Changes
Changes coming-- I called for out of state opennings, and then was asked for my resume, and a possible interview in May. I really don't want to move, I will miss my friends. I told them about the prospect. So now I am writing the letters, but I have not told the boss, because if I don't get the job, then I would have to continue here, and I don't want to rock the boat any more than it has rocked. Anyway, intensific house cleaning for a while... and watching anime to get grounded.
I think the month of Miyazaki movies is great. Spirited Away was so beautiful! Do you have a favorite Miyazaki movie or how about favorite Anime movie? Caprice is having an Otakubowl-- go check it out! Right now So Cal seems to be getting all of its rain in March. But we are on the flat side of the canyon. The little parrot does not like rain one bit!

Anyone out there watch Dr. Who? Really cool British sci fi series about a time traveller (Dr. Who) whose time maching appears to be an old police call box. It ran for 25 years! Now it has resurfaced on the Sci-Fi channel. Let me know if you are also a Who-vian. (never fear, nothing replaces Trigun and Bebop-- only adds to it!)

If you could meet a character from anime, who would you like to sit down and have lunch with? I think I would love to talk to Jet Black-- he's a little older, and very much the Renaissance man (after all-- Charlie Parker (The Bird) and quoting Goethe is pretty cool for anime
!)

have a wonderful day (and always know where the towel is (Hitchhiker Guide to the Galaxy!)

Thunderstorm!
Glad I don't live on a hill... we had a huge thunderstorm last night.. the sky lit up with huge lightning strikes, almost sounded like hail again // big chicken hid under the covers. Big M used to take photos of the lightning years ago. I was always afraid he might get struck.. I did a fun thing last night, I learned Mah Jong solitaire.. it was online, and fun because folks were chatting. I want to learn how to play 4 handed Mah Jong. I inherited my Mom's Mah Jong set, and would someday like to learn how to use it. Does anyone play Mah Jong?

Added a new sketch to fan art, hope you like it. Click to see what Vash is up to now

Just cruising slowly through today.. I think I will go get the Sunday paper, maybe get a new book to read, and see if I can take a picture. The walking trail has pretty yellow flowers, and I'm not sure what they are.

Have a beautiful Sunday!

YOU ALL ARE So WONDERFUL !
Thank you so much for your support, and kind words. My 2 good buds at work have watched what has happened, and for 9 years were the only people I had mentioned this to at work. Yesterday I talked to some of my co-workers, I had never before shared what the _______ (still can't find a name for boss) has done-- I usually just keep that inside and just keep working to forget about it, and not cause discord or be a "tattletail" because everyone has enough on their plate to deal with . Both colleague were shocked-- so , I went to a luncheon and JOINED THE UNION ! (they were recently voted in) I asked the shop steward to order a football style union jacket for me, and I will wear it to each staff meeting! She laughed, and said she's looking for a leather one for me! You all have been so sweet and supportive! Thank you Pimpin Satan, Kitsune Tsuki, Conneryalexis, and Ozymandius Jones! I am expected now that I have broken silence that there may be some fireworks.
I am also seriously looking into positions out of state. But you all help me to hang in when it looks like the boat's sinking. So another photograph for you all:

I took a walk to get more light-- its threatening to rain again, but it was nice to walk about. I stopped for some cleaning stuff (house work is definitely not my favorite thing)... and the Gorton Fish company was at the market with a guy dressed up like the fisherman- they gave out a small can of Legos that make the Gorton's Fisherman when you put them together, then they take a picture of you and the Gorton's Fisherman. I had to admit, that made me smile. So I want to post a little Vash picture I hope will make you guys giggle (its an old one, but I can get better resolution on my post)

Thank you all for helping to keep my brain somewhat cleaned out! Big hugs to all!

Dither
Today I just don't know what to do-- its St. Patricks Day so I wore a shamrock shirt to work. I feel down, nothing right now feels right. Don't feel like drawing or knitting, and just put the TV on for noise. I just want to crawl under a rock! Well, maybe I will find a solution to the work issue... guess we all get some real doozies.

What should I nickname my boss? How about is someone could make a sketch ?

Well, the printer just broke, and there are always the gophers! Conneryalexis-- love the eggs suggestioN, and Kitsune Tsuki, you always help to brighen the moment. I am very glad it is Friday (want to run away from my boss) Unfortunately it is supposed to rain-- maybe some photography...Panda, take lots of pictures of Sakura con!

IS ANYONE COMING TO AX IN JULY?

This picture is for my friends, because you guys are de berry best!

......
Just a brief note-- I am hurt and angered at my boss-- I am tired of being ignored except when needs something, rarely thanked, and being dressed down especially when he is in the wrong. This time I fired back in writing, and sent copies keeping a printed copy myself. And the broken promises he makes. I am finding hard to forget all this and called another branch out of state for opennings...I have not been able to let this go (that's unforunate) because this is not the first time. But I don't want to leave my friends-- Big M travels much. Any one else have long time boss troubles? What did you do? Well, I consider him now Toxic, and to be avoided... if avoidance does not work, I don'[t know what to do.

But this is what his actions make me feel like, dead frozen reeds that have been crushed!

I hope that your day has been better than mine...

Back to Work
Well, not much to say, other then I'm back (my body is, my mind is just tired). The Chicago walking coat has been great for cold weather, but unfortunately knit coats stretch even longer as they as hung up. Hated to do it, but I had to cut off about 7 inches, and now I am revising the bottom. Now it is only about 7 inches below my knees, but at least it won't drag through the mud (mohair and alpaca are fragile) If I decide to cosplay for AX in July, I probably would have enough time to knit another. I'll get a picture when I am through with the revision, but now its just a Chesterfield. Oh, well.
What kind of things have you had to do that you knew were needed, but kind of regretted later? I keep wishing I had left the hem a little longer, but then again, I need something I can wear more than once.

Now to deal with the gophers!

Wishing good friends a gentle day!

Another Day
Big M is here this weekend... we had a screamer of weird weather yesterday--- sunny, squalls of rain, and yes, hail and snow in So. Cal! He got hail, and it melted in about 3 minutes. The sky is clouding up again... I feel very slowed down.. its hard to finish anything. I get short in breathing.. I will be glad when this breaks up. The knitting is in the basket, and sketch pencils just sit on the table. Guess I'll just bundle up today. Anyway, just a short post to say hi ! I'll try to get around to sites later.

Stay warm and well in your nests!

Its Thursday (I think)
Did you ever get a foggy brain with a cold or virus? I feel as if I had been taking my brain for a walk, and it snapped the leash and ran away! Still having problems breathing, and today I feel like someone mopped up the floor with me. Not sleeping good, still hot and cold.
I know -- why are you going into work if you don't feel up to par. 1. I am not contagious 2. have bills to pay 3. after being in bed for 5 days, I can't take daytime TV! (SHUDDER) lol-- So the desk drawer has chicken soup in a can, packets of miso soup with nori and green onion (hey, this one works really well!), and tea. I think this is just going to take some time to break up.

Do your pets ever react to what you watch on TV? Big Guy gets excited with cop shows and anime with mechs-- he goes "choo- cha- cho, cho- cho- cho" as if he were shooting a gun. He started that when we lived in Detroit-- first he was rapping-- yes he would shake his head around, then he started doing that during cop shows. Ramana gets happy during opera-- she loves the flashy costumes and tenors and especially the sopranos. Sometimes after an opera, when everyone leaves the den we hear her softly singing nonsensical words, but she carries a tune briefly!

Well, time for tea ::pours virtual tea all around::.. I will post this little picture I took in Little Tokyo where you can have roasted corn as a treat...

Big M is coming today, then off for another trip on Monday.

Back to Work
Well, I came back to work, but now I know how a teapot feels, drippy if you bend forward too far. Kitsune--thank you so much-- that big electronic glomp and hugs is great! Watched a lot of Bebop-- then my good fortune a Law and Order marathon-- if I fell asleep, that episode would be repeated. And I could stay warm under the covers..I didn't even want to knit! We are getting rain tonight, but I am sitting in bed in the standby room with some music and a little dinner. Not a fascinating day, but not awful.

Some questions for my friends...

?have a favorite soft drink?
?have a favorite animal that is not your pet?
?what period of time would you like to visit?

Favorite soft drink for me is soda-- yes Coke and Pepsi most often, and some of my crazy Italian sodas.... my favorite animal not a pet, you guessed it-- a duck! But I also love penguins, they just trundle on, through the worst conditions, have close families, and they strike me as playful, plopping down and toboggoning. If I could visit any time period, it would be ancient Rome--- I have to marvel at the inventions and engineering of the time. Some pretty elegant stuff (like aquaducts, even plumbing with magnificent hot baths). And very interesting art.

well, brain is empty right now. Thanks for stopping by... and when you fall asleep tonite, may you sense the gentle hugs of loving spirits of nature, smiling at the dance of the stars!

And when you dream, perhaps geranium petals will dance through your dreams...

Warning:Whiney Mood !

Did it ever feel like machines got together and decided this is the day to annoy the owner? Well, that's the only wasy I can explain how things are going here...my job is pressure enough, but sometimes the house can be equally nasty. I would love to have a majo domo who would oversee the house, keep everything running, and a housekeeper, so the only thing I would have to address is my job. Talk about fantasy land! Still have the crud, so my temperament is bordering on tearful or evil. Did you every notice your mood change when you get sick, but the obligations just keep coming? So that's the frustration right now... in the view of the world, pretty small. In a day of feeling half decent, the house will be clean, and probably in 2 days I'll get in contact with the repair guys. But right now, I am a bit too emotional-- feel like crying for no reason.

But when I consider my wonderful friends here, that does help me feel better. You folks are the best!

Well, most of So Cal is going crazy this weekend with the Academy Awards.. Do you all like to watch them.. would you try to get a ticket to watch the stars walk on the red carpet? I like to watch the blurbs before the big hoopla-- I love to listen to the chef Wolfgang Puck, he seems to have interesting ideas to cook things, I don't mind cooking if it is something fun. Italian dishes are often fun-- I remember one called brigiole-- it is a thin steak rolled up with bits of garlic, maybe onions, maybe escarole-- that was one family recipe that did not get passed down so I will have to look for it. I guess today I will try to get out briefly (to clear my head), then see what I can get done.
Now for some pictures: The skyline of L. A. on a clear day (rare)

And this is a statue of the Friendship Knot in Little Tokyo, near the Marukai Market.. a blend of Japanese and Hawaian-- later I found there is another Maruakai not too far from the house...

May you spend today with a good friend, and discover something sweet!
