Bleach
So, last night I watched Trinity Blood and Bleach. I watch/ed them both as subs, but I wanted to see if the voices were any good. (Okay, well, I knew that the one for Bleach was, but I wanted to hear Ishida, Renji and Byakuya.) Trinity Blood, yeah, they all fit, even though they weren't perfect. I hadn't seen the dub of Bleach past the first five episodes, because I had a tendency to forget or to fall asleep on the couch. So, Bleach. I knew that Ichigo, Orihime, Chad, and Rukia were all good. So, I was happy to note that Ishida's voice was very good. I don't really remember if Byakuya talked at all or not.... But Renji. Oh, God, Renji. Yeah, his voice sucked. Plus his last name was pronounced with the stress in the wrong place (aBArai instead of abaRAI) which just seemed weird, although I know that's just how English is generally pronounced... the stress is never at the end of the word. It just bothers me that it's wrong. [/rant] Then again, it's just weird hearing them speak English. Oh well, almost every good dub has one bad voice.... Naruto's is Naruto and Lee, Inu-Yasha's is Kagome, and now Bleach's is Renji.

Why do I torture myself thusly...?
I really shouldn't handwrite things for my stories before I type them... but, Tokyo Babylon [and some Death Note, but I bought that earlier, I re-read 9 earlier tonight to keep myself in the same mood] of all things inspired me to write my prologue for a book a friend and I are working on together. My brother wouldn't give up the computer, so I handwrote it first. Almost four pages, and a cramped hand. He finally left around 10:30, and it took me half an hour to type thanks to adding words. Not to mention that it's a giant history lesson, on how society tends to throw itself back to the beginning, and how self-destructive humans really are.
I gave myself a headache. I bought new manga today (hence Tokyo Babylon, only one more I have to read!), now I need mindless shoujo. Ouran, here I come!

Note to self: Wear earrings more often, or stop complaining about the pain when you have to reopen the holes through brute force and dull posts. Even if the pain lasts six hours after you're done.
Also, I'm listening to "you are my love" by Makino Yui, from Tsubasa. Love the anime - but I really don't like the song. It probably has something to do with the fact that I burned a CD with some anime OPs and EDs for my alarm clock. It was the first on there, and the clock refused my efforts to set it to a different song, one that would wake me up better. It's no longer the song that plays, though - I switch it out every quarter. So, "you are my love" first, then "Vinland Saga" by Leaves' Eyes second quarter. For the upcoming one, it's Ichirin no Hana from Bleach. Fourth quarter, in March, probably "I Am the Sea" by the Who. (Yes, I know. I like music acknowledged by the rest of the world. It's amazing, isn't it? I could almost be NORMAL, if I weren't an otaku.)

Hmm... two days in a row....
I just wanted to say, Barnes and Noble has a really sucky selection of manga... And those they do have generally don't have past volume 4.... In one case, that was ALL they had. I nearly went on a killing spree, I assure you.
