Let's just kill my brother now, okay?
Now, the subject really has nothing to do with the entry, but he's been bothering me since I got home for the first time all weekend. Although he's in bed now. But anyways.
I finished Driver's Ed, thank God, and four days later nearly got my entire family hit by some guy in a Porsche.
Summer school is also over, and I've been making fun of Mike for having to sit through Health. Mari, too, for Speech, but since she wants to take Choir and Mike just wants his study hall first semester, I think Mike deserves it more.
I went to the lake with Mike and his family this weekend, which is why I wasn't home. I'm sunburned all over, and kinda sore from when we went tubing. Apparently I did better than expected, though - Mike said he thought I'd fall off a long time before I actually did. Not sure whether to take that as an insult or a compliment, so I'll call it a compliment. Because really, I don't want to kill him, lol. Although the third time I fell, I got flipped, and it took me four times hitting the water really hard - I didn't get dragged underwater, luckily - to remember to let go. I quit after that....
Mari and I have actually WORKED on WR! Amazing, huh?

I swear, I'm making an effort to update. See? ^_~
So, yeah. I've been finishing before our second break, at 10:00, for the past two days during summer school. Comer said we could type c, v, b and n incorrectly if our fingers don't bend right, which is good for me because I type b and c incorrectly, but all the others have to be with the right fingers. Which isn't good, because I type q, z and p with my ring fingers, not my pinky. Oh well, at least I know I'm doing it wrong, so I can fix it when we're quizzed. Oh, and I almost never use right-shift, which technically I'm supposed to for left-handed letters, but once again, I know when I'm wrong, so. I finished the Microtype program, which we were supposed to have done yesterday if possible. Mike didn't finish; he said "I hope you suffer..." when he left. Joking, of course.
I put a bunch of new music on my iPod, including some Beethoven, Mozart, and Tchaikovsky (hence 1812 Overture), as well as a bunch more R.E.M., since I've been listening to them a lot recently, The Corrs, because I've gotten back into them, another Beatles album, and some other random stuff, including things we've played in pep band, like 25 or 6 to 4.
I went shopping today at Circle Center mall, downtown. I got some summer clothes, mostly capris and shorts, and a couple of shirts, plus this really nice white skirt with black flowers. I think I'll bring it to Maine with me. But I have to say, I really hate when store employees hover. Like at Nordstrom, it was really bad. There was this guy, obviously gay, who took my stuff back to a dressing room pretty much every single time I picked up more than one item. Unfortunately, stuff at Nordstrom apparently runs small, because size 9 didn't fit. Because I didn't feel like asking him or my mom to get a different size, I took the stuff that fit and said I just didn't like the way anything else fit or looked.... And some of it was actually true, there were a couple shirts that looked horrible on me. Not only were the colors (yellow and pinkish-purple) odd against my skin, but I just don't work with the whole baby-doll look, you know? I had much better luck at Express. And, since I just can't take more than two solid hours of shopping, we left.
I'm going over to Mike's tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it, except for two things: (1) He has cats. I'm allergic to cats. As in, majorly allergic to cats, as in, my eyes go completely bloodshot and hurt, and I get so congested I can barely breathe. I won't die, but I look like I will, and I end up miserable. He says he can probably keep them away, though. Because of this, I really just in general don't like cats. Except, of course, Chip the stuffed cat. ^_^ (2) This involves meeting his parents. Enough said. Anyways, he says he'll probably make me watch Star Wars: Attack of the Clones, because it's the only one I haven't seen. Oh well, at least the guy who plays Anakin (I don't remember who he is!) is hot, lol.
I've driven more now. Oh! Thursday was my last actual lesson. So, Darryl had Kari, my partner, drive around Broad Ripple, a shopping district down in the - 60s, maybe? Might be 50s. Anyways, she took 52nd to Allisonville Road, then drove up into Carmel (103rd). At that point, we switched. So I drove past Clay Terrace, another shopping district (140something) and through a neighborhood, and then he had me drive south back to school. Now, you have to understand, this is more complex than it seems. You see, about three years ago, the mayor of Carmel got it into his head that they needed to replace a bunch of the four way stops with - drumroll please - roundabouts, rotaries, traffic circles, whatever you call them. So I had to take 10 of them, the first time I had ever driven outside of a parking lot. At least I can now drive 40 mph without feeling like I'm committing suicide. But I swear, Darryl must be a masochist. Who else would EVER want to teach teenagers that aren't their children to drive?

Been a long time....
And with that subject, Rock and Roll by Led Zeppelin started playing in my head, lol.
School ended last week, I'm currently 10th in the class, I think.
I started Driver's Ed Monday. The class is taught by - drumroll please - my seventh grade gym teacher, Boekankamp. He's much better for DE than he was for PE/Health, mostly because he is infinitely more laid back. As in, we're allowed to have food and to listen to iPods, etc while he isn't talking or showing a video. Which is good. I drove for the first time yesterday, which was... well... scary and weird. And I can't get the hang of turning. I'll have to practice tonight before I have another instruction-thing tomorrow. My partner, Kari, just got her permit yesterday morning, so she was really excited and drove all over with her mom before class started. So, she was quite a bit better than me. Oh well. At least I'm not like Mike, who was able to get his actual license a month and a half ago, but he's too lazy to practice driving and so wouldn't pass a test.
Speaking of, I've been talking to him on the phone or AIM every night since school ended, which is really nice. ^_^
I started summer school today. My teacher, Comer, is laid-back and everything. He also breaks the iPod rule, and also promised not to kick us out if our cell phones go off, which is good. We got three breaks, two of which we went outside for. It was nice, about 70-75 and sunny, and I was fine in jeans and a hoodie. (Tomorrow it's supposed to be 90. I'll have to wear shorts or something. Joy. I hate wearing shorts in public.) I had about an hour and a half of extra time, since I finished early. See, I can type! It hovered between 50-70 words per minute depending on how much of the keyboard I could use. (I was slower when I could only use home row, but when he just tested how many times we could type "The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" in a minute, it was about 7.5, which is a lot more than the majority of the class.)

Yeah, yeah, I know. I haven't updated in forever. I'm not guilty in the least, for that matter....
Right. Anyway. Spring Break was... decent. I suppose. Whatever.
However, Friday after it... yes, the 13th, ironic... was one of the best days I've had in a while. Why?
Because I now have a boyfriend. Excellent, isn't it?
It is, of course, Mike. ^_^ So now it's been... three weeks. Yay.
Okay, I'm off to watch the new Death Note. Bye!

Went to the zoo with Mari today. I spent 40 minutes watching her draw elephants. Not like I had anything better to do, though.
Our friendship is really very odd; the only reason that it has lasted is because we are the only people who can keep up with each other's trains of thought. It's not really that we actually liked each other. And yet we do. It reminds me of Death Note... *shivers* Something Light would say.
Speaking of - am I the ONLY ONE who doesn't like the new OP and ED of Death Note? They're tuneless, grating, and not nearly as good as the old ones. Plus, neither one really makes sense.
So, I've started downloading the Naruto manga. I managed to get the first 15 volumes in just under an hour and a half or so. Plus I was finally able to get Shippuden episode 5, which was wonderful as usual.

I've become obsessed with D.Gray-Man. It's an excellent anime/manga, I recommend it to all those who read this. ^_^
Other than that, my life is fairly boring. Mari's had All-State Band down at IU, so I haven't gotten to talk to her.
I've started knitting myself a sweater, I think it'll be really nice. Although I believe it's only 3/4 sleeves, I probably don't have enough yarn for longer anyways, and if I do I'll use it to help weave the seams.
I start swimming tomorrow in Gym, so goodbye Grissom until April! Plus, Mike's in my group... which means I still have an excuse to talk to him. I had to steal one of Eli's shirts to wear over my suit, though. It may be a one-piece, but it's slightly too big in the chest area... which is very, very bad. So, yes. Hopefully he won't notice. I also need conditioner... yes. Note to self: go to drug store.
I slept until noon today... *celebrates*
Anyone know why we started DST early?

And so, she finally updates.
Okay, starting with Saturday. I woke up for some unexplained reason around 8:30, ruining my chances for actually getting enough sleep. Mom and I ended up going shopping with Charlotte and her mother from about 11-2, which was... a chore. Let's leave it there. Oh, and Charlotte's parents are somewhat odd about what they wear. As in her father said that only whores wear hoop earrings. I wonder how he would know...? I then went over to Mari's around 6, assuming that I would stay long only enough to make cookies. However, there was a sleet-rain-ice storm, and when we walked her dogs at around 9, neither of us could walk on the road. (Her parents were at a show choir contest with her sister.) To make a long story short, I ended up sleeping over.
I woke up around 9:50 the next day from a dream that had something to do with Sakurazuka Seishirou and his pet shape-shifter (which is, by the way, non-existant.) I was not, by the way, myself, but I have no idea who I was (although based on the context it was probably Sumeragi Subaru.) I left Mari's around 11, and later on Mom and I went to Half Price Books. I bought Speaker for the Dead and Ender's Shadow (because the Orson Scott Card bug has bitten me) and Macbeth, for my monologue. I spent the afternoon reading Macbeth, and consequently didn't get my Algebra homework done.
Monday was just... hell. As usual. No comment. Oh, and Eli's birthday. I didn't get him anything.
Tuesday, I finally got my glasses, and found out that the vision in my right eye is approximately 20/130. Left is probably 20/50. Big difference, ne?
Wednesday, Miss Grissom was finally back in Gym after 3 days being gone. I was also bitten by the X fanfic bug... and spent most of the last three afternoons reading it. Plus Speaker for the Dead.
Yesterday... Um. Well, I watched My Name is Earl, which was hilarious, and Scrubs, which wasn't as good as usual.
And today, in English, I got through 31 lines of my monologue, albeit with needed prompting. Therefore, I had the second highest in the class, and got chocolate from Williamson. ^_^

So. Well, nothing much to say, other than my thinking that Grissom would never let us rest during Gym unless someone was coughing up blood or something evolved into a scene that I plan to use in a future novel, one which is still in the planning stages.
Seriously, I don't even have names for the characters. I just named them after people from Desperate Housewives.
But yeah. So I have one and a half scenes, with general ideas about what the plot is and where it's going, and not even a hint of on-paper planning except that one and a half scene (the blood one, and one that comes earlier that explains some stuff in the blood scene. Like who the hell Susan is. No, not the main character. It's in first person, so she doesn't have a name.)

So, yeah. I did have to go to school today. But it was a two hour delay. So, we didn't have to dress for gym, but I did have to sit through Grissom's lecture on Target Heart Rate (which I've already DONE in Bio; Mike was complaining too), and did get to talk to Mike until the last minute or so.
...Is it weird that the only gift I got for Valentine's besides random candy from my friends was a singing balloon from my dad?
