What's the story, Morning Glory
Any news from the world. Its been a wonderfully cool and lazy day. The only thing I left out for was a haircut. That always feels so good, to have someone fuss and pamper one for a little while....MMMM. The short spikes have helped me get through wiskedlly hot days (100 + degrees) and curtail my head becoming drenched from sweating, ,cuz now is just sticks up. Yes, I am blond and blue eyed, but also quite stocky-- as far as pictures, I am somewhat shy there. Perhaps someday I can be a little mmore relaxed.LOL-- I guess two aspects of Vash that let me laugh, is that there is someone more axxious and whining than me (I think). I always try to cover the anxiety especiall during intense times, but later is really comes out either in silliyness, , or whining. A question for you: how do you hadle a hot situation, and what do you do afterwards?

well, I guess it's time to ranble back to bed. (It's not unusual to get up nin the middle of the night, do womething brief, and go bakc to sleep on days I fall asleep early)

May your rivers and streams be filled with your favorite flavor soda pop! In a salute ot Snoopy, I shall quaff a root beeer before bed. Catch you all on the other side of starshinne. Have a creative day!
Love ... and peace, bisoctti and donuts.

   Rocky Road, Anyone
Vash: Watch out folks, Mamma is in a crazy mood!. You better run, hide, ,no one is safe-- when Mamma has a camera, better look out-- gahhhhh

Yup--- silly mood I am in---having nothing but random thoughts-- This photo shows I ...have rocks in my head, am having a somewhat rocky day, am craving Rocky Road ice cream, need a vacation in the Rocky Mountains, but definitely know my friends really ROCK !!!

Ozy J--a ride through the air on butterfly wings, Milkycat--a million sunbeams, Panda--sweet jazz, KamiyaUsagi--clouds to dance on, Yami Loni-- a rainbow of colours to play with , Balinese-- warmth of friends, Thrush Battersea-- a pocketful of moonbeams, Silver Falcon-- the cunning of a fox.

Well, time for my fuzzy floppy slippers, and popcorn and a late day sleep in-- I think tonite will be a Bebop night , because if Vash does not have a day off, I think the fiend will be crankier than Mamma----
Vash: Aw, man, I'm not cranky, YOU ARE, give me a break, and just let me sleeeep alreadyy----

Love, .....and peace.

Tea for Two
Well, rolled out of bed quite late today. Another MMMMM rather stay in bed with a book, or watch anime, and have some chai. Then PANIC! OMG its a work day ! Well, "night patrol" nights (late night working, be available for problems) will do that. How my co-workers are able to sleep soundly during those times is beyond me-- I always have one ear open to hear the telephone. We have a room to use for those occassions, and there's a microwave available, and television. Actually, I guess it could be much worse-- like weekend night patrol-- (arrrgh available for 3 days together, feels like you have been working without a break forever). I guess that's what it takes to keep everything running all the extended hours. It's a bit hard for an old Plant like Mamma. I have 2 wonderful friends at work , and how they can put up with my grumps in the morning I will never know. With incredible loads of paperwork in addition to everything else we do, we decided to go to dinner once a month to keep everyones spirits up and relax. On my birthday, we went to a restaraunt. My friends were very good at keeping giggles inside that day. Waiters and waitresses came to our table, and each one tied a red balloon in my hair! It's so good to laugh loudly in the company of good friends.
Vash:" So why did you call this post tea for two"

Because when my friends met for our work group, I surprised them with biscotti and chai-- just because they are special.

Random acts of thankfulness-- they make both recipient and giver feel good. You can"t miss!

I send a rainbow with luck and love to all my friends today. See you on the otherside of starshine.

Wanna Buy a Duck?
There are 4 duck ponds where I work-- and the ducks know they own the place. I was trying out a new little camera, struggling with a very unfamiliar system, concentrating very hard by my subject, when up behind me walked a duck who QUACKED, startled me and I fell on my butt, near the front entrance. I missed my subject, so the noisy duck walked up and here he is!||sigh|| there is just something about ducks-- when they waggle their tails, and seem to mutter like important chiefs as they walk along. I wonder what Vash would make of 2 things: 1. a duck 2. a bagel. After being startled by a duck, I'm just in a silly mood. Well, quaaaack , a flock of mallards for my friends, because its hard to be sad when a duck walks up to you.

   The Magic Box--Thank You Frends!

I want to give such a big hug to my friends-- a very big hug. Thank you Panda for your help with HTML, and to Last Guardian85, Milkycat, OzyJ. This is the first picture from my little canyon---this is a honeysuckle from a hillside near the house. The canyon has breaks of open land interspersed with suburban sprawl. Luckilly,, one of the large breaks is close by, and there are enough breaks so it doesn't have a city feel. The desert isn't too far from where I work. The magic box-- the camera.. I will walk a little further if I have a camera with me, just for a chance photo. I am beginning to join you all in the 21st century (we Plants get about slowly) Oh, Oh ! I hear a door rattlling---there is goes-- the red blur-- Vash,no---crash! well, there went the pistachio biscotti!

Panda, I sent you blue skies, OzyJ Isend you a field of california poppies, Milkcay I send you a laughing brook, and Bali-kitty, I send you a fragrant meadow.

Who knows where it goes
Sometimes, making changines on a site is a risky things. I tried to add a banner, and then my posts dissappear (Vash: well Mamma, if you tried typing with your fingers instead of your tail...)everytime I worked n the intro, a little more of the flooble code disappeared or altered. when I added the flooble back, all posts dissappeared. Somehow I get the sneaky suspicious HTML is brought to you by the people who invented the Rubik Cube. This post will be appearing in bits-- the flooble is off for a little while to figure why it is blocking posts.

The other side of starshine
It's now nighttime as I rattle the keys to the computer. Bluesy jazz wails from the other room, with harmonica sighing. A time when the basic things that needed doing, got done. That's a great feeling to have just before bedtime. Sometimes , I like to save up the fun things to do, jealously hoard them til the right time, and then savor each one during a lazy unfilled moment. Unfortunately now many of them. The problem comes with too much planned-- the trick I need to learn is creating the time to ensure something fun is done along with the "musts". "TO DO" lists just get too long.

Just want to send warm thoughts and wishes, and watercolour days to my friends-- you are all very special. A beautiful and good night. I'll see you all tomorrow, on the other side of starshine.

   Where's the Boat
Silly grin on my face, I was remembering something from Organic Chemistry in college (you know, when dinosaurs ruled the Earth-- it was Mamma's roommate who discovered fire! Oh, such an old Plant indeed). Organic chemistry is the chemistry of carbon based compounds, like sugars and stuff-- a subject quite easy to screw up. I was scheduled to study that in the summer, and I sweltered. We were packed in a large lecture hall, no air conditioning-- the professor held up a hexagon, a model of a benzene atom. He laid it flat, pulled one corner at 12 0 Clock pointed toward the ceiling, and pulled the opposing corner at 6 O' clock toward the floor. He holds up the model stating "This 3D model is called the chair". It did look like a little chaise lounge. Sweat rolling down his face, he placed the hexagon model on the table, and bent the 6 Oclock corner up toward the ceiling like the 12 O clock corner-- it looked like a bad origami sailboat. He held up the model and states " This 3D model is called the boat". For the next 20 min, we melted in the sticky summer heat as he held up the plastic hexagon, ,bending the corners up and down shouting "This is the boat""This is the chair".. over and over, asking the class did everyone see the boat and chair. When everyone finally groaned , he continued to another topic. Ten minutes later, a sleepy vioce from the back whined "Where's the boat--I don't think I saw that..." The professor quipped "You just missed it !" I got to hear that voice whine some of the most hilarious comments made for another year. I wonder where the person who belonged to that voice went. Funny how events so far and long past can leap and be relived as if one where in a time machine. But I am equally glad we don't remember smells, because that year in chemistry lab was the smelliest summer of my life.. and probably one of the funniest.

A question for everyone-- my little car (a very mundane red little Chevy sedan) needs a name! I have named all my cars-- my sister as a kid came up with the best ones. This poor car is 3 yrs old and nameless-- not else to say very dusty, and perpetually in need of a wash, its dusty in Californiaa. Give me your suggestions folks! (**blush** embarrassed myself by yelling!) Catch you all tomorrow on the far side of the dew!

As the sun is setting, the parrots fluff their feathers and settle to sleep. I send a giant hug to my friends-- Panda, I send you bright fushia bouganvilliea bushes, Last Guardian 85, I send you a sequoia tree for patience, Ozy J, I send you a pond full of baby ducks that have just learned to swim, Milkycat, I send to music to rock the stars, TAG, I send you an orange grove, ,like the one on the corner near to my job, Bali-kitty I send you a kazoo to make music and cut loose with fun, Thrush Battersea--I send you a music box with the music of the spheres, and Silver Falcon, I send you an eagle to ride the skies with . Love and Peace to all.. and biscotti and donuts.

   Cricket Song
I only noticed last night, as summer is approaching , that I have not heard the crickets chirping. I remember that very clearly when I lived back East as the surest sign of summertime. Here in the canyon , deep azure and teal skies during evening, with a bright star ahead. As I drive home, somehow the star seems to race ahead of me, with the moon in tow. Sometimes, I pull into a parking lot so I can look up at the star, and watch very subtle changes in the hues of night skies. It's one time I find a comfortable sigh , and feel that somehow, the Earth is OK, and the world will be gently rocked to sleep-- hopefully sweet dreams. One day I'll learn the name of that star, because it seems to shine like a guardian angel.

Goodnight, starshine-- Ozy J- I wish you sweet but persistent hummingbirds, and Milkycat, I send you sweet laughter to brighten a day, Wolfy-- hear the music and keep dancing-- Balinese , I wish the warmth of friends, Panda-- I wish you a California sunset at full glory, Thrush and Silver Falcon, may you always have bright days. Friends are the rarest jewel the universe can ever forged. And I send love to all of them.
