.......
Nothing to say--- very hard to stay positive with Big M in Europe, can't even talk to him. I am sitting at work, and really want to turn around and go home, but I will probably stay. Have a good day,my friends.

oh, well
The drama ends, and you guessed it-- didn't get the job. They said that there may be another openning, they are expecting retirements in the year.. that would give me more time to fix up the house to sell it. But no guarantees. I have been so ambivalent about this I think either answer would leave me anxious.

If this were Bebop , I would expect to hear Waltz for Zizi playing softly, and Jet to give a wise soliloquy-- while Spike kicked the wall, and Faye put a hole in the ceiling (LOL), and if it were Trigun, I would imagine Vash just standing , staring, looking confused and perhaps starting to cry until Wolfwood grabbed him by the collar and then said "Spikey, lets keep walking, there's still a long way to go."

Like I said, I have been ambivalent-- but I'm glad I have friends walking down this road with me. Truly, things usually turn out the way they were meant, so I am not bitter. I am very glad that the drama is over for now. I guess I will definitely see more of California, and that's a good thing. And now maybe I will replace the flooring in the kitchen and make the house a little more of what I want. (maybe make the house a little more valuable). I love you guys, and thank you so much for being with me while the drama rolled on. Maybe when I see the stars tonite, they will seem to have a different perspective.

So, now pardon me-- I think I'm going to get some eggs, and stiffen up the spikes a little-- after all, I have the rest of the day , and my friends. Or maybe I should have a donut this morning!

just a little post
Well, the garage door is fixed-- no need to call on Spike I guess (at least for now). Big M is in the Netherlands again-- the last time he was there , a couple from the hotel he stayed at found a penguin on the beach! (they sent him to the North Sea in February!)Animal control was called, and they told the couple to put the penguin in a box, and it would be picked up. Hey, don't those birds bite and shred fish? I wouldn't put it in a box! This weekend was just some routine chores and knitting, more Samurai Champloo from a disk. We have been getting daily overcast-- a think layer of clouds from the ocean, but that usually comes in June. Yup, another television weatherman "cute" phrase-- now they are calling this "May Gray"-- sorry, that just sounds dumb. Anyway, it is just a little harder to get up and scoot around to get things done... and the gray makes me feel a little whistful. In the was, I am solar powered! LOL It does give me a little concern about Chicago-- but I know where to buy special lighting to take care of that issue in case I get the job in Chicago but have a hard time adjusting.

If anyone like mystery books, I am reading a good one. It is set in the Edo period, and the "detective" is a samurai. The plot is good, and the portrayal of the times makes me feel like I'm walking around in Edo. It is called Shinjuu-- written by Laura Joh Rowland.

I so appreciate you, my friends, you are really something special. There is not much else today so I will close now. Sorry for such a lame post, but everything else is like holding my breath!

Here is a picture of the "Friendship Knot" -- a statue in Little Tokyo in L. A.

Friday!
Well- i guess this may be a 2 parter-- I am staring at the phone, and just waiting for the appointed time o.O! CosmicSailor, I'm with you- yesterday I called them 3 times and then they said they will call today. Ha! I have a cell phone, and I know just how to use it.. the name is Vash, Mamma Vash, and I'm licensed to annoy! LOL Yeah, we are goofy today. I put up some new art, but I'm also going to put it in the post (200KB is a tough boundary for me to get it all in-- one day I will learn to do it digitally but don't know how much bigger that will appear). Anyway--- here's another Vash line sketch:

I'm also giggling about CosmicSailors suggestion about Spike and the plasma canon and my garage door! One day I'll get the creativity back to day a few everyday anime sketches--

ConneryAlexis--LOL! your comments bring a smile-- have a batch of cookies guaranteed to have no cat hair (Vash locked Kuroneko in the closet this time! )

Kitsune--always appreciate your stopping by-- you're right, its a hibiscus! I love them, they remind me of some very happy times. They grow easy in California and Florida.

Yensid-- yup-- its been one of those weeks-- watching out for saving gas, attempting to fix broken stuff, etc. The picture of the yellow hibiscus was taken in Florida , at my sister's house.

It really brightens the day when friends stop by my site...if anyone is going to AX in July let me know, I would love to meet you. In the meantime, wishing you all a day where something good can hug your heart. Be back later if I get the call...

Love , peace, and biscotti!

PM_ I got the phone call this morning and I think it went well. I have to wait another week to hear if I got the job. If I did, then the fun about clearing up the house, fixing and selling it would be the issue. PANIC! Excuse me while I slip into the closet briefly---- Hey, Kuroneko, that's my pillow!

Huh?
Today was supposed to be the last interview by phone. I stayed in the standby room so I would be here no matter what. The appointed time came 7:30 am-- nothing-- after 15 min I called, and was told I would get a call back in 30 min, then nothing. Then I was told probably re-schedule for tommorow. Oh, well. (I still didn't get a confirmation of tomorrow, I guess I'll take that one one faith). I still have to get the garage door repaired-- that means taking down the receiver for the door openner, getting it re-programmed, then getting a new clicker. Need to do that before the weekend, because the door people are only available M-Fri! What ever happened to real time hours! Hmm-- I wonder is all this silly stuff could be portrayed anime style--- I could only imagine what Spike would do when the garage door clicker is gone... so I have to be available att 7:00am at work (GAH! That means another night in the standby room, or leave my house at 5:30 am--- ) If the call doesn't come ttomorrow, it would be verging on glomping time!

Vash: Psst! Hey, Mamma, there's still a couple of cookies left from when Kitsune came to visit...

Kuroneko:Dibs!

Well--lets see what kind of chaos we can stir up tomorrow! LOL-- you all are the best! When I get home today, I think the parrots are going to give me what for!

A little pic to share some sunshine:

Just 2 days more
Wednseday-- the middle of the week. Just 2 more days of work til weekend. That will be time to get several items fixed or replaces. Seems this time, the "gremlins" are not content to play with the missing items and then give them back. Oh well-- I know as soon as the garage door code is changed, I'll find the old clicker! Every morning has been gray and damp-- we get this bank of low clouds called the marine layer usually in June, but it started early this year. It's usually gone by 10 am-- this past week it has been staying with us-- I found some mushrooms growing in the front lawn (o.O--- I could end up with stoned gophers! LOL) I don't think the 'shrooms are the eating kind.
Found a book on digital drawing and did find my HTML book (guess the gremlins didn't want to keep that!) Need to take more stuff to Goodwill, because all the clutter is beginning to even get to me. Actually, the closets are neat.. but a couple of rooms are really cluttered, especially the home office (the one room in the house without a closet !) And the garage. Californians usually don't have basements, so the garages are a true piece of "found art" someimes.

regarding the possible new job, one more interview by phone tomorrow, then I should know in about 2 weeks... o.O!

Well, time for breakfast (yes , I definitely have the nibbles today so getting breakfast makes a lot of sense). Against better judgement I think I'll have some eggs-- our secretary has some of the industrial strength scent to get rid of eggy smell. I have apple scent which is weak--she got bubblegum! It is amazing stuff!

OK-- a silly question: Dunkin donuts or Krisy Creme-- what's your favorite? I like Dunkin donuts , and they have good coffee to go with it. Yes, I don't always drink chai, eventhough it is so nice.

Enjoy the day! (try to check out the video on SpookieKatie's site from 5/8 that says speaks for itself-- that's Tainted Donuts and a riot!)
CosmicSailor-- you are right on with Herring Gull-- they are the most common. The only seagull I know is Jonathan Livingston Seagull. Ah , but I love birds of all kinds!)

Now, a little picture to illustrate how nuts I feel today:

Tuesday? Can we trade it in for Friday?
Right now, the only quote that comes to mind about Tuesday is when Wimpy states "I will gladly pay you on Wednesday for a hamburger on Tuesday" ( I think that is right). Some of the really old school animation is pretty cool. I have 2 videotapes of stuff from the 1940's. I got a little magnet for my sister with Betty Boop on it-- she gets a kick from Betty Boop and I Love Lucy. What is your favorite non anime animation?-- have to say I still get a laugh from the Simpsons and King of the Hill. If you like Trigun or Bebop-- SpookyKatie had some videos on her sight that were really funny-- (they are dated 5/8) "Tainted Donuts" is a cross over of Bebop and Trigun thats hilarious.. worth checking out.
Did anyone see the David Blaine show last night. He is a "street magician", but actually it seems he is much more of a daredevil. He's the guy who was in a bubble in Lincoln Center for a week and was going to hold his breath nine minutes. I like magic-- like David Copperfield--he's got style and charm, this Blaine fellow does some amazing things, but I find them scary (eating glass, getting frozen into an ice cube). That was one of the stranger programs I have seen! Well, it was different!

Here's a little picture ( got the internet connection to work last night!_)

If you are getting showers, may you grow a beautiful garden.

Off to the Races
Its Monday which means off to the races, and start the work week. I grew a bit suspicious when the traffic was not snarled--- hmm, where did all the people go-- alien landings, turned back into time-- no it was GASOLINE PRICES! How much are you paying for gas? My little Tomato has to take 89 octane so I have to buy mid-grade-- $3.50 a gallon. I think Californians are ::gasp:: starting to carpool! (either that or not going to work LOL) The prices here changes throughout the day-- there is a website listing cheap gas locations. How are dealing with high gas prices? stayed home this weekend and was just plain lazy-- and that felt good. A lot of my neighbors did the same, haven't seen that many people hanging around home base in a while. I like the idea of cars some people have that run off of McDonald's grease. Where were they putting that stuff anyway (shudder)? LOL!

Has anyone seen or read Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy? If you have, I think I found my towel!
Yes Kitsuke, the closet is indeed a TARDIS! Now if only there was a way to steer it--- I can now blame the gremlins again for yet another little glitch-- having problems uploading pictures to image site. I still have more Eggmont Key pictures!

CosmicSailor-- I like the suggestion of taking something that caused anger, and trying to laugh at it-- It does sound a bit difficult, but would help to slide one from anxiety to calmness. That's what I love about birds-- they help to calm me, or make me laugh (like the ducks and geese here!)

Wishing you the best that Monday could be (its always a hard start)... and thanks for helping me find my stars again.

Gremlins!
Psst! Hey, is it safe to come out yet? Ok, I think I am going to venture out of the the closet now...

Kureneko: Don't leave the door open too long.. you never know what else will roll out of that closet....

Well, I told my boss a call would be coming to him-- that I am looking for a new job-- Big M was transferred and I wish to transfer. He spoke to potential new boss-- one more interview on the phone next week (Thursday morning- 7:30 AM!) There's 4 people for 1 position, but I am still in the running. This weekend and all week I have been so anxious I have misplaced just about everything, or tripped over it. Spent Saturday knitting up a storm... I think I will be finishing another blanket in about 2 weeks. Also watched some Bebop and Trigun and Samurai Champloo episodes... I think I'm feeling more settled inside. I guess I am probably going to move to Chicago, and that maybe I need the challenge of change. You all have shared some great insights about change-- thank you so much-- you are all so wonderful ! I think its safe to come out now... and am beginning to smile at some of the silly things I have done. I misplace a lot of stuff when I get anxious--- today I have just been shrugging my shoulder and stating "just gremlins--" ::blush:: I lost the clicker for the garage door! Well , I think I left that at work, but I can always replace that. And I lost the bit for my drill. I think both of those events means just make today a "play day" and do the chores next weekend.

Pimpin Satan- You are right! Change can be good... just have to stop shaking and take a glance out of the closet.

Kitsune Tsuke- Thanks for the cookies! The closet seems to have infinite space!

CosmicSailor- today I think the inner storm is beginning to calm. Once that worry machine turns on , its so hard to try to calm my mind. What has worked for you at the height of the storm?

Hidden Golden Eye- thanks for you support!

Yensid- I guess getting INTO the stress is a good goal I will try for (but I am such a scairdy cat at times, the closet still has a certain charm to be able to duck for a bit)

What manga are you reading? I think today is a good day to step out to Borders, have a chai, and look through manga. I will try shutting the closet door for a bit.

Love, peace and hey! the biscotti jar is empty again! LOL Will see you tomorrow--have a beautiful day.
