   xxxHoLic fan fiction ....
Let me know if you like this or not.

Today is a very stressful day. Clan lord Mack finally got finished cleaning the store. Yuko had tricked Mack into cleaning by saying the place was small. But that is now behind us. Watanuki has gone to see Domeki (not that he wanted to mind you) at the request of Yuko.

While he is a way a new customer comes into the shop. A very mysterious customer. The customer's wish is to be some one other than who the customer is. Yuko explains that the price will be too great for the customer to pay. The customer doesn't care. Life is just too hard as things are now. Yuko tells the customer to let her thing about this wish. She needs to come up with a fair price.

Yuko asks Mack to escort the customer to the front gate. At this time Watanuki has returned to from Domeki's. The mysterious customer looks a Watanuki as he walks to the store. Why is the customer interested in Watanuki?

And to continue ...

After taking the the mysterious stranger, I returned to the shop. I was wondering why the stranger was looking at Watanuki so intently. Did he know this young man? (Calling the stranger a him only because of the build of his body.) If he does know Watanuki then in what capacity? OOOO, this is driving me crazy. I am going to ask Yuko … wait scratch that idea. She will never spill.

Well, I was done with my work for the next three years, I could leave for the day. I yelled, “See you guys tomorrow!” and not waiting or a response, I spun around and ran for the gate. I thought about tailing the mysterious stranger. My curiosity was getting the best of me. I know, I really shouldn’t be this nebby but I can’t help it. So, I make it to the gate and turn towards the direction that the mysterious stranger when. But he was not there…

He couldn’t have gotten out of sight not that fast. I was only away from the gate for about two minutes. I am a fast sprinter. (ok no giggling… this is a fiction you know and I can dream) I may have to ask a clan mate or two or three to help me find this mysterious stranger. I wanted to ask the question about how he knew Watanuki, if he knew him at all. It was erry the way he looked at our favorite chore boy. (um… don’t let Wananuki know that I said that. He would get angry.)

So I start to call up some of the clan mate to help me out. But who to ask first? Should it be Kikicupkake? Maybe Jeakers41?Um, I could ask my niece, Kurisushi. Oh, how about Rain66? I haven’t heard from Rain-chan in a while. So many to ask, I cannot make up my mind. I will have to think about this and be on the watch for the mysterious stranger to return. I hope it is not before I contact someone. In the mean time I will be going home to get some much needed sleep.

My sleepy thought….hum, I wonder if Gena (pronounced Gina) from another earlier fiction will show up. Maybe if I apologize to her. Shake head to wake up. Cannot fall asleep while I am walking. Hope I get home soon and with no problems of sleep walking. See you all in the morning, I hope.

To be continued.

What went before …

Yeah, that guy (?) sorta freaked me out. I actually tried asking Yuko, I went and softened her up a bit first and gave her some sake to get her in a better mood. By that time, however, she was spacing out and talking in mystic riddles as always. My next action was to try Watanuki and see if he knew anything or saw any weird spirits nearbye or something. He was attempting to cook something, but Maru, Moro, and even Mokono were bouncing around him making stupid requests. I asked him if he knew the guy (?). I really don't think he even listened to the question, got agrivated and tried to set Mokono on me. It wasn't a good day for him. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- hi mack. i do have some ideas, something that might be good for a plot point. (but i warn you, i've only read the 1st and 3rd books, so I might contradict something that happens in one o the other books. T_T sry) maybe the customer was someone else before he (?!) got to be this person here. Maybe he keeps on messing up his life and asking for a new one, so Yuko doesn't recognize him. Maybe he's also really a long-lost relative or god father or something of Watanuki, so Watanuki doesn't recognize him. ok, bye. tell me whatcha think

oooo, did I get an earful this morning. Gena (not pronounced Gina) saw what I had wrote and was she angry. Gena (pronounce Jenna) thought it was wrong to involve her when her story isn't even finished. She woke me up from a sound sleep to yell at me. Well I am off to sleep again. My real job would not like it if I sleep through my work schedule.

And the story continues ….

After a good nights sleep and doing my regular job, I am ready to tackle this mysterious stranger puzzle.
Well Jerkers41 had a great idea, but I had passed on that. I figured that Yuko would be tight lipped. My idea of recruiting Gena was a wash. So now I need to see if Domeki will help me.

Now I can’t go and ask him now. The kids are in school. If I go to the shop, I may see the stranger but then again Yuko may see me (more likely than not). If she does see me than she will put me to work.

What to do, what to do….hm not sure. Maybe I will walk around a bit. It may give me an idea on how to ask for Domeki’s help without getting Watanuki involved. I know that Domeki is still upset about the spider incident and Watanuki’s eye. I don’t want to cause Domeki any more pain.

As I walk I look at the people passing by, hoping to see the mysterious stranger. Why did he look at Watanuki like that? Did he know the boy? Is he related like Jerkers41 suggested? And what if the he is actually a she? Argh! I am getting a headache just thinking of all of this stuff. But the one thing that goes through my mind is will I recognize this person if I were to see him on the street? … My head is really aching. Maybe I am getting hungry. Time to look for a food cart or a ramen shop.

Spotting one across the street, I proceed to the next crossing area. Still not use to crossing at a designated spot. In the US we just cross were we want. Dangerous that bit but if you are in a hurry ….. So, I finally cross the street. Now what to order. Should I have some tokiyaki with ramen? Or should I have something else? ……. Why can’t I seem to make up my mind today? I am usually more level headed than this.

“Can I help you miss?” a young man asks as I approach the ramen shop.

“Uh…,” I say, still not sure of what to get, “Can you let me see a menu in English? My Japanese is not so good when I order food.” A sheepish smile is on my face. I am remembering the time I ordered something that got me really sick a few weeks ago. I knew some Japanese before I got here and have been learning more everyday but foods ….

Smiling knowingly, the young man answers, “Yes, mam. I will get it for you right away.”

As I sit at the counter, I check out the other customers there. You know who I was hoping to see, don’t you? Well, I didn’t see him. The young man came back with a menu in English. He stood there as I scanned the food they have to offer. I did decide on the tokiyaki with ramen and a drink of warm water.

“Warm water? Are you sure? We do have an ice maker,” the young man said somewhat taken aback.

I give a little smile as I say, “Yes, just warm water. Cold things hurt my stomach a bit. So I just drink warm water.”

The young man smiles sadly and goes to put on my order with the cook. He brings me my glass of warm water and then goes to help another customer. As I sit waiting for my meal, I absently mindedly stir my water with my finger.

Outside the shop, a heavily cloaked person stands outside watching Mack. This person seems to be interested in who she is and what she was doing here. The last time this person saw Mack was at the shop of the Wish Maker. And it seems that she knows that young boy that came back from an errand or something. Maybe, I can ask her about that young man, this person thought. But no, to do that will let her see more of me than I want to have seen.

To be continued ….
