Your warm smile
And your gentle touch
Makes life worthwhile
And happy as such

Though tough times come
Our bond holds strong
And unlike some
We do belong

And the days feel like years
Without you right here
To wipe away the tears
And to hold me near

As the day drifts away
I will dream as I do
Of waking each day
Right next to you

So I wake up each day
Hoping you are there
I pray and I pray
But you’re nowhere

But I know one day
It will come true
And I’ll wake up and say
I love you too
