Finding the Quiet Spot
Time certainly runs faster than I can. It seems to sneak away too fast-- so many things I want to do, and before I can finish the first thing, its time for sleep. Have you ever felt as if thoughts were spinning through your head so fast, it all seems like a blur? This week has felt like I'm in a blender. Today, I decided to try to find the quiet spot inside--though the task wasn't done, I walked outside, watched the sunset, and just enjoyed the quiet. How good that felt! Day is done, time for fun... time to say heya to good friends! Huggles to you all!

   Never a dull moment
Well, this is the time of year So Cal turns brown and crispy. Had a lot of rain earlier this year, and now all that vegetation burns! We get hot furious wind that blow from the desert, and heat up as they pass through the canyons, that act like a narrow funnel. Yep, the infamous devil winds, or Santa Anas. The strange thing is they blow at night. Last night I heard the leaves skittering across the patio, sounding like millions of crabs skittering everywhere. The temperature got warmer, despite being 10 pm. Then I could hear the tiles of the roof as the winds played them like a xylophone! The little parrot hates the wind blowing, so he begins to screech and yell "I'm Big Guy" as if to scare the winds away. If only he could do that! With the wildfires parts of the freeways close down , and the traffic has come close to gridlock. 2 h + to get to work. Time to use the standby room or just stay in the office, cuz that kind of traffic gets my back! But the days are clear, and cool-- the winds blow polution away. I guess its always a mix.

Hugs and love and peace to good friends!

Mosy slowly, and just still feel like remaining glued to the couch. Work 's been pretty busy-- every time I get a call to do something extra, I think of Spike's eternal whine: I don Wanna-- I guess I can take some lessons there.

Has anyone seen the Pepsi commercial with the 2 chickens as sumo wrestlers? Look for it , it is hysterical. I feel like going to sleep-- we've had a bunch of wild fires crop up and new ones popped up not far from work. The biggest one is at least 90 miles away. Just hope none pop up locally-- I do not want to go home and find "roasted parrots".

Well, here are some interesting little leaves I found walking about. Enjoy! A good day to good friends

Words of Wisdom from Iced Tea
I remember when Lipton tea had little ceramic animals to collect, and some tea bags had little sayings on them. I really like those little unexpected things. Snapple iced tea seems to have fun facts to share under the lid, so hears this mornings:

The average smell weighs 760 nanograms.

Interesting. Fortune cookies are also fun. It's been a bit hectic here-- my team forgot Girls Night Out , everything was so upside down. For a while, I felt like hiding, and asking if it was safe to come out. Have not done my usual things , like go for chai at the bookstore, or try to work at HTML. Where does everyone learn it? I wonder if some of my books are out of date. Could someone recommend a simple and current source of learning?

Well, I understand the flu season is going to be moving in early, so stock up on chicken soup, and warm fuzzy slippers , sweatshirts (with your favorite anime character of course) I guess that everyone is pretty busy, so I wish you health and something that makes you smile today. If you happen to visit my site, if something made you smile, please share it.

Love and peace!

A little desert flower for you enjoyment!

Days are getting shorter

seems each day that it takes the sun longer to "wake up" and light up the sky. It makes it that more tempting to stay in bed, and also that much more tempting to make as few decisions as possible-- what's for dinner? meh, no plans, just whatever, what to do this evening-- by the time I make a decision, its time to go to sleep. But that's OK, because staying snuggled up in bed just seems comfortable. Have you ever had days that it just felt good to sit, and not do much of anything?

Sometimes, the computer seems like a big mystery box-- for 2 days it took so long to bring myO up that it was really hard to visit or post. I didn't know if my machine had a virus, or just what. I'm curious, where has everyone learned all the cool HTML code for neat sites? I have problems even when I try to copy something (Lousy typist!)

What are some of the typical things that are a sure sign of fall in your area? Here, we begin to see Canadian geese migrating, and the state fair comes but things don't vary too much. Weather stays hot through October. Big M will be travelling a lot these next 2 months-- I will head to Florida again to be with Charly, my Daddy-O. What things do you enjoy in the fall? One thing I like once it gets cold is a nice thick soup, and an anime marathon! I will put the rest of the background picture up--- soon as I wake up again.

Here's a little picture that's like me today (barnacles don't move around much either, and they are happy where they are) Enjoy!

Strange Days
The other day, several of my neighbors becames very anxious-- there was a raucous loud cawing noise, and suddenly about 20 crows and ravens swooped around, I only got a brief photo when the birds started to leave. They circled, then landed in one tree. Some folks began to see this as an evil omen-- I told my neighbors there must be a good food source in the backyard, which was the case. Some times there are odd things that nature does.

I hope you are safe, The Mouse, and Yami Loni with the rage of Rita. I truly hope that's the last storm of the season.

The shoutdown-- everyone dumped their load on the boss, then demanded an instant response--- I didn't think that was fair-- it made him defensive. So I did the unpopular but I think the right thing in saying that if everyone wanted to be heard, give him time to think just as each one of us would feel was fair. I often bring my knitting into the monly meeting--- pressure can be gauged by how fast Mamma knits== I almost completed a 9 X 7" panel in the hour! I have heard nothing, and don't wish to hear much more, because my job is a bit more vulnerable than the rest of them, so I'll sit tight. But, to be honest I do wonder if there could be reprisals (I've been there too long to be fired, but I wanted to get more hours as part time is not what I want)

Thanks for the wishes from the impacted tooth, I have just had to find soups and such cuz it is a big hole!

Trying to come out of the funk, but I get so anxious-- I feel better when I can find a new bird or plant, so I try to take the camera everywhere. My house is a terrible clutter mess (Big M is away on a trip, and when I get anxious , I hide in my bedroom). Well time to venture out-- my friend said there are turtles near the duck pond. I have to do some stuff at work, so when I go, I'll try to look for the turtles!

I hope everyone is well and safe! Candles in the window, and love for good friends. Be by sites a little later. I just want to add a little picture more of more pleasant time and place.. hope you enjoy...

It Rained Today
Funny thing about depression, it is a thundrstorm that happens on the inside. Some folks have rain, but I also have lightning that is fierce, as well as rain. I try to keep the lightning inside. I have had several things happen over the past week-- one I cannot now discuss, then this weekend to add to the fun I had an impacted tooth that had to be extracted, and my jaw is so sore, and I continue to have fevers.

Today we are supposed to have a meeting at work that is more like the showdown in High Noon. I have a question for you , my friends. What do you all do with folks who shout you down, tell you to shut up, but when serious stuff comes down, want you to do the speaking up? I have been trying to be still and small, it is so hard not to shout. What do you all do when anger is so high you want to throw something? Any suggestions or thoughts appreciated.

You all are really great folks, sorry for the rant, but I just about feel like I have been jinxed! If something or someone is raining on your day, may you find a bit of a rainbow.

TGIF

Been a very long week.. still have many messes to untangle. Yesterday, so tired I fell asleep at 5 PM! Dark Kiba has been givign me some more suggestiong about HTML, and I bought a book to help me understand. Since I knit alot, eventually I would like to use a piece of knitting as a background for my posts. Still working with phtoshop to learn how to resize but mostly organize my pictures (I have bunches to upload). Has any one used wireless broadband? Is it faster than dial up? I know it is expensive, but it is also portable. Considering the amount of time I have to spend away from my home, I may need to look into it.
Do you collect items? Coins, toys, posters? I have been starting to collect small anime figurines. At work, I have a 1" high Inuyasha that sits on top of the monitor to protect it from "demons".

Now for something new: Nosy question of the day...
what's your favorite color? Mine is azure-- a deep turquiose I see after sunset...

Good day to wonderful friends-- try to find the morning star (I think its Venus), a little time with nature can help the day a bit.

The Kapok Tree
Well, if the world moves any faster and with any more surprises, then maybe it's time to hitch a ride to Mars! For a week there have been some negative things happening, then I got a fever, and Charly-horses in my legs. Well, at least I am still employed and still breathing. I am still working on photos from Florida (trying to get used to a new program, I keep misplacing the resized photos, and loading up the full sized ones.)It's finally kapok tree time. this tree has a "fruit" , a big green pod, that bursts open with what appears to be white cotton, like plushie stuffing. The flowers are huge pink things, about 6 " in diameter. They are so cool to look at, and sitting on a bench under the tree does help to relax me. Strange thing is the ducks have relocated since our weather cooled down quite a bit (76 degrees, instead of 100) . Well, stay a spell and enjoy the tree. I added fan art from Paranoia Agent-- just couldn't resist drawing the frog!

New Background

Well, sometimes when I draw and scan the drawing, its so big that it doesn't fit in fan art, so I use it as a background. Obviously, this one is Spike and Faye--- this one is for Panda, Novapup and TheMouse, remembering good fun when we met at AX. It was also the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland.. I could not resist adding the famous mouse ears. This is actually half of the drawing.

And now, for the amount in the jar..$ 26.33. Will catch up with visiting on sites a little later.

A great day to good friends!
