*hackcough* + rant
I'm sick, and if I try and stay home at the very beginning of the semester, mom might think something's up, because I came home early twice within the first week after convincing the nurse my stomach hurt, stayed home an entire day (coincidentally, watching Miyazaki movies the entire day), and even managed to make the doctor think it was just something viral, but it was really all the stress and not REALLY liking very many of my teachers, and that's bothering me too but the fact that I can barely play with any semblance of decent tone quality.

On the other hand, at this point Williamson is bothering me less than Granlund. You know, we got a new student teacher in band today. And I already like him quite a bit better than Granlund. I mean, he had us sight read a piece that we might play at the pops concert in February. The only comment he made was that we needed to add more accents, and when we did, he just smiled and said, "Excellent. Excellent." Unlike Granlund, who has a tendency to add in lectures about how horribly behaved we are. You know what, Granlund? We're a freshman band. We just came back from winter break, two weeks where I'll bet the vast majority of us even left our instruments in our lockers while the heat was turned down to 50 and hooligans picked all our locks so they could sell our instruments, and I'll bet that only freaks like me and Ian and Sam and all the other band geeks and marching band people practiced at all, at least in our class. And then you have the GALL, the AUDACITY to suggest that we aren't working hard enough, when so many people suddenly failed classes even though they got straight A's in middle school, the stress is killing us, it's first period, and everything?! Well, go to Hell! At this point I don't even care! You say you're a nice guy? Well, I say different! And so do the people in your precious first-in-the-state Wind Ensemble, so stop!

*rereads* I suppose this is a little harsh.... And for the record, I would NEVER say this to him aloud. Just like Williamson thinks I like her. And you know, no matter how annoying she is, when I'm in Band, I fervently wish I was in English. Where I excel, and where it is a better place. (Even though everyone knows Boeghlin is the only really good English 9X teacher.) Not that I don't excel in Band, of course.

And now you see why I like the other director, England, better. *sighs* That took 20 minutes....
