The Results are in!!!

Ok, so I went to the Harper Contest yesterday. It was pretty intimidating -_- but all the honorable mentions were announced and it was weird because my name wasn't in it when they said "For Palatine High School"

So first I was freaking out but then I found out it was only for 2d and 3d art. Not New Media... the one that I had entered.

So when it came down to it, the Media Directed explained a few things about Video art ad media then she said in third place. So, I moved to get an easy entrance to get on stage but then she called out Aaron (Baudio guy)

....

So... I'm like WOW! I got second place! So that's $500!

I seriously walked in there knowing I was going to get 3rd so I was really.... like wow.

So Arron walked up on stage and got the certificate. Walked down, so I readied myself again.

"For 2nd place for her-"

I get ready.

"Painting video."

A girl gets announced and walks up.

So they called my name... got it right.
I got up but my legs were shaking, I could feel my dace getting so red. I got up there, they congradulated me, handed my my papers I got applause. I got off! I was litterally up there for like 5 seconds tops! I got my friggin ass off there.

Then the coolest part, they showed the video on a huge projector... and I got to watch everyone watch it. I got to watch all of them laugh. It made me feel so proud of myself... like I never have before.

Mr. Hostert was there and I thanked him, hugged/got photo, and my parents and sister met him.

People afterwards came up to me telling me it was funny and they liked it. Random adults shook my hand and stuff... all the while my legs were still shaking my face hot.

Then mom and Scott kept saying how proud they were. I think it was the best thing that had ever happened to me.

It totally boosted my confidence.
-my self critique deffinately cause I thought my vid sucked.
-And, um, I'M 1 GRAND RICHER!!!! That's more $$$ than I've ever even heard off! (well, not really but my god, Acen will be pletiful this year, eh)

I've GOT LUNCH MONEY NOW!!!!!

God, damn! There is nothing that can bring me down today! I'm gonna be feelin this for awhile!

And while I'm at it, Thanks Amanda! Thanks so much for telling me over and over that my vid was good and funny. Even after I tell you over and over that it's bad. And thanks for telling me my drawings are good. I mean... just thanks for being here with me, believing in me! I seriously love you more than anything in the whole god damn world. You are irreplacable to me! So are all my friends ^_^ Thank you all!

(oh and, btw, I will upload my fork video on youtube when I can so you can see what all the hub-bub is about ^_^)
