!!!
running is fun, especially when you can't stop anymore and you actually have to lean back to not fall over ^^
but it made me think, maybe Douglas Adams is right and the knack to flying is indeed falling and then failing to hit the ground..(Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy reference, read it already you guys!!) would've tried it out if I wasn't scared to hit my face on the pavement *laughs*
me and Ben were having the best time of our lives, Carola (another classmate) however, kept looking very much like death was right behind us.. even though she kept denying that she was scared hehe.

after handing in our stuff, it was time to get to the subway again and this was even more fun ^^
about ten feet with one skip and the feeling that you could get blown away any second ^^ gotta love it ne? so I was skipping while Carola was yelling at me to be careful ^^
I decided to go a bit slower when I noticed her having trouble staying upright ^^
now, the subway I have to take in order to get to my bus (or school, in the opposite direction) goes above the ground for most of the way *huge grin* so we were already swaying and stuff while the thing was driving.. and then, someone pulled open a window *laughs* it sounded like the subway was going to explode or something and everyone was yelling while I was laughing my ass off hehe ^^

the busride home was quiet, if you don't count the freaking bus breaking down a few miles before my stop!!
what happened? I'm not exactly sure, but just when we got off of the freeway, the door popped open and wouldn't close anymore.. and when the door's open, them freakin' busses can't drive anymore!!
we were lucky enough that there was a tourbus just passing by at that moment and the driver decided to take us to the main busstation in my town from where we could find our way home. so all the people from the bus had to step into another bus in the middle of the road, while the line of cars behind the two busses was getting bigger and bigger..
at the busstation, it turned out that the only bus that would pass my stop wouldn't be coming for the next fifty minutes, so I decided to walk home.. FUN!! (that one's sarcasm) by that time, the storm was getting worse, rain hurts when it's blown into your face with about 60 miles an hour..
I hid in a nearby mall for a few minutes to call my mom and ask her to look up a dry, well, everything for me and explain the situation.
by the time I got home, the only thing that seemed left dry was my underwear, I don't think I've ever been that wet in my life (no pervy thoughts!!! *glares at Silver*)
so I took a nice warm shower and got into some comfy warm clothes ^^ that made me feel a lot better ^^

but it's not all fun and games with storms like this.. locally, nothing really bad happened, our backyard fence is totalled, but we needed a new one anyway if you ask me.. some cars were wrecked by trees and that's pretty much it for our town..
but there was some slightly more shocking news:

that's one of the buildings of the university my brother goes to. he was supposed to have a class in one of the rooms just behind where the crane has fallen.. at least three people were brought to the hospital, at least six were injured.. don't worry, my bro was lucky enough not to be in that building at the time. they got an email that they had to go to the other building (the one where the picture is taken from) and he could actually see this scene from his classroom..

a lot more buildings were damaged due to the storm and from about 5pm all train traffic was stopped, so a lot of people were stranded in trainstations.. thank goodness there were some facilities and emergency beds could be put up in most stations.
that's it for my storm report..

this night, I couldn't sleep.. it was actually so bad that I decided to do my homework O_o
well, at least I'm done with that now, so I can relax all weekend ^^
Silver-sama will come to my place this afternoon and we're going shopping as said YAY ^^
I can't wait, but first.. I need a nap, I haven't slept nearly enough tonight.. stinky sleeping pills only work when I take two at once *sigh* ow well ^^

have a wonderful weekend everyone ^^ I don't suppose I'll be around much, since I will be with Silver-sama until sunday ^^
oh, and just a quick shout-out to my good friend Cati0vz who is having her 17th birthday today ^^ congrats sweetie and I promise to post the present today, really!!!

I'm outta here, much clown love ^^
