I'm the one person
Whom no one can see
Her delicate heart
Fragile as can be

Her delicate heart
I reside within
I'm her darkest side
To her I'm kin

Yet she doth hate me
For I am pure hate
In her heart I'm locked
So here I will wait

She's nothing like me
She's kind and caring
And I thrive on hate
A heart we're sharing

Pain's unbearable
Yet she still smiles
Despite her sadness
She still beguiles

I am the darkness
And she is the light
She locks me away
Yet I'm free at night

For her mask is off
Her emotions free
And I come right out
With reality

I know she hates me
Yet she still needs me
For Light can't exist
Without Dark you see
