Hmmmmmmmmmmmm
I'm in an odd mood. And saying that feels like an understatement. Hmmm.
*sigh* I've been practicing guitar lately. *shakes head* Don't worry, I'm not good or anything. That's why I always say "practicing" instead of "playing" because I can plunk and twank pretty well, but not play.
Vegas. So fast. *sigh*
Doesn't it seem like everything goes too fast.
I hate being a girl. I hate being this emotional about stuff. I want to be a guy, emotionally stunted, not prone to this type of thinking.
Okay - i know that's not true for all guys, or even most guys. Let's just say ... maybe that kind of person has an easier time of it.
Ahhhhg. Trying to be .... entertaining. Trying to be ... uh, happy for a second.
Oh I know. I watched Dirty Dancing Havana Nights last night. Let me say this. Diego Luna Diego Luna Diego Luna. Yummy.
*sigh* I can't pull it off.
Blah. Now I'm being cryptic, aren't I? Duhhhhhh. *squints* I need to go put my contacts in and get my day started.
Packing and planning and writing some poems maybe. I'm such a strange girl, I haven't written a poem in like a month, and I feel like I haven't written in ten years. That's how big poetry is in me. ahahahha. Strange.
okay. time to go. bye bye

Over Sleeping Is Fun .... I think.
Well. Today I way overslept. Meaning I woke up at like 10:30 instead of 7:30. I feel very lazy. But also sore, because I worked really hard last night, cleaning and stuff at Baskin Robbins. *moves arms and head* *groans* Yeah. Sleep didn't rememdy that.
So, this new Private Messaging. How cool is that. This only adds to my amazement at this site. It is great.
I'm going to try pm'img some people today. I had two already when I woke up. Cool. I feel loved.
Although I don't have anything I feel I need to say in private, so ... oh well. I'll do it anyway.
I feel like crap. Basically just physically, I'm not depressed or anything. But Crap is still Crap. I'm going to rent a movie tonight and pig out on ice cream or something with my best friend. That should make me feel better. I hope.
^_________________________^
Huh. That looks like a frog. My arms are so sore. I can't type anymore. Uhg.
Okay. Time to visit you wonderful beings.

Oooohhhh. *singing* I'm going to Yawn - Yes, I'm gonna yawn. Yawn Yawn Yawn Yawn Yawn Yawn *yawn* There.
Anyway.
Uh. I don't know why I started like that.
But, guess what?! I'm going to vegas in 5 days! Yipee!
Some people might ask me why? Well, it's because of this really good thing called vacation.
I want to lounge in the pool, see all the hotels, eat good food, ride some rides, and shop. *all with my 100 dollars I get to spend -_-*
I can't wait. ^_^ !
So. I got a very enthusiastic response to the scene last time. Thanks everyone who commented. I'm glad this story is breaking good ground. But it will only get better. Hopefully I'll have another installment before Vegas time consumes a week of my boring existence.
Ummmm... that's about all for now. *searches brain* Yep. Nothing else going on. . . .
wow! I totally spaced out for like 33 seconds. Okay. I'm going now.
BYE EVERYONE ONE !

Chapter 2 - Beginning
Chapter 2
Fee struggled to pull herself out of the mess she had fallen into. “Excuse me, sir,” she said between tightly clenched teeth, “We must have fallen off course.”
“We have fallen into a dirty pond.” Rusty observed, dodging Fee’s deadly glare. He helped Melek up, and they both climbed out of the mud. Lately, a lot of strange things had been happening. Rusty found that oddly coincidental, but he became distracted before any coherent thoughts could run their course. The man who had made the odd exclamation took two cautious steps forward and caught Fee’s arm.
“Now, don’t you try anything, you.” He gripped her hard and tugged her away from the pool. “The signs should have warned you, they must have, but you witches don’t pay attention much, I’ve heard.”
“Is he calling her a witch?” Melek asked Rusty as they both drew closer to the man. Mel cocked his head, curious as to why this farmer would call his sister something so absurd. “Fee... a witch,” he mumbled to himself.
Fee was almost too appalled to take action, almost but not quite. “Excuse me!” She pulled her arm away while wiping the mud from her face. “I do believe that is quite inappropriate,” she backed up next to her brother and Rusty.
“You don’t try nothing. I saw just now, and I won’t fall for no tricks.” The man actually seemed afraid, but of what, Fee had no idea. She looked at him more closely. He obviously hadn’t taken a bath recently, and his clothes were mismatched. He wore a hanging and worn pair of trousers, a poorly made cotton shirt, and he carried in one hand what looked to be some sort of farming tool. All in all, he was a total vagabond, and Fee would have none of his ignorant rantings.
“I’m sorry, sir. I have no business with you. We will move along now, thank you.” Even when she was dreadfully angry, Fee’s cordial side shined.
“Oh no, I’ve got to keep you in my sites. The signs are all wrong today for me, and I won’t be returning to work missing a hand or foot.” The farmer only seemed to become more frightened the longer he stood looking at the three children.
“What signs?” Rusty asked. He felt that the word had a peculiar meaning for this man, and Fee was never one to notice peculiarities.
“Rusty!” Fee scolded him but stood protectively in front of both of her charges, ready for anything.
The vagabond stared ever harder. Rusty repeated his question. “Signs ...” the man’s eyes were wild, his mouth trying to form the rest of the sentence. After a long pause, he finally shook his head, “You didn’t see the signs?” He asked quickly.
“Of course not, there were no signs.” Fee kept hold of herself enough not to tremble at his very frightened tone.
“But . . . but ... but . . . you must have! There are signs everywhere!” He was almost hysterical now.
“We didn’t see any signs!” Melek shouted. He didn’t like losing his temper, but this dirty farmer kept repeating himself, and that wasn’t getting him anywhere. Fee was scared, he could tell, and Rusty must have been too, but Melek would not let any stupid man frighten him. “Fee, let’s just go find Mum and Daddy, okay?”
“Mel ...” Fee started, but caught her breath a she finally took a good look at her surroundings. “Mel,” she whispered, staring out at the vast brown fields just beyond the small grove of trees, for the ocean was no where in site, “I don’t think that’s possible.”
So, that's that. Not so long today now is it?
Even in the chance of repetion, I'll say this again. Please leave, questions, comments, concerns or just one of these " ^_^ " . or these for that matter " -_- "
So, there it is.
Thank You all.
Bye

Soooooooooo.
Guess what? My chat box will never no longer ever be in my introduction. So, follow it around as it jumps about my posts, will you?
That's about it.
Oh, and *makes groaning noises* sometimes I really really hate being a girl.
I'm sure most of you females of a certain age will agree, won't you? yeah. *more groaning noises*
One more tid bit! More story tomorrow! That's right.
People seem to like this one. I'm excited. I like it too. But a ton more planning has gone into the plot as well - compared to usual.
so .... here's some spoilers! Highlight to read... or not, depending.
This Story is about a war between the Unicorn nation and the Humans. (The unicorns are NOT what you picture - not white with hairy chins) And the three children will be the deciding factor in who will conquer over who.
Plus ! One of them dies! AHHH!
Okay. Enough for today. See you tomorrow.

Adam is the nicest guy ever ever ever!
Okay. I know yesterday seemed crazy, because I had multiple crazy posts. Well, the fact is that my profile (on the backroom) would not load. I couldn't change it, couldn't type anything, the only thing that was loading was the intro box, and that was empty, but there was type below it. *Anyway, confused? Well, so was I.
Right so. ADAM FIXED IT FOR ME!
*whispers* Thank you forever Adam!*
*whew* Obviously I'm not a computer whiz, I was probably freaking out more than neccesary, but ... oh well... it's great now and everything will be all right. *lol* pathetic right?
Oh - and thanks you all for the compliments on the new colors! I'm glad this one is popular. My avatar is as close to my net persona "maarii" as I've ever seen it. Coolness.
Soo. See you all around, and just pretend that I didn't post yesterday. At all. ever. Thanks.
^_____^ *hehehehe*

Here's The End of Chapter 1
Fee took two deep breaths and let them out slowly. Fear would get her nowhere, she knew that, so she had to take control of the situation. Logically, the dirt path they were following had to eventually lead somewhere. The island was only so big or only so wide, and in only so many steps would lead her to the safety of her parent’s arms. Adults were sometimes annoying but at least they were big and protective.
Rusty, always observing his situation, noticed that up ahead the path forked. There was a swift turn to the left that seemed to lead straight into the thick of the swamp, but the path to the right was gently curving and seemed to clear up just ahead. Rusty thought about the frog. What an interesting animal, and it had come from the left, as far as he could surmise. More frogs must live that way, of course, because no animal likes to be lonely. “RUSTY!” Melek shouted. “Come on, boy, come on, we’re still moving.” Rusty picked up his feet and followed his friend.
Fee stood in front of the diverging path furrowing her eyebrows in despair. Why did it have to be like this? Why did things always become complicated? Why Why Why? She sighed, a bit dramatically maybe, but she didn’t care just then. “Fee, let’s go left.” Rusty said from behind her.
“Why?”
Rusty stared blankly to the left. “The toad,” he blinked twice and pointed into the swamp.
“Yeah, Fee, I like that one better.” Melek gazed longingly into the dangerous looking swamp.
“We’re going right. Now come on!” Fee started stubbornly on the path of her choosing. “Don’t just stand there,” she said without turning around, “we have to find Mother and Father before it gets dark.”
Now, the cave was definitely not something Mel had predicted, but he was giddy all the same. Deep, dark, and absolutely frightening caves were this little boy's dream come true. “Oh Fee, Fee, this is great! I’m so glad we went this way.” Melek almost danced into the towering, broken entrance.
Fee literally felt herself grow a week older in a matter of micro-seconds. “Well, don’t try anything fishy, Melek. Hold on to me the whole time.” She locked her arms around the boys’ shoulders, desperately clinging to the lasts threads of her strength.
For a few minutes the trek through the cavernous rock didn’t seem so bad. Yes, Fee did not remember seeing the giant mound of rock until they stood before it, and yes, she realized that young women had no business being in caves, but none-the-less, she kept walking. Light still bounced around off the walls, and as long as she could see, she could walk with her head held high.
A very gooey squishy sound brought everyone’s attention to Rusty. With one foot planted firmly in a pile of something totally disgusting and slimy, the little boy looked back at his two friends and shrugged. “I think we aught to go back.” He said staring at his foot.
“Come on Rusty, a little goo never hurt anyone.” Although Fee cringed at the very thought of that same goo attached to her person, she yanked Rusty onward into the cave.
Then, the light was gone, not in some nice, gradual way like it should have been, but as if the giant light switch on the sun had been flicked casually to “OFF.” All three children huddled together in the darkness. Melek sniffed at the air; Rusty listened; Fee bit her tongue to keep from screeching. Slowly, the trio moved forward, Fee inevitably in the lead. Her fear turned into a kind of irrational rage, she stumbled faster and faster ahead, dragging the boys behind.
Rusty could hear a faint fluttering somewhere in the distance. At first he became distracted by Fee’s jerking motions and ignored the odd noise, but then, he could feel the rush of air and recognized the sounds of thousands upon thousands of tiny wing beats just before the swarm of bats was upon them. Fee couldn’t hold her tongue, and she screamed wildly, flailing her arms about her head to keep away the nasty little beasts. Rusty crouched on the ground, covering his head with his arms, while Melek, mouth agape, stared into the onslaught.
After the hoard of animals had flown away, Fee stood trembling. She took a deep breath, stood up straight and immediately lost her footing. Before she could get up, she found herself slipping and sliding down a muddy tunnel, her elbows and behind thunking painfully on the uneven rock. A gray light caught her eye, and she watched it nervously for a moment. Then she was flung into the air, landing with a great plop into a large mucky pool. Only seconds later, she heard Melek’s airy laughter, and he came shooting out of the tunnel plopping down beside her in the gunky water. After him, Rusty wasn’t far behind.
What caught all of their attentions was the startled exclamation of a man, standing just beyond the edge of the water. “By the broken windowsill,” the man proclaimed, “I knew I shouldn’t have come out today! And look here, now I’ve gone and captured myself a witch!”
--------------
I never realized until a couple days ago that rustym and RUSTY of my story share the same name. Cool.
Hope you like it. Give me your thoughts, or at least just read it. And if you need catchingup, well, go read in the archives.
