Reading Is Fun
That's quite the understatement actually.
Last night I finished Polgara the Sorceress by David Eddings.
Wow.What a good book. Really kind of depressing in the first third or half, because the main character (Polgara) has an expanded lifetime, she is 3000 some odd years by the end of the book. So she sees all her loved ones die, except her dad and "uncles" .
Eventually she finds happiness though.

Eddings is just a genius. His Belgariad and Mallorean series had me drooling and screaming and totally oblivious to the real world. If you have never read a book by David Eddings, (and you like fantasy) than Pawn of Prophecy will delight you. Plus the other four books, and then the next five. They are all about 300 pages a piece, some longer. But all well well worth it.

Enough promotional stuff about Eddings.

I think I'm going to get carpal tunnel from working at baskin robbins. Scooping the "perfect scoop" just is not as easy as it looks. ( ^_^ hehehe)

um. Anything else? ..... *searching brain* Oh, Thank you Liam, Atlen, Rusty, Blackwings, and Nikorasu for almost religiously commenting on my posts. And for being great friends.

I know this is just the internet, but this community of people really cares about each other.
Now I'm off to visit some people's sites. Sorry I didn't get to it yesterday.

Just Thinking
I realized I haven't really done a serious post ....... I wonder in how long.
I think I'm just afraid of people thinking about what I say.
(But I want to be a writer - ironic neh? -
Then again

I used to think that I knew what I wanted to do. But I've doubted myself to no end.
Really, I'm not a good writer (at least for my own standards)
I'm really an even worse poet.
That kinda hurts to say that, because poetry is such a big part of me.
I guess though, that you can Be a poet without being good at poetry.

I used to wish all the time.
Wish about love. Wish about happiness. Wish about fame, fortune, beauty, magic.
(You know - the usual)
Lately, I don't even know what to wish for anymore.
Except that I don't want to grow up anymore. I don't want to be eighteen. I want time to swallow me up again and drag me back three years.
And even though they were years with more than their share of sadness and lonliness. I'd live them again.
Just so I could. Just so I could have moments again. Freedom and Beauty bouncing around in front of my eyes, and all I had to do was watch.

Now a days - I have a job, new puppies, college planning, and all these responsibilities. And yet, it all comes with this inevitable lonliness.

All I'm talking about is that life is so hard. And I'm being SO pathetic about it.

Hhahahaha............. sigh.

Well, can't end a post without a random google image, now can we?

Life Goes On NOw...........
*YAWN*
Oh boy, another day. Supposedly I start training at Baskin Robbins today, wooopy fun fun.
(Not Really. I don't want a job, but I need one).

I"m going to Las Vegas at the end of July. That will be a very pleasent break.
I have to finish my novel this summer though. Uhg. I'm on like page 327 or something (but that is handwritten so it's obviously much less)
I have to go buy Crime and Punishment for a summer assignment in my Literature class.
I need to pick a college I want to go to.

I hope I get a summer "fling" this summer. I've never even KISSED a guy, and I'm freakin' 17 years old!
URK.
How annoying.
How despairingly annoying.

You know, when people go around telling me, "Oh , you are so beautiful, sweety, of course you'll get a boyfriend" I don't tend to believe them
I mean, I'm not ugly, but I'm not very pretty. I'm just me.
Maybe I should wear makeup. I bet that would shout "LOOK WHO IS AVAILABLE!"

But, besides that.
I'm going off on too many tangents.
I even forgot what this post was going to be about originally.

Should I post more "Story?" That one with the kids that is kind of amusing? At least, I thought it was amusing.

MWahahahahahMWAHAHAHAHAHAHH!!!!!
You know. I had this idea for a manga (not the one I'm working on with Dan and Liam) called "Doppelganging"
like Doppelgangers.

I imagine this really busy girl who is a genius and figures out how to make a copy of herself to take care of some of her stuff. But the copy - the "doppelganger" turns out to only LOOK like her, because he's actually quite lazy, ignorant, and ... of course he is a man.
I think this situation provides for much hilarity.

For instance, situation like:
Girl: "Go get a job you lazy bum!"
Doppelganger:"I don't want to."
G:"I need money!"
D: "Then YOU get a job." *chomping on potato chips*
G:"GRRRRRRRRRRR!!!" *proceeds to beat him over the head with something close by*
D:"AHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Stop being abusive to me" *whining*
Then the girl storms off in a huff and the doppelganger goes back to being lazy.

Anyway. imagine it like me and your rolling with laughter. There is just something so amusing about beating up your own doppelganger. LOL....... lol lol olololo..... *sigh* If I could actually draw anime, I think I'd illustrate this. ahahahahahaha.

Anyway, here's a picture I got off of google.

Designed by a "Takehan" who's site was in japanese and I couldn't really enter it. Apparently it is an image from the "magic the gathering" card "doppelganger" made into anime style.

The story of how this "came" to me is pretty interesting too.
I was whining about stuff, like .. getting a job... and I said to my brother "I wish I had a doppleganger, because I'd go make him get a job!" Then I began to scream random things like "You lazy bum! I hate you!" at this "doppelganger." My brother was more than a little frightened, but then he started to laugh.

And that's how it ALL began.

DRIVING!
I forgot to say that I actually DID pass the written exam and now my mother makes me drive.
I'm a terrible driver, at least at the backing and parking part.

Lots of people have been getting sick lately. I hope everybody gets better.

What's a really good anime I should watch.
I've seen a lot of anime, but suggest anyway and I'll be like "Huh.... coolness" or "Huh ... seen it and loved it"
There are very few animes that I dis like. I can find good stuff in them all.

Oh yeah. And What about the site change? I hope everyone likes it. I saw someone with the same avatar as me and I thought their comment was mine. ..... freaky. It's time for a change anyhow.

I'm feeling a bit random. so what. It's my right isn't it? to feel absolutely random at any time ever?!

In other news, I'm taking my drivers test today. The written one. Then supposedly in like two days I'll be taking the actual driving one and failing miserably. I'll very well die in some terrible accident versus that evil thing called "The Curb" or parallel parking. If you didn't think you CAN die from this , well, you can. And I probably will. From humiliation.
