D Note
After resisiting my school friend's persistant attempts to get me to read Death Note manga (her selling point: drawn by Obata-san, manga artist for Hikaru no Go), I finally got around to it. At first I was just occassionally sneaking peeks from behind my sister who was reading it on internet (my friend actually managed to get my sister addicted, knowing full well having the manga available at my home would eventually get me hooked as well -that calculating-sneaky-little...)

Within 2 days, we managed to polish off around 64 chapters. Unlike other anime it was rather hard to pick a favourite character. One moment it was 'go Raito!', another 'go L!', and at times even cheers for Matsuda. I was very confuse as to where to put my solid bias until I read to L's 'death'. And even then it took a full 5 minutes for the event to soak in... then decided to take L as a favourite. Does anyone know whether L is down for real? I'm just itching to find out but isn't too keen to wade through the next thirty chapters not knowing. Since his death(?) was so sudden (concluded in 3 pages -that's it? seems too abrupt to me), I'm not too convinced, but at the same time, the series has gotten a substitute, Near. I'm very very curious to know, does L make it or not? *sratch head, scratch* I hope he's not over, cause that would make 2 dead fav characters on the list -Haku and L.

To anyone who are interested in some brain twisting plot, D Note is definitely one place to get some. All those crazy logic really put me to awe. Hm... if I'm trying to promote D Note, that make me no better than my friend... well, I'd question self moral later. Here's the site, if you may ever have some time to check it out:
