Caution: Oil is evil
When your really hungry and decide to fry yourself up some chicken and fries, it is not wise to turn it up full blast hoping that it will heat up faster. Seriously. Even if you leave it there for two, three, fifteen minutes. Once you oh so innocently decide to place you chicken in it, you cannot pull your arm out fast enough! The stupid, REALLY HOT OIL!, just suddenly gets mad at you and attacks your arm for no reason! It hurts like hell! And yelling at the oil doesn't help. And if that wasn't any indication that you should back away slowly and run for your life, then you really don't want to keep adding food because your still hungry. It only aggrivates the oil further. Really. Eat a sandwitch! It's much easier! And it won't burn your arm/hand! It so burns. Oil attacks without warning. Don't underestimate the power of hot oil. I will never look at that stove the same way again...
